All from the Bulbagarden forum thread titled "One thread to Rule them ALL!"

Quote:
From Sunain of Bulbagarden:
Well the amount of rumours and speculation surrounding the rating of series has reached an all time low. After a hijack of a thread, I decided to investigate this ratings fiasco a bit deeper. I spent a WHOLE 15 minutes looking at these ratings and quickly made a graph in Excal to visualize what I already had assumed.

AG briefly increased Pocket Monsters ratings, but were not even close to the original series ratings (Orange and Johto). I did not include Indigo ratings in the chart as they were significantly higher then all the series to date. What the graph does show is a pattern of slow decline in the ratings in Orange/Johto and AG which is almost identical. The only difference is that Orange/Johto has a average rating 3 points higher then AG.

Misty fans rejoice, May/Max infact had NO impact on the ratings. Fact: Misty's ratings were higher then May's ratings.

AG had an average rating of: 7.061052632

All ratings can be verified by visiting Pokeani's website: where they track the weekly ratings.

Wow. That's really strange. What happened with Advance Generation episode 100 or so? The one where the rating dropped to 0.

Well, I poked around and episode guide and that was actualy the only episode of Pokemon that was never shown in Japan because in the episode Pokemon were producing earthquakes, and at the time many earthquakes were hitting Japan so they decided it would be in bad taste.

Because it never aired in Japan, it would explain why is was a zero rating, otherwise it would be on the same level as all of the other episodes

Okay, that does make sense. I was thinking that it might've been just a really horrible episode or something.

Like I've said before, I think it has a bit more to do with over half the freaking fad-fanbase growing out of Pokemon and trying to have newer kids enter the fandom rather then just the main female character.
