The night wind swept across the lands, the grass moving to it's breath. It was a cloudless, star filled night. Perfect for traveling, which was exactly what two hyenas had in mind.
Toma opened her emerald eyes, taking in the scenery for a few moments. She always had trouble remembering where she was when she first woke up, a side effect from completely losing her memory so long ago.
When the memories filled her head again, she smiled and quickly searched the grasses for the hyena companion she had met earlier in the day. She hoped he was still there and hadn't changed his mind about traveling with her. It would be so nice to have some company.

-The male still lingered in the depths of half sleep when the grasses rustled with the sound of the bright female. And it was enough to draw him out of it, ears lifting as his mouth gaped open in a large yawn.
The night was crisp and clear, and the knowledge of some verbal company had him in a rather chipper mood, and he pushed himself up much more quickly then he usually would have, streching his legs to prepare for the trip.-
"Sleep well Toma? Ready to go?" -He offered politely as he paced around a couple of steps himself. Boy he was excited! He felt like a silly little boy. Perhaps he'd have to recruit traveling partners more often.-
