I have taken to listening to lots of girl rock and girl soft rock. It has a grip on me.

I'd check out Eisley - they're softer, so probably more pop than rock, but soooo good. I'm in love with the vocals 3nodding

"The Resistance" kinda.. well very punkish but I love them, and the female singer/bassist is ******** insane.
they were playing a show in our tiny local venue (was a cafe at the time) with no stage, someone got knocked from the mosh pit into the mic and the mic came back and smashed into her nose... she didn't miss a beat or stop singing, just stood there broken nosed, bleeding and screaming like mad
damn it was sexy twisted

Ohh ohh...speaking of local, check out Schoolyard Heroes. It's a local loud screamy rock band with an amazing female vocalist who puts operatic phrasing into her songs sometimes...

All Girl Summer Fun Band is awesome. they're more quiet and are really great to listen to in the summer. hence the name.
