It's late...everyone's asleep...untill...
...wait...what the...?
The covers slide off as D sits up in bed.
...Do I smell...smoke?
Confused, he gets out of bed and makes his way to the door. Touching the handle makes his wince.
Hot?!
D rears back and kicks his door down, flames licking the edges as he stares, wide eyed.
"STUDENTS-UP-NOW!!!"
He practically screams as he bounds out through the flames to the fire alarm on the wall across from his door. The alarm sounds throughout the school, loud enough to wake everyone...however, the sprinklers don't turn on...
...Damn...what's wrong now? How are we going to survive this one?

((Conditions: The school's on fire...duh. The sprinklers don't work. And remember there are many other students other than the registered ones.

Objectives: Help students out of the fire! SURVIVE!

I ask that this be closed to anyone who joins after this gets started up. Anyone before, it's wide open! Good luck, Team!

MISSION START!!!))

Darkness swirled around the girl as she slept silently in a deep slumber until, suddenly, a loud and repetative noise seemed to echo in her head, reaching her in her dreams. What is that sound... Sakura slowly opened her eyes, staring blankly up at the cieling. An alarm? Rubbing her eyes as she sat up, her nose quickly caught a scent of something rather familiar. Smoke...? It only took her mere moments to catch on that something was wrong. Turning on her bed so that her feet dangled off the bed, the young english girl stood up, her night gown swishing around her legs, and walked over to the door. The closer she came to it however, the warmer she became. A light seemed to dance under the door crack, causing her to freeze in her tracks. Fire?!

Hiro had been slumbering semi-peacefully when the ringing of the alarm woke him up. He was so startled by the sound that when he bolted upright, his left hand slipt of the edge of the bed and he came tumbling to the floor as a result. Sitting up from his position on the floor, Hiro rubbed his head in pain and glanced around, alert that something had happened to cause the alarm to sound off. His instincts were then to rush to the door and check on sakura. Unfortunately as soon as one finger touched the metal handle of the door, it quickly recoiled back in pain. A gasp of surprise and pain escaped his mouth and his other hand flew up, grabbing the right, injured wrist. "Tch... like hell this will keep me back!" Stepping back with his legs spread apart to brace himself, Hiro brought his left hand back, preparing to attack. With a smirk of confidence, he then swung his arm upward as if slashing with a sword, and in an instant a huge gust of wind sliced through the door, tearing it apart. Flames licked violently at the broken door now, attempting to enter into the room and strike at him. Yet again he sliced through the air, and again some force of wind blew, breaking apart the flames and creating a path. Ignoring the smoke, Hiro charged at the closed door in front of him, slamming his shoulder into it in an attempt to enter Sakura's room. "Sakura! Sakura! Are you alright?" Taking a step back from the door, slightly coughing, he shouted once more, "Step away from the door!"

Sakura stepped back from the door, unsure as to what to do. She had to escape from the room. But how? The window maybe? But then what of the other students? And what of Hiro? Just then, there was a loud bang and her door began to shudder. "H-Hiro..." A flood of relief seemed to course through the girls body as she heard her friend calling to her. "Hiro! I'm alright." After hearing his warning, Sakura ran from the door, and seconds later it split open, shards of wood flying into the air. Then a figure appeared through the billowing smoke, who she quickly recognized as her friend. "Hiro!"

After breaking into her room, Hiro rushed towards Sakura and quickly held onto her, embracing her and checking to see if she was hurt. Once he was satisfied with the results, he grabbed her hand and led her to the door. "Come on. We can't stay here. It's too dangerous."

"Hiro, wait! We have to get the others too! I'm sure they can be of some help." Giving him a stern look as she spoke, Sakura knew immediatly that he agreed for Hiro had quickly nodded. "Let's start with Kira since he's right next door to you. Then we'll gather all the other students starting with whomever is closest."

"Ah, no Young...we mustn't..." Came the echoic voice of an unknown girl.

"Don't worry, I shall be gentle, my Dear." Came Young's familiar voice, though equally as echoic as the girl's.

"A-Alright...but just this once..." Replied the Echoic girl's voice. "Just one last request..."

