Tucked in nearby lies Ollivander's with a sign that says "Makers of Fine Wands Since382 B.C." There is a single wand on a violet cushion in the window. It may seem like a small shop to the customer, as piles and rows of wands in boxes line the walls. Airy and bright [and a little frieghtening] Mr. Ollivander remembers every wand ever sold to every customer.

Asia made her way across Diagone Alley and found herself infront of Ollivanders Wand shop. She needed to get her wand tuned up and have her case inspected, to make sure it was still working properly. So as she pulled the box holding her wand out, she approached the desk and looked around. She set the box on the desk and opened the lid to reviel an apple wood wand.

The wood was stained to be a light red color with the darker streaks due to the natural stain of the wood. The wand had a crisp appley smell and seemed to be bursting with youthful energy. The handle was also Apple, but was unstained and a dark brown. It had celtic runes carved into the handle and a small amethyst embedded into the butt of the handle.
The core was of course a dragon whisker, and because of what the wand was made of, and what it contained, it was certainly not made by Olivander.

Olivander then, as if summoned by the pressenc eof the wand, appeared at the desk and folded his hands as he glanced at th wand. Asia looked up in surprize as she hadn't heard him move behind the desk, or seen him until she had looked up. "A fine wand indeed. Obviously custom built, and in such pristine condition... I can see that you must polish it every week..." He said as he picked it up and looked it over. He pointed it away fromt he pair and flicked it, a single pink spark erupted from the tip and curved up and made a firework effect just below the ceiling.
Asia watched curiously. "So it's all fine?" She asked, she had had no problems with it, but she knew some wands got tempermental when they were not used over the summer, and she had kept it in it's box all summer with the occassionally polishing. Olivander simply nodded and set it back in it's case. "That's good, so, could I buy another bottle of Polish, and a good peice of silk to polish it with?" She asked as he slid the box over to her.

"Sure, that will be 7 Galleons 11 Sickles and 2 Knuts." Ollivander said with a smile as Asia handed over the money and took the silk and the bottle of Polish and placed them into the shopping bag she has gotten at the Ink shop.

"Uncle, have you seen my notebook anywhere?" said Eleanor, flying gracefully down the stairs. She stopped immediately as she saw that there was a customer. 'Wait a moment, she thought, 'I recognize her from Hogwarts!'

"Hello," she said politely. 'She probably doesn't know who I am, even though we're both in Hufflepuff. But I know her, her name's Asia, or something like that. Hufflepuff Seeker, isn't she?'

Eleanor came to stand behind the counter and, smiling, said, "How are you, Asia?" in her lovely high-pitched voice, which she didn't think was so lovely.

She started to feel bad. She should've been manning the counter, and she should've gotten the polish and silk for Asia, but no, instead she was upstairs looking franticly for her songbook.

Asia looked up as she heard another girl fly down the stairs. It was another Hufflepuff. The girls name was on the tip of Asia's tounge and she furrowed her brows in thought. The girls voice was kind of familiar, it was a soft, melodic voice that was easy on the, well, ears, but not too memorable, in Asia's opionion, but it seemed she was ecpected to remember alot of people. And in all likelihood, they had probably had not had alot of classes together.

As the girl said her name and asked how Asia was, she just remembered the other Hufflepuff's name. Elanor. Her face tension eased back to a calmplacid look, before she registered the questiona nd gave a small smile to the girl. "Oh, I'm well. What about you, Elanor, right?" she had to make sure, just so that she didlt confidently say the girls name and turn out to be wrong. As the seeker talked to the girl, who appeared to work here for Olivander, she fiddled with the ink stationary bag to make sure the polish was upright and that the sik wasn't folded in a weird way.

"Well that's good. I'm doing quite fine, actually. I've been helping my uncle run the wand shop." she smiled. Asia was a very pretty girl, Eleanor had noticed it before. She was one of the lucky ones.

Eleanor didn't think much of herself, but she did love to flatter other people. Making people feel good was, in fact, one of her favorite things to do.

"Can I help you with anything else?" she asked, hoping that she could. It was nice to see a somewhat familiar face.

