As 200 students, 100 knights, and a handful of masters disembarked from their ships, Verin looked around the temple. He had only been here a couple of times when he was a student. He remembered how nice he used to think the place was. Now he found he didn't care much. He wasn't here to relax. Maybe after the war... But not now. Verin walked over to one of the knights. "I need to speak to the council as soon as possible." As Verin waited for a response, He saw the members of alpha squad walk up to him.

"Commander Verin. What do want us to do." Derik thought it was kind of funny to call someone 5 years younger then you your commanding officer. Then again, Verin has faced sith in combat and survived. I can't say the same. Yet.

Verin was taken aback. Commander. I guess I'm a commander now. "All right. Work on figuring out how we can improve the defenses here. Also, see if you can get any more kuat forces here. We need them." His orders were answered by Yes sirs. I have a feeling this will take some getting use to.

Ja'en listened patiently, feeling less and less enthusiastic by the moment. He remembered his last encounter with the Sith, and it had shaken him to his core. The thought was unsettling to be sure.
"Sounds like a suicide mission,"he said, his voice grave,"So, we go ahead of the advance force? Or, are we it?"

Arin quickly ordered everyone out and towards the middle of the temple. Within a few minutes they were all gathered together. Arin wasn't completely sure why they were all listening to him, but he could only assume it was because he was the only person trying to lead. Arin then remembered the alpha squad and turned to the one called Derik and said, "Your orders were to follow Verin...Now that he has been captured will you follow me?" Without waiting for an answer he quickly turned to the other Jedi and said, "All those strong in sensing the force gather together in another room and attempt to sense Verin's presence. I do not care if you do not know where he is...If he is alive I want to know." Arin then turned to another group this time soldiers and said to one that was a pilot, "The Sith ship had jumped before us, meaning that if it were one jump we can probably track where it was heading. Get into your ships check the navicomps if they tell us anything about where they were heading then we can narrow our search." Arin was getting into the flow of things barking orders as if he had been born to do so. He watched as the pilots ran from him scurrying to do as they were told and so did the Jedi. He just waited to see what Derik's reaction would be to all of this.

Arin nodded his head more determined this time more then ever to lead them. He then turned once again back to Derick who had apparently realized that he couldn't dwell on Verin now. Arin then said to Derick, "If Verin is captured there is always the chance that he could tell the Sith where we are. I want us ready in case this happens. Get your engineers to start building defensible turrets and blockades. If Sith are getting in I want them bottlenecked and easy to take down. I want any demolition people you got creating plenty of booby traps for them. Also get some of your best men with computer skills in the back rooms where there are computer skills. This place is a temple meaning there should be consoles around here that give both security cameras and systems to defenses. I want everything online as soon as possible." Arin then nodded his head to a close by Jedi who was slightly older then him. The man came in close and Arin looked at him then Derik and said, "Take Derik's men to the areas where the main consoles are. Don't question in the least just do it. Also get someone to report to the council of our measures I don't want to do anything they don't want."

Verin, if you are alive, hang in there. He turned to the alphas. "You heard him. Get to work."

((it seems everyone logged off for the night so I am too, also for all those who feel this is godmodding, it is not. I have actually read this done in books that were deemed cannon))

Arin didn't have much time to wait for an answer as one of the pilots he had sent out was running towards him. Arin turned to greet the pilot who had a look of some satisfaction on his face. The pilot first saluted something that Arin wasn't totally used to and said, "Sir, the navicomputer indicates that a vapor trail was left by the shuttle. Since we are not currently in space following the trail we do not know where it went exactly, but we do know that it does lead in the direction to this system and outlying planets." Arin smiled just slightly at the knowledge now that the ship did head off in the direction of the planet they were currently on. He still did not know exactly what planet they were on, but he did know they were close.
