Nightfall.

It was one of his favoured times of the day, where the sun sunk below the horizon casting the stretching skies into a beautiful array of pinks, oranges and reds. Fire hued orbs fixated on sight as he sat amongst the tall grass of the savanna, the faint westbound breeze waving the sandy tendrils as they took on the appeal of a sea. It was beautiful, this serenity. Yet soon the skies would fade into an abyss of darkness, etched with diamond like stars cascading across the black canvas only dully alit by the moon. Like the sunset, night was another of his treaured times, it amazed him to no end how much beauty there was in nature, and in life as a whole.

The colours slowly faded with each passing moment as the large lion heaved his body up onto his paws and promptly shook out his mane. Never did he stay in a singular spot for too long for his body just wouldn't allow it such; wandering was in his blood. How else would he know the beauties which were hiding away, just waiting to be found?

Padding through the grass as his ivory fur seemed to soak up the colours radiating from the skies above, he headed towards the small stream trickling slowly. Pausing once her reached the stream's edge, Qiovi dipped his head down to lap at the cool water while his tail flicked side to side in a pleasant mannor.

A calm breeze floated gently over the grassy savanna, birds flittered happily as they made their way home for the night, and a soft golden glow lit up the sky and the world around it. Everything was at peace, it seemed. Nothing to worry over – instead, just the thought of being able to witness such a gorgeous spectacle could very well put one’s troubled mind at ease. The rich glow of the setting sun moved the entire savanna’s hues into an entire new spectrum of tones, but even though everything was turning grey for the night, the uniqueness of color was brilliant. Such was the beauty of the night that was to follow it. The magnificent blanket of stars would take over the sky, leaving no light except for the soft glow of the moon above. Such tranquility - such mystique! It was another perfect day.

Meanwhile, a lone cheetah crouched anxiously in the tall grass, stalking a wild rabbit, and carefully plotting her course of action. The young adult stayed perfectly still as she watched her prey cautiously search the ground for food of its own. Her grey-brown coat, covered in richer, darker golden brown spots, seemed to glow in the evening light – an effect supposedly perfect for hunting in the tall grasses. Of course, she was the exception to this gift of camouflage - she was somewhat thin for her age, obviously pointing out how much of a greenhorn she was at hunting. It was a big risk for those on the savanna, especially where predators like her were concerned. Her solid brown tipped tail twitched ever so slightly as her attempt to stay focused was disrupted by a low growl in her stomach. Dazzling saffron orbs glanced up nervously at the setting sun. Soon there would be no light, meaning that she wouldn’t be able to see very well. Not only that, but all the animals were probably getting ready to go to sleep for the night… and that meant no dinner. Again.

Chieng closed her sun-like eyes for a moment, letting out a sigh. This was fine, if all else failed; she would try again in the morning. No problem. She opened her eyes, trying to get back on focus. Sadly, for that short moment, the rabbit had noticed a strange indentation in the grass and took off. “Eh?!” the female gasped as her dinner took off through the grass, “Ah! No!” The cheetah leapt after it, not wanting to let it get away so easily. She dashed after it, following it until it jumped through a place where the grass was growing thicker than it usually did on the plains.

Without thinking, she jumped in after it – only to topple klutzily, head first into a rather small stream. The young adult winced, having had flipped over onto her back from the sudden drop in elevation. Not wasting another moment, she rolled back over onto her feet and jumped back onto the bank. “Waahh…” she frowned helplessly at her own mistake, taking another second to notice how completely soaked she was – this discovery triggered another “Waah” to escape from her maw as she hastily attempted to shake herself off.

“It’s alright, you don’t have to worry about this! There’ll be another chance!” she said out loud to herself – it was her attempt at cheering herself up after such blunders. “You didn’t know there was a stream there, so that’s okay, you know for next time. You just have to pay attention to what’s around you. Never let anything surprise you, you’re better than that!” she finished her rapidly paced pep talk with a smile and a nod. Chieng suddenly blinked, noticing something strange out of the corner of her eye.

Saffron orbs grew wide in horror as she turned her head, now being able to see the full grown lion standing no more than a few feet away from her. “Eh?!” she squeaked, tripping on her own hind legs as she reared back and into the tall grass. “Umph…” she moaned to herself, marking the second time she had been on her back in less than a minute. Maybe he didn’t see her. Yeah… Let’s go with that.