"Anything, my Dear..."

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Came a sharp screech from the girl's mouth, no longer echoic as the Fire Alarm sounded out. Young bolted upright out of his bed, as he slammed onto the ground quickly, having been jerked awake from his dream. Young lie on the floor, blinking the sleep away as he looked around hazily, wondering what the alarm was that had woken him up. It took him a moment to notice that it was abnormally hot in the room, and the alarm was actually a fire alarm. "Aw, Shi..." Came his reply, as he stumbled up, running to the door a minute. He began to reach for the handle, but remembered something about his school's fire-drill's as he stopped to think. 'Okay...stop drop and roll...wait, that's only if I'm on fire...I think...so if their's a fire, then before opening door's you should do something...something about a handle...screw it...' He thought annoyingly as he brought his right leg up, his bedroom door bursting open and slamming into the wall on the other side of the hallway. Luckily, their hadn't been any student's their at the time, a thought that hadn't occurred to Young at the time.

On a side note, it would help to know that Young was not a morning person...thus upon waking up, the reason for his strange flowery language and normally excellent planning being absent was because he did not like being woken up, and was usually like that every morning before he properly showered and dressed. He began to regain his composure for the moment though, due to the flame's around the hallway, and the one thought to help any student's still trapped in the room's. He ran through the hallway's, most of the student's running around in the hallway's were pretty panicked, but their were group's trying to gain some type of order amongst the chaos. Young stopped as he heard a noise amongst the yells and the blaze of the flame's as he turned to see one of the door's blocked by debris. A voice coming from the other side.

Young approached the door as he yelled out to the voice on the other side. "Back away from the door a minute, I'm going to knock it down." He called out, giving the voice a moment to back off as Young repeated the process from earlier as this time the door flew into a window, shattering it. Young frowned at first, but then smirked, as the shattered window was a way out. He turned to the side, grabbing the owner of the voice, a small girl almost half his size, as he then ran to the window and jumped, the young girl screaming lightly on the way down, as Young landed, his leg's absorbing the impact as he set the girl down, pointing her in the direction of a small group that had managed to get outside. He then turned, launching back up into the fire covered mansion, and back into the heat.

Young emerged into the hallway once again, frowning. If he kept knocking down door's like that though, it would damage the initial structure and help bring the mansion down faster. He ran over to one of the second story grand window's and the idea struck him again. He pulled off his pajama shirt and wrapped it around his leg as he then spun, slamming his leg into the glass. It shattered easily, shard's falling everywhere. Young then removed the now glass riddled, and slightly blood-stained, shirt, and tossed it out of the way. The shirt had protected his leg from any major damage the glass would have given, though he did get a few small cut's. He then turned, calling over a few kid's as he told them to hold on to him. Then, carrying two or three at a time, he jumped out once again, landing as his leg's once again absorbed the impact of the second story jump, pain racking up his right leg through the cut's he received, but he ignored it, as he then began to repeat the process. Young wouldn't be able to do much about suppressing the flame's, but from this point, he'd at least be able to carry student's down from the second story into safety.

[well, I'd post with my other's, but I gotta go for now...and on a side note...>.>...wooooh, Young isn't wearing a shirt anymore xp ...and I wonder why he's dreaming such strange dreams...*Looks at Young strangely* rofl ]

[Edit 1: Ayato's post added.]

Another group of kid's huddled behind a boy as he was trying desperately to put out the flame's with short bursts of Ice, one girl clinging fairly tightly to him with her eye's closed. From the looks of it, the boy wasn't having as much luck as he'd hoped, as he had been leading the group out and holding back necessary flame's when needed, but he had drained most of his energy in doing so along the way, and now it became increasingly hard to cool the flame's before they began to overtake his ice blasts.

He was in the middle of struggling with a wall of flame's in front of them when a door to their right burst open, flame's spewing out threateningly at them. One in the group screamed, as they all awaited the upcoming pain that would sear through their flesh as they burned. The pain didn't come though. They opened their eye's and their stood a man, his right arm smoking lightly, but it didn't look at all burned. The man turned to the student's lightly, and most of them recognized him as being Ayato, the art teacher. "Come along, this way now!" He called over the flame's as he moved to the wall of fire the Ice boy had been trying to put out.

