Anxiety
Hm mm mm.
Hmm, hmm, hmm mm mm, mm mmm...
I feel like I wanna smack somebody,
Turn around and b***h slap somebody,
But I ain't goin' out, bro,
NO NO NOO!
I ain't goin down bro,
NO NO NOO!
Anxiety's bashin' my mind and
terrorizin' my soul like
Bin Laden.
But I ain't fallin' down, bro,
NO NO NOO!
I won't loose control, bro,
NO NO NO! CRASH!
“Ash, that's enough!”
BLAM!
“There's glass every where!”
POW!
“The vase-!”
The screams of the panicked ceased as the dark-haired boy stopped chucking everything in sight. He was breathing heavily, and there was
blood seeping down various
cuts on his fists. His mother, his two friends, and his trusted Pokemon stood by, getting closer, ready to grab him as soon as they could get close enough.
But he didn't move.
Not anymore.
The six around him glanced at each other, confused. It had been minutes ago that Ash had started acting so outraged. He had demolished most of the breakable valuables in the kitchen and the living room of his mother's house, except for one.
The one he was staring at now.
There was a crash, and everyone flinched. Ash had flung the picture down, and it had landed with a sickening crack at his feet. He stared at, eyes wide. His foot came down on it once. But only once. He removed it, and stared down at the photo. The figures were oddly familiar to everyone else.
Max figured out who they were.
Ash fell to his knees, unaware of everything around him, only that picture. His fingers reached out and brushed the broken glass,
cutting the flesh on his finger tips to
ribbons. A
tear ran down his cheek.
Shackled and chained,
my soul feels stained.
I can't explain,
What's gotten into my brain.
Lately my whole aim is to maintain
and regain control of
my mainframe.
My blood's boiling,
It's beating out propane.
My train of thought's more like
a runaway train.
I'm in a fast car,
driving in the fast lane,
in the rain,
and I might just hydroplane. Vaguely, the fourteen-year-old was aware of those around him placing their arms around them. Ash did nothing. He gazed at the photo, transfixed.
'That's Gary...and me...' His fingers left trails of
blood on the face of his rival.
What used to be his rival.
Tears spilled over his eyes in anger.
This time, he would control himself.
...Or would he?
I-I-I don't fear none of my enemies,
and I don't fear bullets from Uzis.
I've been dealing with much worse then these,
enough to make you fall to your knees and that's
The Anxiety,
Sane and the Insane Rivalry,
Damn near almost brought me to my knees...
Lord, Please Please, PLEASE,
Take away my anxiety. 'He's a b*****d.' The brown-eyed boy's grip on the picture tightened, breaking the glass even further and jamming
shards into his hands and fingers. His eyes shone with
tears of rage.
On the outside, he was angry.
On the inside, however, he was
crying.
'Why do you hold him like that?...' A
tear fell onto Gary's face in the picture.
'...When I told you I loved you first?'
My head keeps runnin' away,
ma brotha,
the only thing makin' me stay,
ma brotha,
but I won't give into, bro.
NO NO NOO!
Gotta get myself back, now.
Gotta gettem and my ma keep tellin,
My enemy is my own,
I gots to find my in self,
Grasp ahold of my thoughts,
I can't give up.
NO NO NOO!
I can't give into it now!
NO NO NO! Ash felt his mother run her hands through his hair.
“Darling, what's the matter? What's making you act like this? This isn't like you at all...”
Ash answered none of her questions. He had too many of his own.
'He doesn't do anything for you.' A piece of
glass burst through the back of Ash's hand, but he felt no
pain.
'I cared for you. Me. You met him a couple weeks ago.' Someone tried to
rip the frame from his hands, but he only tightened his hold.
'Richie isn't anything special. I am.' He
sniffled.
'But maybe I wasn't ever good enough for you...'Emotions are trapped all inside my brain,
Start going through emotions;
Only I know whas up.
I'm filled up with pain tryin' to gain my
insanity.
Everywhere I turn,
There's a dead end
in front of me.
Got no where to go,
gotta shake this
anxiety,
Got me feeling strange.
Paranoia took over me.
And it's weighing me down,
and I can't run any longer with my
knees to the ground. Before Ash knew what was going on, he was strapped down to a stretcher, in the back of an ambulance. The picture frame was still clutched in his hands, the
glass still
digging into his skin and muscle.
Tears leaked from his eyes.
'But that wasn't even the worst.' A mask was placed over his face, and he started to get dizzy.
'...You made me think...that you loved me back...'I-I-I don't fear none of my enemies,
and I don't fear bullets from Uzis.
I've been dealing with much worse then these,
enough to make you fall to your knees and that's
The Anxiety,
Sane and the Insane Rivalry,
Damn near almost brought me to my knees...
Lord, Please Please, PLEASE,
Take away my anxiety.
Sane and the Insane Rivalry,
Damn near almost brought me to my knees...
Lord, Please Please, PLEASE,
Take away my anxiety. When Ash awoke, there was a white blur around him. Blinking, a hospital room came into focus. Moon light steamed though the windows on his right, and the lights cut out, leaving blissful darkness around him. He turned, seeing the photo sitting on the table beside him.
Along with someone else.
Ash's fists curled up tight, breaking open the
stitches that had placed there. His
blood dripped to the floor, the steady noise waking both Gary and Richie, who had his head on Gary's chest. The two smiled, looking relieved, before their eyes adjusted to the darkness and found Ash's
murderous face staring at them.
“Glad to see...that you're okay...” Gary muttered, a hint of a smile on his face. Ash said nothing.
“When your mom told us you were in the hospital, we rushed over.” Richie added, clutching the fabric of Gary's black tee shirt. Again, Ash didn't say a word.
Gary swallowed. “What's wrong with you?”
Hm, mm, mm...
Hm mm, mm mm...
Mmm mm mm, Hmm mm mm-mmm...
Hm mm mm.
Hmm, hmm, hmm mm mm, mm mmm... Ash ignored the screams. Ash ignored the
blood. Ash ignored the frantic hands
clawing at him.
As he plunged out of the window and to the ground, below.
Gary stared, shocked, as he watched Ash run to the window and punch out the
glass.
Blood burst from his tanned skin, and, when that deed was done, Ash backed up a few steps.
Gary and Richie both screamed and ran to grab the boy, but all the managed was to grab and rip off his jean cuffs. Horrified, the two gazed as their friend
hit the ground.
Six stories below.
I-I-I don't fear none of my enemies,
and I don't fear bullets from Uzis.
I've been dealing with much worse then these,
enough to make you fall to your knees and that's
The Anxiety,
Sane and the Insane Rivalry,
Damn near almost brought me to my knees...
Lord, Please Please, PLEASE,
Take away my anxiety.
Sane and the Insane Rivalry,
Damn near almost brought me to my knees...
Lord, Please Please, PLEASE,
Take away my anxiety...The price of telling a lie that you love someone you don't is overall despair and death by broken heart...