"How...beautiful"

A lazy, lopsided smile spread over the Lion's maw as ruby orbs fluttered across the water's surface; a few drops of water dripping from his chin. It almost looked like he was drinking from a fallen rainbow, yet he knew in a short while the savanna would plunge into a moonlit darkness. Purring faintly as he observed how the streams current parted at his massive paws, able to feel the gentle flowing of his fur under the cool surface. If he were in a pride, he would miss such simple splendors which others merely let pass.

Qiovi had once been in a pride, a quite large one full of traditions and ancient code. The Desert Pride was a sucessful one, the deserts were beautiful in their own desolate way...yet he couldn't have lived with staying there for the rest of his life. Seeing the same lions day by day, doing that same things...living such a trivial life. Why should he take a mate for the good of the pack, to have her wait on his paws like he was her superior? No, he was quite against how the males in the prides had the females hunt for them; even if they had the more lithe bodies for better agility and speed in the chase. Qiovi had been getting along fine catching his own means, given not all the time he was able to successfully bring down a gazelle by himself - but hares and other smaller animals usually did just fine untill he did. Speaking of which he probably should have gotten back to his erlier kill, yet it was nicely hidden so he could afford a few more moments quenching his thirst before getting back.

Raising his head slowly as it turned back to the grass on the incline above him, his ears tilted forewards to hear the dull thuds of running on the dry terra. Lifting a brow, he blinked when the rabbit tore across the stream and into the brush on the other side....yet its predator wasn't as fortunate. With a blur and a loud crash of shifting rocks, the ivory lion closed his eyes as the water splashed up onto his face and body from such a close range. Opening them slowly as the female drifted into his sights...she didn't seem to notice him in the slighest as she once against shaked; sending water back onto his dripping pelt. Dipping his head to look at himself before back up to the Cheetah as she promptly began to give herself a pep talk on the loss of the rabbit; it took all he could to hold back the chuckle trying to escape from his maw.

The cat was out of the bag, or at least the lion when the young female turned her head so ruby could meet sunkissed orbs...something stirred in Qiovi's body...usually he supposed he should have been a bit more territorial and assertive that she shouldn't have stumbled in upon him, yet it was nearly impossible for him to be so...rude. Watching her silently as the poor girl tumbled back into the grass in means of escape, the smile which spread over his lips was accompanied by a small chuckle of amusement. Flicking his tail lightly, he walked slowly up beside her yet kept a swipes distance from her...not really wanting her to have a heart attack of something along those lines.

"Don't worry, Miss. I'm not going to hurt you...so you can relax and gain some of your composure back; okay?"

Lush and smooth vocals purred out, a pleasant look relaxing over his features. However, he did managed to sneak a look of her, and found her to be quite stunning - for a cheetah. With a base layer of almost a mocha hue, underbelly of cream and of course those dazzling brown spots which cheetah's were infamous for....he couldn't help but admire her secretly. Perhaps if he was a cheetah...no. No, right now he needed not to be a letcher but someone who this female could trust enough that he couldn't get a clawed face. Shifting to catch her rather mesmerising eyes, they reminded him of the sunkissed water on a sunny day; pools alit with a glittering golden hue.

Under the cover of the tall grass, the cheetah crouched low to the ground, water still dripping off her pelt. He saw her, didn’t he? Chieng cringed at her misfortune and carelessness. If she had only been paying more attention to what was going on, she wouldn’t be in this situation. “Shh,” she hissed at her growling stomach, not wanting to give her position away any more than she already had. Although… It probably wasn’t very hard to find her. If he really wanted to, he could just sniff her out – and the indentation in the tall grass probably gave her away more than anything. The young female let out a sigh of defeat, trying to remember what she was supposed to do in this kind of predicament.

Maybe she should just turn on heel and run as fast as she possibly could? Unfortunately for her, running wasn’t much of an option she had at the moment. She winced lightly at pang of pain in her right, hind leg. Adrenaline had been masking the injury from before, but now that she was completely still, she couldn’t help but notice it. She rolled her eyes at the thought of her mother scolding her for being so careless. It was probably from the fall into the stream -

The padded steps of the lion heading towards her suddenly interrupted her ponderings. Her whole body seemed to tense up as he got closer to her than ever. The cheetah held her breath, not knowing what else she could do. She quickly glanced around, trying to figure out what her best path for escape was if she really did have to run for it. Maybe her leg wasn’t as bad as it felt. Maybe she was just sitting on it wrong. She probably just stepped on a rock and needed a few minutes to recover. At least that’s what she hoped. If it really was bad, then that meant trouble for her – she had enough trouble hunting already.