He thrust his right arm into the flame's without any yelp of pain that was expected of one who thrust a bare arm into fire, and instead the fire seemed to flicker and concentrate on the man's arm, as if drawn to it strangely. Once the flame's disappeared entirely, Ayato turned to the group smiling lightly, his arm once again smoking lightly, this time a bit more red then it had been earlier. "Come along now, quickly before the way becomes blocked again." He said as he then began to calmly lead the group through the burning mansion.

A wall next to Ayato bursts down and a slaming Cougar steps through. He shakes sweat from his brown locks before patting down his left arm, killing the flames. He grunts a low grunt and looks over at the group behind Ayato. Even as he stands there, his burns are visibly healing. After a second of standing there, looking at the group, he turns without warning and with a roar, he busts through the wall across from his entrance, revealing the outside area, the yard. He looks back at the group.
"Go!"
Then he takes off running through the flames again, trying to get kids out.

Hayden tossed uncomfortably in her sleep. Sweat quickly covered her sleeping form, causing her pajamas to stick to her body. Finally the heat woke the girl. "Why is it so hot.." She muttered as she glanced around the room through blurry eyes. Hayden then rolled out of bed and stumbled toward the door, wiping the sleep from her eyes on the way.

The sound of panicked screams and cracking wood disbursed all of the grogginess that had hung around her. Hayden grabbed the doorknob and quickly pulled open the door. Flames rapidly invaded her room, licking at her body. Pieces of her mildly tan skin melted from her body as the fire engulfed her, revealing a dark substance underneath. Her new skin stung painfully from the high amount of heat emitted from the fire although no burns appeared. She didn’t bother with trying to save her clothes; it honestly didn’t matter at the moment. The new layer of skin concealed all pieces of her anatomy that would have been embarrassingly revealed.

Hayden rushed into the hallway and quickly glanced in both directions. Flesh continued to be melted away from her body as she ran through the hallway searching for anyone who might still be trapped inside. A small whimper caught her ears and Hayden skidded to a stop. A young girl sat curled into a ball at the end of the hallway. The sight of Hayden made her scream with fright. “Shhh… close your eyes. That’s it sweetie.” She soothed, scooping the child up into her arms. At first the child fought against her and honestly Hayden couldn’t blame her. She was sure that she looked like a monster with flesh hanging from her body.

Hayden felt her own panic rise as the flames grew. Her mutation would prevent her from being severely injured but she could do little more than use her own body as a shield for the child. She could no longer dash through the flames as she had been doing, there was too much of a risk that the girl would get burned. But if something didn’t change soon it would be a risk she would have to take; getting burned, as unappealing as it was, would be better than dying. A fuzzy form appeared in front of the pair but Hayden couldn’t exactly make out who it was through the fire. “Hey!!” She yelled, “There’s a little girl over here!” She prayed the person would hear and be able to help get the child out of the building.

The figure in front of them vanishes. Then, without warning, Hayden and the other girl are scooped up and nearly flying down the hallway towards a window. A strong blast of flaming wind flies out and shatters the window. The next thing they know, they're flying through the air. If Hayden were to look up, she'd see the familiar visage of the blonde young man with blood red eyes known as Bastian, clad in black pants, and nothing more than his red jacket.

Hayden gasp and pulled the young girl closer to her chest as both were swept up and carried from the burning building. She glanced up at the one who had hold of them. "Bastian." She said softly, her voice cracking from the soreness of her throat. The young girl whimpered and Hayden kissed her lightly on the forehead. "You're alright sweetie." She soothed. In spite of her carefree and flirty attitude Hayden could be very reassuring when she needed to be. She turned her attention to the ground and the small groups of students who were gathered outside. She saw a few other students who kept going in and out of the building, using their mutations to save the others. "I can help them." She croaked, looking back up at Bastian.

