I love Bjork, yes its true. But she only has so much music. Can y'all reccomend some bands or solo artists?
Its hard to get music from the same genre because nobody really knows what Bjork's genre is...
What is her Genre? Who sings like her? Reccomendations?
Vote in that Poll People! Just vote for who you like aswell. Now.

Google tells me that Cat Power, Regina Spektor, Kay Cee andJoanna Newstrom are Björk-like.
In fact, a search for "sound like Björk" yields a lot of results. Interesting.

Theophrastus Google tells me that Cat Power, Regina Spektor, Kay Cee andJoanna Newstrom are Björk-like. In fact, a search for "sound like Björk" yields a lot of results. Interesting. I don't think any of them really sound like bjork. :-/ I would say siouxsie and the banshees can be sometimes but that's a stretch too. Portishead isn't bjprk-like really but you might like them. It's hard to compare her to anyone. I suppose Joanna Newsom's singing is a little similar.

I love love Protishead, and the Cranberries,
I guess asking for people like Bjork is a bit of a hard question... And Reccomendations don't have to be similar to Bjork.
Because defining Bjrok's genre is like getting in a fight with the ground. YOu Can't win!
But You know Duran Duran is a cool Band... I reccomend them.

Well, I hope nobody slaps me for this, but I was in a music store the other day and they were playing CocoRosie and I had to ask the guy behind the counter to tell me it wasn't Björk.

Rigor Mortis sigur ros, is very good and bjork-like, considering they are also from iceland, they're sounds are like vespertine from bjork, make me calm down. Bjork is my Favorite but if you listen to her 24/7 you probably have seizures and scream at the top of your lungs before to long. ^__^;; The first time I heared Selmasongs I didn't realize it was Bjork until mis sister told me it was. That was when I reallly started liking Bjork.

Ahh the answer is so simple! Regina Spektor.
Some other Björkish artists I would suggest: Fiona Apple and Tori Amos (I think you mentioned her).

Mmmm, PORTISHEAD <3 How could I forget ... I remember first hearing them when I was 13. They went with my dark, depressive teen years. Hehe. I still love 'em. The music is so melodic and beautiful at times.
OH OH and MASSIVE ATTACK <3333 So good. Must listen. Always.

Yoko Kanno is pretty rad, though it's hard for me to see a similarity to Björk.