Before she knew it, the huge feline was practically above her. More panic swept over her, making it impossible for her to move, even if she wanted to. Instead, she stared wide-eyed up at the lion. Her heartbeat seemed to flutter for a moment, but she just assumed it was from fear and panic. But… He didn’t seem as though he wanted to hurt her. She blinked up at him, a bit stunned by his appearance. His mane was a beautiful sandy brown and he had the whitest coat she had ever seen. It was so clean and soft looking, yet it seemed to reflect all the colors around, making it appear as though a second sunset was taking place on the lion’s back. But the most stunning of all were his eyes. Their blood red glow was breathtaking. So mysterious and deep – Chieng felt her face flush as she realized she was staring, quickly dropping her gaze to the ground. She couldn’t help but feel embarrassed that a lion as majestic as he had to see a cheetah as common as her.

He then spoke to her, telling her not to worry and that he wasn’t going to hurt her. His voice was so soothing and melodic, it was as if listening to a song. Upon hearing his reassurance, she had raised her head a bit, “You won’t?” she blinked, sounding relieved. Maybe he really was okay. He certainly seems okay.

No, that was wrong – the voice of her mother suddenly popped into her head, scolding her trusting behavior. There was no way he, a lion, meant something as kind as that. He would just want her to reveal herself, and then she would be attacked and killed. She should never trust anything that wasn’t cheetah. A gasp of breath caught in the back of her throat as she suddenly let out a hiss, pinning her ears flat against her head. “S-stay away,” she stuttered, still unsure of herself. Even if he was a lion, he didn’t seem as though he wanted to cause her harm, but she knew that she was usually wrong about things.

She was always doing this to herself – getting into situations that seemed hopeless, but she knew it was her own fault. It was her choice to leave on her own and now she would have to face the consequences. Maybe if he were going to kill her, he would be merciful and do it fast. She was never one to enjoy pain. Unable to get herself to run away, the young female closed her eyes, waiting for the worst – what her mother always told her would happen if she came face to face with a lion. There was no use in begging, she had been told, because lions were savage beasts that only thought of themselves.

Slightly taken aback by the look of near terror in such beautiful eyes made his heart sink slightly. He did realize that as a Lion he was known as the top of the food chain when it came to the rest of the creatures living around here. However, Qiovi never would imagine hurting one of his fellow felines unless they were the first to attack; even then it felt wrong to be in such a violent situation. Shaking his great mane out lightly, he put on a pleasant smile and dipped his head lightly with a chuckle at her unsure words drifting off his melodious vocals.

"Of course not. We may be different, but you've done nothing to merit being hurt. Senseless violence I find is quite a saddening thought when it gives a whole species a bad name from the actions of some of us." Sighing lightly as he tilted his head, an almost comical expression wrote on his lips, it was true none the less and there was nothing he could do about it.

Taking a small step back as her hiss became audiable, he wondered what was getting her so upset; surely he wasn't coming off as threatening? Tilting his own ears back as his head lowered ever so slightly, he could only watch as she seemed to close her eyes and wait for the inevitable that he would be ending her life at this moment. Nearly doubling over in absolute shock that she would even think that! He almost hated hunting if it wasn't for that he had to in order to survive, yet the look of hopelessness in his prey's eyes before their life was ended almost made him wonder if he had just wreaked some baby's life, or a mate of the prey. The world was cruel, there was no use in denying. Qiovi wasn't going to be one who made it worse off, though.

Something else stole his attention as he sniffed the air lightly as something seemed to change from when she had first ran into him. Glancing to the sides, and behind him, his mind and attention wandered to the cowering Cheetah before him. Looking and noticing how she held her one paw, he realized she was hurt...which was why she probably hadn't run away by now since he definately wouldn't be able to catch her that way. So thats why she's so defensive....it probably doesn't help that I'm here and she can't do a thing. Without thinking, he moved closer to lick the small droplets of blood from her paw figuring that she must landed on it as it slipped and scratched on the rocks of the stream.

"You're hurt. You should have said something..."