The three touch down ever so gently, and Bastian lets go of the two girls.
"I'm not gonna tell you not to go back in. That's a choice for you alone to make. I will, however, advise against it...this is no ordinary fire...It seems...familliar...But whatever you do..."
He takes off his jacket and drapes it around the shivering little girl, unsure if she's cold or just scared. He then turns his back to the two and looks into the burning house. In a flash, his body explodes into flames. He turns a bit, glowing red eyes looking back at Hayden. His body is no longer there, just an entity of pure flame.
"Be careful."
And with that, the flame being that was at once Bastian runs and jumps back into the burning building.

Hayden smoothed the girls hair and looked at Bastian. There was no way she would simply stand outside an watch as others risked their lives. She escorted the young child to one of the nearby groups of students. "Take care of her." She told the oldest among them then turned and ran back inside the burning mansion. "Be careful yourself, Bastian." She muttered. Hayden bounded up the stairs, ignoring the growing pain that crawled across her skin.

Kyaka was standing outside his room, hands spread wide and tense, eyes closed despite the blazing fires. He didn't have time to look through his sketch book for something, or to sketch something ont he spot, so instead he fell back onto his training and felt through the worlds for something that had the use of water at its diposal. Three things apeared before him. One was a steel woven blanket to protect himself against the fires, light and unrestricting he threw that over himself, but didn't strap it on because he intended to use it and the other two for the people he'd find along the way.
The next thing was a red dog, clad in scales instead of fur, and already a blazin ghot temperature it would be able to move through these fires with ease, locating those trapped within their rooms. Her name was Fira.
The last was a slender snake of a rich blue coloration and a white underside, that seemed half asleep where it lay. Roval. An ice snake, but that would give it a bit more time, and in the intensity of this heat, water would probably evaporate before it could do anything.
Kyaka's eyes flew open as Fira immediately started down the halls to search out any one and every one. Kyaka was recalling ver vividly a certain simulation that had been much similar to this, his features growing cold and emotionless as he continued on, detatching his emotions from his actions with ease.

Breha spotted Cougar and chuckled a bit as he lit a cigaret and put it to his lips within the fire, his calm eyes surveying the fire and more importantly, its smoke. First things first, he'd take care of the intilation that way no body would be dieing from inhaling too much smoke, and there wouldn't be any smoke damage to the building.
He sighed, inhaling deeply on the cigaret, and as he did, the smoke of the fires suddenly began to descend and circle around him as he took on the mass, and added it to his form.

Sakura had pulled on Hiro's arm as she led him out of her room. The hallway had been cleared from Hiro's earlier attacks; however, Sakura knew well enough that if they stayed any longer, the way would be engulfed by the hungering flames once more. Before that happened, she they had to escape. Quickly running to Kira's door, her tiny fists slammed hard onto the wooden door. "Kira! Are you there?!"

Hiro, more worried about Sakura then himself, had stood behind her, watching the flames. He would not allow them to get any closer to Sakura while she was unprepared. "It may be best to find some water to put out these flames. Not to degrade myself in any way, but wind in this type of situation can only push the flames back. With so many flamable materials around us, it would only help to spread the fire, rather than contain it."

Sakura nodded in understanding, her wrist slightly agitated from how hard she slammed it into the door. "Are there any vases with water or buckets? I can at least move the object over the fire and pour any of the water onto it. I know it's a temperary fix, but it will help in getting the others out." She glanced around quickly, her left hand covering her mouth to protect herslef from the smoke. It did little to help however since she had not protected herself from the beginning, and now she had began to cough. "... Kira! Open up if you're in!"

Hiro, now alarmed with Sakura's coughing grew somewhat anxious as he frantically searched for something that might help. Remain calm... it's just a little coughing... Wait! I know. Holding one finger up, he began moving it around in front of him as if drawing some symbol. Shortly after, a breeze began to pick up, swirling around the two and quickly become stronger. The smoke around the two shuddered back as a force field of air now surrounded them. "This should do for now."
PostPosted: Wed May 02, 2007 10:08 pm

Without warning, the door behind the two opens and they are pulled inside quickly. Before they know it, they are going backwards out the window of Kira's room, Kira's left hand holding the back of Hiro's shirt, his right arm wrapped around Sakura's waist. As they touch ground, Kira gently puts Sakura down and helps Hiro gain his footing.
"Are you two okay?"
Looking up will reveal a shaggy bedhead and only a pair of black jeans on Kira-he had been sleeping in his jeans from the day before.

