What has happened at both my own school and now Virginia Tech has opened my eyes to reality, our world isn't safe, as teens we aren't invincible but most of all we alone have the power to stop this from happening again.
In here we will talk about school shootings, guns, and other weapons and how easy it is for us as a teenagers to acquire these deadly weapons.
In this thread we will remember those who have died, not only at Viriginia Tech, but also The Amish school shooting that killed innocents, Columbine where students stood up for themselves. And in all these situations how other students rose to help the wounded and played important roles in the lives of many.

I figured out some news about it. A 20-year old asian man apparantly was the shooter, mad about racial things or something. It's crazy stare

I heard it was because his girlfriend dumped him along with the other racial things. . . But yeh. We held a moment for them this morning in Adv.

It was a 23 year old South Korean, he was a residential alien.
The conflict started in the dorm where he shot and killed his EX-girlfriend apparently she dumped him and another guy not sure if it was a professor.
He then walked around campus pretending to be a normal guy then two hours later walked into the Norris Building which is Engineering lined up the 31 occupants and shot and killed them all before killing himself.
He came to America with his family in 1992 and has lived here since, he was a literature major and an undergrad student living on campus.

Yeh. . . and he planned all of it too. He had the barcodes scratched off of the guns and two clips in his jacket holders. . . Horrible. . .

all I can say is my family that lives there is in shock, that something of these proportions could happen and right after a gun scare at my school...

Its horrible. Everyone is talking about it. I find it horrible that there are videos. . . I couldn't watch something like that. . . Too much human suffering and pain. I don't like to watch things like that. It's bad enough that it happened.

my class is being forced to do a report on it and in it we have to include back to twenty years ago all deadly shootings at schools or colleges...so that is why at the moment I know that much about it...if it was my choice I would never watch the news.

Some people were watching the videos on youtube I think of it yesterday. . . It made me feel horrid. And they tried to argue that they would want to be remembered. . . But I don't think that is HOW they wanted to be remembered. I swear. . . some people have no consideration.

I would say remember them by living. I agree people are idiots, a friend once told me this before he passed away...

So that is what I do, I remember all my loved ones by smiling when something reminds me of them...
YOUTUBE isn't the place for memorials. that is not a good place at all. Maybe a myspace dedicated to it but even that can be trashy...

OH! And this retarded chick p'd me off the other day. She upset a couple of my good friends in class and they told me about it. She is just. . UGH. I hate her. She wasn't to 'get along able' before, but now. . .ugh. . .
She was all "It was to be expected. . .he was asian. All asians do shootings, they are like that." and she kept going on and on and on. It was so horrible. And I have many a sensible asain friends. So that isn't true. And at Collumbine, that was two white guys and a black sniper.
And then she went on to say that it seemed like a couple of my close friends would do a shooting 'cause they are quiet all the time. But it is just that they don't talk to her, 'cause she's annoying. Doesn't mean they don't talk. And they kept picking on one of my nice sensitive friends and she took it to heart and almost cried the next period. I was super pissed. . .

I hate when people do that, cause one of my best friends is Asian and while he is the quietest guy I know he is by far the sweetest, he is literally like my little brother, and after this since he isn't in my classes I wonder what his classmates are doing and how they are treating him.
If it was a guy making fun of your friend kick his butt, if it was a girl then get another girl you know to kick her butt, cause they are just DUMB! I hate people like that with a PASSION, if anyone ever did that to one of my friends then they would see me next in prison on charges of assault and attempted murder.

Yeh, it sucks. 'Cause I have losts of asian friends and supposed quiet friends. But, gah. She superbly pissed me off. I love my friends, especially the ones that were in her class being annoyed. . . I am not explaining myself well, but yeh. It was a girl doing the stupid talking. . .