Thinking for a moment, he wasn't an expert on wounds yet he did distinctly remember that whenever he got hurt his mother took him to water to let it soak and get all the dirt out. Which...seemed to be a good idea since she had stumbled away so fast. Shifting his eyes back to her's, he gave a short lived sigh and crouched down beside her. "I don't care if you want to leave...but you wont be able to move unless you get your paw feeling better. Now why not take advantage of my word that I wont hurt you and am willing to help, then to send me away and risk another lion who might not be so against hurting you?"

Raising a brow, he was curious if she was willing to actually trust him of not. "If you leand against me, we can walk back down to the stream so you can soak your paw. Then you wont need to put any pressure on it."

There had to be something she could do other than just lay there! The young female kept her eyes tightly closed, not wanting to see the sharp teeth or claws of the handsome lion coming towards her-… She frowned at herself for thinking that. Even after everything her mother has told her, she still didn’t fully believe that someone as gentle sounding as he would actually hurt her. Was she wrong to think that? She had always been told that it would be her downfall – being too trusting. But… just his voice seemed to be proof enough that he wouldn’t do something so dastardly as to cause her harm. Then again, she should have been paying attention to what was going on around her. She should have been able to pick up his scent if she had been focusing on her previous task, this would have never happened.

Suddenly, a gentle pressure was applied to her slightly, probably-not-even-really-hurt paw. She had almost completely forgotten about the lion as she lost herself in thought. Shining, sun-like eyes blinked open in the direction of her paw, only to be greeted with the bright, ruby orbs of the lion. Chieng felt the heat in her face rise and her heartbeat quicken again, but it wasn’t really fear that was overtaking her. But, what else could it be? She stared at him in disbelief for a moment… then, as if she had only just realized there was an actual lion next to her, she jumped up from her spot in dismay, only to take one awkward sidestep into the wall of tall grass before the unexpected shot of pain ran through her leg, forcing her to lay back down.

Okay, if that was considered an escape attempt, she definitely failed miserably. She was doing that quite a lot lately – failing. Hopefully it was only a phase. She blinked in surprise at his words to her, not expecting anyone, especially a lion like him, to care if she was hurt or not. Which, on that subject, she really wasn’t hurt! She was just being a baby about a tiny little scrape. Poor little cheetah that couldn’t take a bit of pain. “I’m not hurt!” she frowned defensively at him, completely forgetting that she was just freaking out about the thought of him hurting her. “And I’m perfectly capable of walking by myself, thank you,” she huffed, frowning even more now that the lion was crouching down beside her, offering her some assistance. She didn’t need any assistance! She was perfectly fine on her own!

Right… She was going to prove that she was fine too… Any day now…

Chieng glanced around, not exactly wanting to try getting up at the moment. It was true that she wasn’t hurt at all, but for some reason the stinging in her paw didn’t seem to want to subside enough for her to move around currently. “Lovely weather we’re having,” she mumbled, trying to change the subject-

Wait, why was she there again? Something about hiding and being eaten? “Eh?” she squeaked, remembering why she was hiding in the first place. He was a lion and she was a cheetah, so the probability of her getting away from him unscathed was low, especially when she was hurt – which she wasn’t… But apparently she looked like she was. “I didn’t mean to bother you!” she suddenly blurted out, deciding that she didn’t want to get eaten by anything at the moment, “I was just trying to- eh, what I mean is… It’s not that…” Where was she going with this? Realizing that she was staring into the lion’s brilliant red eyes again she quickly looked away and down at the ground. Something about his eyes and his voice were so calming, yet mysterious that she couldn’t help but be curious about him. Maybe he was as nice and gentle as his voice led her to believe. Maybe she should actually let him help her like he was offering?

No! Now was not the time to bother anyone with her own problems. She refused to be a burden on him. “I’m sorry for causing you worry, but I’m perfectly fine on my own,” she insisted as she carefully drew herself up off the ground to stand. She glanced down at the lion, not feeling as threatened now that she was seeing him from a higher perspective. He really was pretty- er… handsome. For a lion at least. She swayed a bit on her feet, but steadied herself enough to prove that she was fine. Maybe if she had really been hurt, she would be able to take the help he had offered her.

For now, she would just go and… try to find some place to stay for the night. Taking a step forward another shot of pain raced through her leg. She winced, pulling it off the ground and holding it close to her body. Like that wasn’t unexpected. Okay, maybe she really was hurt, but she didn’t have to act like a baby about it. “What?” she shot at the lion before he could say or do anything, “I always walk like this!” Chieng puffed out her cheeks a bit as she rolled her eyes. This might be a bit more difficult than she first expected it to be. She paused for a moment longer before carefully hopping forward, but instead regaining her composure immediately afterwards she swayed dangerously off balance. “Ehh??” she let out a squeak of panic as she took a few sidesteps in the direction of the lion as she tried desperately to stay on her feet.