Sakura's eyes slightly widened as she felt something wrap around her and pull her, along with Hiro through the door she had moments ago been banging on. The site of the flames dancing before her very eyes quickly disappeared from her sight and was instead replaced with the bricks of the wall outside flying past her. Once the realization dawned on her that they were outside and no longer had to rely on Hiro's power as her sheild, she began to gasp for air, lightly couging.

Hiro had also been shocked by the sudden pull. He nearly tripped on his feet as he came flying out the window, unsure as to what the hell was going on. One moment he was in charge of watching Sakura's back, and the nextr he was taken down by another's strength. It only took him a few seconds to recognize whom the voice belonged to as he regained his balance. "Kira! I see your alright." Once he was free of the man's grip, he quickly knelt by Sakura's side, gently placing his hand on her back until she had stopped coughing long enough to talk.

"We apologize for waking you so suddenly like that, but I do hope you are liked much more alive rather then dead." Sakura spoke quietly with a smile as she looked up from her sitting position. "I don't think we were quite prepared for your sudden reaction though. Don't you look well?"

"I honestly don't think this is the time to joke. We'll chat more later. We truely do thank you for your help, and yes, we are alright; however, there are still students trapped inside." Hiro's expressionj changed from concern for Sakura to a serious one over the situation at hand.

"We had figured since you were the closest and most experienced, you could help us get them out. Not to mention you probably know where more of the students are then us. We would like to help rescue them to the best of our abilities."
PostPosted: Thu May 03, 2007 6:55 pm

"Actually, this has happened before here...back when I was here before."
He quickly goes over the powers of his friends in his mind, then scans the situation. He sees a figure burst from another window...a man of pure flame? Bastian! His red eyes flicker as he forms a strategy.
"Hey, Bastian!"

Upon hearing his name, the blazing figure goes back to normal, which is just the blonde Bastian in only his fire retardant pants (thank goodness he finally got a pair...>.>).
"What's the plan?"
He eyes Kira and waits for a response...he's known Kira for some time, long enough to know he's probably got some sort of plan or something...

Kira points to the mansion.
"I want you to liquify and get into the sprinkler system, find out why there's nothing flowing and fix it!"

Bastian gives a salute and darts towards the fire, already appearing to liquify.
Kira then turns his attention back to the two with him. He then proceeds to yell over the roar of the flames.
"Hiro! It appears that the fire hasn't spread to any other building or anything! Think you could use the wind to keep it that way?"
He glances at Sakura, not wanting her back in that inferno.
"Sakura! I'd like for you to check on the students outside, make sure they're okay! Can you do that for me?"

Inside, Bastian darts through a hallway, seeing a few students, but resisting the urge to help them get out...if he succeeds, he'll be helping everyone. Finding a sprinkler, he jumps, grabs it, and liquifies. Quickly, the liquid that was once Bastian sucks itself into the system.

Hiro glanced at Bastion intently as he conversed with Kira. Within a short amout of time however, the man left as quickly as he came. Upon hearing his name, he stood straighter and listened quietly to his instructions. "Roger that." Stepping back from Sakura and Kira, Hiro now turned to face the fire. No doubt this would use up more energy then he had hoped. Never-the-less, the fire had to be contained. Taking a deep breath to relax, he began to move both hands about in some sort of sign, similar to earlier, yet at the same time, different. His eyes began a faint glow from the amount of energy and focus that was required and the wind began to pick up immensly, circling around the burning building from the ground on up.

Sakura had remained silent for most the conversation. Once the conversation was over and the orders were given, she nodded and began to ran off in the general direction of the group of children standing outside the building. She could have easily guessed why he gave her a less dangerous task. For one, she was rather young, small, and defensless. Not to mention her gifts would do little to help in the current situation. From anyone's point of view, she was not the best choice when it came to running into a burning building to save people. Therefore when she was given the important task of checking up on the others, she didn't argue the matter. At least there was something she could do, and for that, she was glad.