Ryan rushed down Diagon Ally, his brunette hair with red streaks (or at least for that week) pushed back from the wind rushing at him while he pushed through the crowds. Useless words washed over him; shouts from little kids to their parents, chattering between fellow students about what they had to buy for that school year, about what they had done over the summer. Such talk did not concern Ryan right now as he manuvered through, trying to hurry; he had told Sky not to leave him, granting her the freedom to go to the apothacary's by herself whle he went to the cauldron shop, but he had remembered while roaming that he had needed new polish for his wand. And, knowing Skylar as he did, she wouldn't be happy if he dragged her all the way to that grumpy wandmaker. So, as he had realized, he needed to go quickly before she noticed he was gone and ran off once again.

It wasn't long until he saw the small shop just in front of him and in a hurry, he pushed through the door, flooding the shop with light from the outside world. He stood in the frame for a moment or so, letting his eyes adjust to the less-lit place he now stood, his pupils dialating left and right, before he took a few steps in. As the door shut behind him, it sucked out the noise that he'd brought in with him, along with the light that had followed as well. Now, he just stood in the crowded room, or rather room that was crowded with box upon box of wands, still trying to gain his sight back.

At last, he was able to see and he moved foward to the two girls standing near by, realizing that he probably had looked like an idiot standing there, like a dumbfounded man who had never been in the shop, though he had just been trying to see. He didn't take the time to notice who either of them were, and if he had he would have noticed that the lovely Eleanor was standing right in front of him, and that maybe he could get to know the mysterious girl who always carried around a notebook for something. However, as the cercumstances were, he needed to get what he needed and be out before Skylar found out; but he still didn't even know how long he would take, since he was bound to run into someone he'd sidetrack with.

Approaching Olivander as though neither of the girls stood there, he stated simply, "Um... I'm sorry to barge in in such a hurry, but I need some polish."

Eleanor looked up as Ryan walked in. She blinked in the bright light that followed him in from the streets, and as the door closed, letting the shadows crawl back to the front of the room, she recognized him as Ryan Martin, a 7th year Ravenclaw she'd had a tiny crush on since last year. She had to admit to herself, he did look pretty silly just standing there for a moment as his eyes adjusted to the dimly it room. If she could, Eleanor would let in all the sun she could, but the endless shelves of wands that covered the walls, and the windows, prevented this.

There were, however, windows in the front of the little shop, but they were very dirty, and as they faced the east, there wasn't much sun coming through them at this time of day. Ollivander bustled around behind the counter to find the right kind of polish for Ryan's type of wood.

Eleanor hoped Ryan would remember her as she smiled and said, "Hello, Ryan. How's your summer been?" Maybe he wouldn't remember her, but she sure remembered him. In fact, they'd flirted quite a bit last year. Well, maybe he didn't see it as flirting. Eleanor didn't expect she was particularly good at that.

She tucked a stray piece of curly brown hair back behind her ear, and reached over and under the counter and pulled out the right jar of wand polish. Ollivander was much too unorganized for his own good. Eleanor would have to straighten up before she left or he'd never be able to find anything.

"Uhn?" Ryan noised, hearing someone saying something to him, even using his name. He had seen two other girls in there, and the voice was that of a girls; was it one of them? He turned around slightly, a 90 degree angle from where he'd been facing a moment before, admiring the boxes upon the walls, and looked at the girls near him. He gave a soft smile and a light chuckle, realizing that perhaps he should have taken notice of them upon his entrance; it was, after all, rude to ignore others when you might know them.

"Hey there, el," he started, his voice warm and sweet like a spring day that was slowly rolling into the summer months soon to come. "I'm quite good, actually. However, since school is approaching and much is to be done and accomplished before then, I'm afraid it's become hectic lately," he continued, sounding rather stressed and worked for a moment, but returned to his free self within no more than the blink of an eye. "And what about you? Haven't been working yourself too hard, have you?"

He let his eyes finally take in the Hufflepuff girl standing behind the counter, his mind leaving him while he gazed at her. She had grown a little over the summer, he had to admit; in more ways than one, many might say. But she still seemed the same as he remembered her from last year. However, he couldn't help but feel something about her was out of place, though he couldn't quite put a finger on what (missing notebook, in case you weren't sure). But her curled brown hair, shining slightly in the dim light of the store, her fair skin, those soft blue eyes... it was as he remembered them, if not more beautiful. I wonder if there is anything to come this year, he thought to himself, a feeling- that would have made a smirk had he not come back and caught himself- blooming within him.

