If you are aware of 4chan, but not aware of the many fads that have come from it, then I suggest you look no further than the article provided on Encyclopedia Dramatica. For your viewing edutainment...sort of.Educate yourself about 4chan without the disgusting aftertaste!

That's a wonderful link sir, but it has only pictures.
and it is lacking many memes. (Cockmongler, to name one important one)
4chan:
A completely anonymous image board (except with the use of tripcodes, which are gay anyway, so don't worry your fragile minds about these)
Users of 4chan generally post under the name "Anonymous" though if they were to choose another name, it would not matter because there is no sure way to tell who is who (ie: logins, profiles, etc)
The 4chan most people know about is the "random" section of the board, referred to as /b/.
In /b/, users may post whatever images and text they want, with the exception of seriously illegal images such as CP (child porn), which are often posted, but deleted within seconds.
It's a cascade of "colorful" images every time you refresh the page.
In one moment, you may find yourself loling at a cat with some wonderful text printed along the bottom of the picture, cutely describing what actions he is taking, or thoughts he is thinking.
While one roll of the mousewheel might reveal an image that will instantly desensitize you for the rest of your life.
This particular board has absolutely no rules.
Almost everything on the internet starts or ends up at 4chan's /b/.
This is the place where most memes are started.
Search Wikipedia for "meme" if you don't know what that is.
/b/tards (as /b/-users refer to themselves) have a general hatred for all outsiders and other forums or boards. They hate Gaia more than anythin, so watch yourselves. Rules #1 and #2 (which I have broken) clearly state that you are not to speak of 4chan outside of 4chan.
/b/ is truly a wonderful place, but please, keep it away from fags.
