I'm re-reading PoA, and on the train ride to Hogwarts, Remus casts a patronus. Unfortunately, Harry is unconcious at the time, and no one else knew what it was other than a silvery thing that made the Dementors go away. So, what do you all think his patronus is/was/would be?

Mmm......that's a really good question, one I've never thought about sweatdrop
I'm no good at these games' though, my answers are usually way off.
whee I actually wanna say a dog. Remus is a very loyal person, and dogs' are generally very loyal.
And that's about as far as I can go with comparing Remus to an animal ._.

So, I guess a dog or a wolf is what's thought of... I was thinking a fox, or maybe a bird. He'd make a damn cute lyrebird, whether you want to admit it or not. ^>^

I do not agree with wolf. Patranous's are meant to be something the person finds hope in. Why would Remus find hope in something that looks like whate he turns into every month and that tears him apart?
I think the Marauders probabley. Prongs, Padfoot and Wormtail, they were the first people to accept him for who he was and help him.
However Remus is so mysterious it could easily be something else like his parents or something.

even though harry is not awake or unconsius or whatever i cant spell, i think that maybe even though Lupin is a Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, maybe he cant evn produce a corporeal patronus, but if he could, i think it would be like a the opposite of the moon, maybe like the sun or something because his worst fear is the moon and the opposite of that is the sun i dunno whatever

And aren't patronuses normally animals?

actually all he does is tell harry how to do it he never actually does one with harry watching....yah ur right patronuses are animals, lets see maybe like umm yah i guess it would be like a dog or maybe even a stag like harry smile ^_^

Hey, I thought of something new, too. Did Harry ever do a patronus after Snape's Worst Memory in OotP? I was thinking if he lost so much respect for his dad, he might not find comfort in a stag anymore...but I'm not sure, really.
