This is a sign up for a role play concept I've always wanted to try. A fantasy/adventure inflation role play!
Here's the basic idea. We'll all start in the same city. It's a medium-large trade center. The city's name is Balmora. The majority of it's popularity is human, but any race of any profession could ecke out a living here. Just let your fantasy imagination go. Ever wanted to see how big an elf could get? If armor is stretchy? If there's a spell of Waterballooning? Go for it!
Here's a basic character layout, but modify it however you want.
Name: Age: Gender: Build/Body Type: Race: Profession: Other:
Here's mine. I write short stories staring this unique elf.
Name: Quint Whiteharvest Age: Young, in elf standards Gender: Male Build: Husky, generally chubby Race: Inflation Elf Profession: Mage Other: Quint has been exiled from a nearby elven community for his odd tastes. He now lives in a community of other Inflation Elves, and lives on selling trinkets and enchantments. He's good friends with a construction wizard and an inn kepper/ramen shop operator.

Name: Matthew Holyblade Age: 17 Gender: Male Build: Chubby lower body (gut, butt, etc), but muscular upper body (biceps, pecs, shoulders, etc) Race: Human Profession: Knight/Paladin-in-training (Yeah, a little stereotypical ^^;; ) Other: A proud warrior, but pretty dense every now and then. Also has an interest in the Inflation Elf race.

Maybe we should also include gender/sex in the profile? You can never tell with those elfy types. *glares suspiciously*
Name: Grak Age: 23 Build: short and thin Race: Unclear. Possibly was a cat-person or kobold before some gruesome accident, but could equally be a rare or unique species of life. Has a blend of mammalian and reptialian traits, slit pupils, one cat-like ear, a horn, and a small third arm. Other: Your standard gurgi/gollum/weird little critter type. Has some skill in alchemy and the necromantic arts. Has a self-described handsome physique, or what would be handsome if it were not obscured by scales, fur, and general incongruous anatomy. Warning: Not housetrained.

Wow, I'm surprised that I blew right over gender! I'll add that now.

Name: Lucia Dialmo Age: 17 Gender: Female Build/Body Type: Fat and short. Race:Girthila Elf (race of super fat elves) Profession: Battle Dancer Other: Since her birth Lucia was very fat because of her race, she was able to remain mobile even at the most extreme of weights. Like most women in her family she was trained as a Battle Dancer since she was a little girl. At the moment she weighs about 1950 pounds (under average for her race) but still dresses in the traditional Battle Dancer garb. Most women of her race tend to be 3000 pounds or higher, but because of her rigorous training she had kept her weight down. The Girthila Capital of Glutionas is her home townas she is the 4th daughter of the High Priestess. Being so "skinny" and of royal blood she was a shame to the family and exiled by her mother the Preistess who weighs several hundred tons.

If anyone wants the basic idea/powers of an inflation elf here, just tell me. Other than that, I think we're ready to start. Everyone agree? I'll make the thread now.

Yeah, that's fine! You can do whatever you want! Within reason. But we'll cross those bridged once the stupids start to burn them... wait a second...

I'd advise you put a limit on the elf-subtypes. I've seen elfism take over fantasy RPs before, and it aint pretty.

I don't see how elf-ism could make an RP die. The only time I've seen an elf go sour is in an IRL RP where one focussed on snipinng to where he could head sht everything. But, I'm still interested. How could elf-ism kill an RP?

It doesn't kill per say, but it can detract from the experience when there's an elven subrace for practically anything and everything you could want to be. If elves can be great at anything, why even bother having dwarves and goblins and whatnot?

I don't see any problem with that, honestly. It's the players choice, but it would be unlikely unless we were in elven country.

I see. Maybe it's just me then. >.>
Either that or I've been hanging around Forgotten Realms fans too much.

Name:Chester Moonshade Age: 19 Gender: Male Build/Body Type: Average nothing special to look at. Race: Human. Profession: Mage/potion maker. Other: Still a novice he sometimes goofs up his potions, causing expansion from weight gain to inflation of the body. But the people don't really seem to mind. He drifts from town to town looking for a place to belong.