“Waah…” she whimpered, having finally succumbed to gravity. Somehow, though, she managed to land on something soft – at least much softer than grass was supposed to be. It was rather warm too… She blinked in horror, realizing what she had just done. “I-I’m sorry!” she gasped, trying to get up and away from the lion, but only managed to make things worse as she slipped forward, face first into his feather soft mane. Wasn’t she supposed to be worried about hurting him? Or… Something? Or was she supposed to worry about him hurting her? “I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” she mumbled into his mane with an exasperated sob or two. This wasn’t supposed to happen! She just wanted to get something for dinner and… Go through her day like normal!

"Careful now..." Qiovi ushered as his body gave a slight twitch as she seemed to jump and tumble back into the grass. Forced to lay due to the pain her paw was probably giving her when she applied pressure. Many times when he was younger he had done the same to his paw...chuckling to hinself he could clearly remember the annoyed sigh of his mother as she picked him up by his scruff and brought him over to the streams back home. Oh how she would warn him time and time again that he couldn't run fast like the adults and not know the essentials to his senses. He didn't realize then...but now a days he did know the wisdom behind the words.

Cringing slightly, he found he could only smile as she denied her pain stubbornly. What was amazing was her sun-like orbs could be so cheery one moment and blazing the next. "Alright alright...Just trying to help out." Sheepishly folding his paws over the other, he remained still but observant as he made sure nothing too terrible happened to the prideful Cheetah. "Oh...quite." He embelished in her small talk while his eyes and head turned up to the darkening skies as blood tinted clouds sat on a rusty orange sky.

Twisting his head back down to find a rather pleasing sight of her own eyes staring into his own as she began to stutter and spit out appologies for her intrusion...she seemed to notice that she was infact staring too long before she tore her gaze away. How dissapointing. Shaking his mane lightly as some strands of hair fell over his crimson orbs he huffed lightly and blew the locks obstructing his view before speaking once again. "You were not intruding....The stream is as free for you to roam as it is for myself. This is no lands, so we don't need to worry about prides and how huffy those lions can be about their space." Despite anything he could say or do, this cheetah was determined to get up and leave as soon as possible. Reguardless, he knew he couldn't make her stay...besides; how silly would it sound if he asked for her company? He would be even more of a laughing stock then he already made himself out to be. Wasn't that the real reason behind his leaving....yet never seemed to make it past the masks he wore so frequently.

Caught in his own thoughts for a moment, he didn't really pay attention to her sudden stumble and quick remark about the way she walked. She was leaving and with how vast and wide these lands were they were probably never to meet again, it was a shame...a real shame.

Too bad he wasn't paying attention.

Suddenly feeling the weight come crashing down onto him as the wind escaped through his jaws with a 'oof!' Qiovi gasped deeply to regain the sudden loss of oxygen in his body. None the less he quickly figured out what had happened as the femme must have lost her balance and unfortunately for her fell right ontop of him...her struggling and muffled sorries from the depths of his mane was clear evidence of that. Taking advantage of the situation he shifted his large paws under his body and heaved himself onto his legs with the cheetah balanced on his back almost perfectly thanks to the tumble. Since she refused his help erlier, she would have little choice now as he turned and began walking slowly and carefully to the stream.

"Now I know you're fine on your own..." He joked playfully, "yet how about you just say you gave up and caved in because of my relentless persistance on being some service to you?" Chuckling lightly as he mustered up all the grace he was capable of to make the trip as smooth as possible for the cheetah currently riding on his back; he figured she would be fine if they got to the deep spot just upstream a bit. There she could soak and float around without having any weight on her paw, or so he hoped she would at least try to releive herself of some pain. Stepping down into the stream waters, he traveled the short distance along the rocky bottom till they reached a somewhat deep pond in the streams path.

"It might be a little chilly..."

Qiovi warned before slowly as he made sure not to slip on the bottom submerged his body down into the water. Reaching the center of the pond he had to crane his neck up as not to drown to allow the femme to float off of his back as he could feel her body floating up slightly even now. Sliding out partially from under her, he looked back to see if she was infact doing alright and not drowning. Gosh, that would be the last thing he wanted to see result from his good deed. It was then a thought sparked in his mind as the lion smiled and closed his eyes for a moment to add to such a peaceful expression.

