A friend of mine is the owner of R.E.I.N.S - an equine rescue, rescuing horses throughout Canada and the U.S

THESE TWO HORSES NOW HAVE CARING AND LOVING HOMES!! smile

R.E.I.N.S was able to get these two horses bathed, feet trimmed, shots and worming and ready for their new home. And just recently, they were trailered off to their new homes and are quite happy.

Details and pictures here -

R.E.I.N.S is looking for a home for these two wounderful horses - They are FREE to a loving and caring home. A donation to the association would be greatly appreciated however not required.

These horses would be absolutly beautiful with some love and care and food.

These horses are both 20 years old, they would make great companions or trail horses. The owner is an elderly man and ill. He has had both horses all thier lives. A person has been comning to feed them twice a week (hay) and as you can see, they require more then 2 feedings a week.

They are located in Nelson, British Columbia.

And now - To meet the horses...

First we have a 15.2hh gelding. He is a sweety. He loves to be "in your face" and lovessss to be scratched. He is underweight and his feet are not great and he is wormy. With a good bath and trimmed feet and some groceries he would be so lovely. He has been riden on trails, mountains and trailered everywhere. He is calm and loves to talk!!!

Now, we have a 14.315 hand stallion. He is quiet, and has been shown, ridden by all ages. He has been trailered everywhere and ridden throught the mountains and can be ridden with a halter. He was nervous however would come to the fence to smell our hands and stand there next to us. He is stunning even in his condition. Imagine this boy cleaned up ??????

I know how you both feel, I would love to take them both in... this is when I really hate not having my own property. I can't afford to board more then one horse.

If you can spread the word to help find these guys a home it'd be great wink

I think once they got some weight on and developed some muscle, they could be ridden, probably nothing intense because of their age and what they've been through but I can see them enjoying the trails or something smile
