How was the world/universe created? Thst is the question man has been asked for generations. Was it God? If it is then how did God come into being? Was it just an accident that just happened out of nothingness or does nothingness not exist?

For this reason and this reason alone, I am a theist. I can't tell you how the god(s) came to be, but I think it's a hell of a lot simpler than the idea of finite matter begetting itself from infinite nothingness.

I think it's a paradoxical question.
When I think of the universe, well... that's everything. That's existence. But there is no starting or ending point with existence, it just is.

So you beleive that nothingness doesn't exist?

The Emerald Tablet states: "That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracles of the One Thing. And just as all things have come from this One Thing through the meditation of One Mind, so do all created things originate from this One Thing, through Transformation."
That pretty much sums up my view on how everything came about. Also, take into consideration that there can be nothing outside of All That Is. If the Universe is everything, all there is, then you cannot look at it from the outside. There can be no outside because everything is contained in the Universe. From this I conclude that everything has always been here.
That's just me though. Forgive me if this resembles more the ramblings of a mad magus than anything worth reading. sweatdrop

Melchior727 rainfall_14 So you beleive that nothingness doesn't exist? What exactly is nothingness? I never understood that concept. Id prefer to say that "Nothing" is a logical fallacy. But for the sake of this discussion. Lets just put it as the absence of "Something" Not really specific. Just like I was stating in my other thread in our chatterbox. Darkness is basically the original element and lacks the present of light. Which basically says its an absence of a common element

The spontaneous creation of a creature capable of creating the entire universe and all life within it is simpler to you than a multiverse theory?

Because if you're already everything then you can do anything? Just because the Universe is expanding doesn't mean it's gaining anything; it's just thinning itself out. I don't claim to know everything, that's just my view on existence.

I took 'every' to be synonymous with 'infinite' and infinity + 1 is the same as infinity, so to be expanding, it must be finite, i.e. not everything.

I believe it was by God. For the world to be created out of nothing sounds crazy. (quote=rainfall14) If it is then how did God come into being?
The Bible states that before the world began, there was nothing, besides God. If so, "nothingness" was partially real. The Bible continues to say that God created the universe in six days, leaving another day aside for rest.

I never really bother with trying to figure out how everything started, because it's all just one big causal chain. If you decide on what caused it to happen, then you just have to deal with what caused the thing that caused the beginning... Infinite regressions suck like that.
I don't think that the big bang theory really works though. The laws of physics state that an object in motion remains in motion and an object not in motion remains not in motion unless acted on by an outside force. So even if matter was condensed into a singularity at some point, you still need a beginning force.
If you take the theist approach, then you have to deal with the "where did God come from" questions. Which, actually you can explain away with some philosophy.
1. Everything is either dependent (relies on something else for it's existence) or self-existing (relies on nothing for it's existence.
2. Not everything can be dependent (something has to have started the causal chain)
3. Therefore, something is self-existing.
This self-existing thing would be God. Since God relies on nothing for his existence, he must have simply always existed.

I think God created the universe. If not, then how did we humans, or animals, or plants, or fruits, or even our plants come from? There must've been a God out there that has given the gift of life to us.

in the multiverse unaverses are next to eachother like //// and when they touch it gives an extraordinary amount of energy that then turns into matter and so on, eventuly all matter will decay to what it was before and eventuly another big bang will happen