"My name is Qiovi....by the way."

How embarrassing!!! This was not supposed to happen! Chieng whimpered as she attempted to push herself up and off of the much larger lion. He must think she was some kind of freak – falling all over the place and looking like an idiot. Talk about graceful… What a way to bother him too! First she interrupted him in… whatever it was he was doing… And then she goes and makes him insist on helping her. He probably had much better things to do than deal with her. And now he had to wait for her to get off of him. “Sorry!” she muttered again before finally unburying herself from his mane. It was really rather soft too…

Suddenly, the white-coated male began to move underneath her. “Ah! W-wait!” she gasped, quickly reminding herself to retract the claws she had absentmindedly put out in an attempt to balance herself on the lion’s back. “Y-you really don’t have to do this! I’m perfectly fine! I’m just being a baby about a tiny little scratch, that’s all! Nothing to get all excited about!” she panicked, the speed of the words tumbling from her mouth increasing as she was raised off the ground. Saffron orbs stared in horror as she was lifted high off the ground, much higher than she had ever been! The fur on her back was quickly rising on end as she ascended up above the tall grass. Keep the claws retracted, keep them retracted – she reminded herself again as the lion began to move, instantly causing her to want to hold on in any way possible.

“I’m really fine, I promise! You don’t have to – Oh dear… Ah!! You don’t have to… Ah… Really, it’s fine! I’m fine! Everything’s fine!” she rambled, noticing that he was indeed heading towards the water. He wasn’t serious about helping her, was he? “I really am fine you don’t have to worry I didn’t mean to bother you I’m sorry I’ll be more careful next time it’s just a little scratch not even that it’s probably just all in my mind I’m imagining it there’s not need for this trouble you’re going through you don’t have to help me I’m fine!!!” she cried in her panic, feeling the heat in her face rise enough to make her feel dizzy. He really was going to help her?? Why!? She was just causing problems!

“Aaaahhhh…” she whined, not knowing what else to say to get him to let her down. She would have jumped… But just standing on her injured leg was bad enough… He was going into the water now, mentioning that it might be a little chilly. Chieng, not as tall as the lion, held her breath, expecting to sink right to the bottom when he slid out from under her... Surprisingly, she didn’t. “Okay, thank you. I’m fine now, really I am. Sorry for bothering you,” she mumbled, making sure her head stayed out of the water as she floated around a bit. Now… How to get back to shore?

The cheetah frowned as she padded forward a bit, but only managed to turn – she was keeping her hurt paw close to her body, afraid of letting it hit the stream bottom. Padding forward again, she was only able to turn some more… She… She was going around in a circle at this rate!! “Waaah…” she whined, turning her focus onto the shore opposite of her first intended target.

Sun-like eyes blinked a few times towards the lion as he introduced himself. Qiovi… That was a pretty name… It seemed to fit him… Ah! She shook her head – she had to be focused on proving that she was fine on her own. “Chieng,” she coughed out an introduction, forgetting for a moment to keep her head above the water. She wasn’t too used to swimming. Oh, she could swim – she just didn’t prefer it too much when she only had the mobility of three of her legs… Well… At least her paw didn’t hurt as badly…

“S-so,” she shivered a bit in the water, trying to pass off her flailing around in the water as something she was doing on purpose, “Do you go around rescuing every damsel in distress you find? Ha… Ha ha…” she grinned awkwardly at him, paddling a bit more in a circle to keep afloat. This wasn’t embarrassing… No… Why would she be embarrassed about this?!

Chieng frowned again, wondering if she was still supposed to be feeling dizzy. Sure, she was practically swimming in a circle, but that wasn’t enough to make her feel as light headed as she was feeling. No… That couldn’t be it… Maybe it was from her panicking earlier… She was feeling dizzy then too… But she always panicked about things… So that couldn’t be it either. A low rumble in her stomach reminded her that she hadn’t eaten in a while… Ah… That might be it…

The female flashed a grin at the lion, “This is fun,” she coughed, still trying to figure how to get to shore without looking like even more of an idiot… At least her paw was feeling a whole heck of a lot better… She probably should have listened to… What was his name? Qiovi? She should have listened to Qiovi sooner… Maybe lions weren’t all that bad…
