The War That Divides Us All Welcome to this hopefully-original roleplay. Please enjoy your stay here.
Notes: This roleplay is AU, and is meant to be serious.
Plot
War has always been inevitable for any dimension. No matter how peaceful a country seems, it has been rent apart, torn, divided, bloodied with the cruelty that makes up war.
And so it has been with this world. A world that consists of only two races: ninja, and pirates. Forever fighting in death-defying battles because of a bitter vendetta, of competition.
Our tale begins with four young males: Urameshi Yusuke, Kuwabara Kazuma, Kurama, and Hiei. The former two are pirates, the latter two are ninja. Once friends, the war--the Eternity War--has broken their friendship and forced them to become enemies.
As the war spirals on and each boy grows, they will each have to decide their destiny in a world that is falling apart.
This is fate.

Rules
Follow the Gaia ToS.
Keep it PG-13.
Literacy is a must. No chatspeak.
Original characters...are non-existent. (If I see one more Mary-Sue, I will go on an anti-Sue murder spree.)
This roleplay has a semi-serious tone to it. Please post accordingly.
Remain in-character at all times.
Each character retains his or her original fighting abilities. This means that Hiei and Kurama do not have super-cool made-up jutsu, and that Yusuke and Kuwabara do not fight with cutlasses.
New rules can be added at any time.

The main four have larger roles, naturally, while minor characters have smaller parts. You can play either one main character, or up to three minor characters.
The Pirates
All relationships between the pirates remain the same as if they were in canon (ex. Yusuke is Kuwabara's best friend; Yusuke loves Keiko; etc.).

Special Note: Yukina was originally born a ninja, but was kidnapped by the pirates when she was an infant. Therefore, her only memories are of her life with the pirates, and she agrees with the pirates' ways. She does not know about Hiei, and is unaware that she is a ninja. All other pirates are keeping her origin a secret about her.