"Ah! Thank you very much, el," he stated, taking out the right amount of money to pay for the poish; 5 Galleons and 2 sickles, placing them gently on the counter, though even in his grace and softness, the coins still made a jingle as they hit the counter and each other. "Say, how long have you been working here?" he questioned, taking the polish and placing it in his shoulder bag, which had been slung across his body, the bag having been resting peacfully near his hip.

Eleanor laughed. "No, I haven't been working myself nearly hard enough." She felt his eyes on her more than she noticed with her eyes. Was this a good thing? 'I hope so...' He'd put red streaks in his hair since the last time she saw him, and it had grown longer. It looked really good, she thought.

He always dressed well. It was one of the things that attracted Eleanor to him. She always went for a well-dressed man. "Oh, I've been working here since I was around 13 I guess," she said. Of course, it was quite well known around Hogwarts, at least to those who knew her, that she'd lived with her uncle since infancy.

She also loved his pet name for her. 'El' sounded so simple and so sweet, but had a certain elegance and beauty to it. She'd almost forgotten it was him who had come up with the nickname first. It caught on pretty well. Most people who knew her now knew her as El. Many didn't even know that there was more to the name. She slid her hand across the counter, sweeping the coins into her other hand, which was waiting for them under the counter. She turned the brass key in the old-fashioned cash register and put them in their right places, then turned her eyes back to her Ravenclaw friend. "So, where are you off to next?" she asked, hoping to extend the conversation. She didn't want him to leave just yet.

Ryan laughed, nodding his head. "Yes, yes. How could I forget? I believe I asked you that last year, actually," he admited softly, embarrassed that he had asked again. Sometimes, I'm such an idiot around you.

He felt his feet moving him closer to the counter, as he was done putting away the polish, and his right elbow against the counter. Coming back to his senses, he found that he was leaning against it, a small smile laid upon his lips. "Where am I going? Well, I actually rushed her from the Cauldron shop... I told my friend I was there and not to run off anywhere else without me since they went to a store close by... but it would seem I had to come here," he explained, his voice smooth as silk, "Of course, I don't have to leave just yet. I mean, I'd much rather be here." He was just doing a bit to get her entangled into his web for the time being, not really aware that he wanted her to be there, and not aware that he was doing it in the first place.

However, he also had forgotten where they were and with whom they were with; he forgot Olivander was running around the store, that Asia was standing pretty much right next to him. He forget everything as he talked to the hufflepuff in front of him, his heart being sucked into a feeling he still didn't quite know was there. Ryan really was a clueless fellow sometimes.

"The question should be, however, is it alright if I stay around for a while? Perhaps there might be something you would like me to do... help you out with...?" he inquiered, wondering what she would say; would she gladly accept his help, fully intised(sp) by his accidental charm, or would she push him away and bring him back to his true senses? Such a weird feeling... what would one call this?

As Ryan walked in and ignore her, Asia felt the need to leave. She really had wasted alot of time in the stationary shop with Melanie and Hollywood, and was egar to get to the books store to pick up a few books she needed this year. Plus feeling invisible was not somethig Asia did well. She was use to being payed attention to, being a stellar seeker and all.
But when that she waved to Elanor, not really caring if she even noticed, and made her way out of the shop, shoving her hands in her black coat and squinting as the bright light hit her eyes. It was really dark in there compared to the streets. But never the less, the turned a corner and started walking again.

A small figure stepped timidly into the doorway of Ollivander's wand shop. The door was held open for her by a much larger figure. The small person stood there for a moment, letting her eyes adjust to the stores darkness, silhouetted by the light streaming in through the open doorway. "Come on now-we've no time to waste." The larger figure stated as he stepped in through the door, smiling at the tiny girl that it was his job to escort through Diagon Alley while she collected her school materials. The little one looked up at her escort and gave him a hesitant smile as she followed him into the store. Now that she was able to see, the young female's green eyes lit up with glee. She couldn't help but gasp as her eyes roved the massive amount of wands that populated the store. "Oy, Olli!" Her escort shouted, stepping up to the counter and knocking on the wood. "I got me a witch here-she's about to start her first year at Hogwarts. She needs one of your fancy sticks." The Ministry escort said, turning and winking back at the little girl.

Ayşe, at that moment, wasn't paying the least bit of attention to the man who had brought her through a brick wall in the Leaky Cauldron tavern. She was wandering the dark store, marvelling at the mess of things. "What are in these boxes?" She asked aloud, not really to her escort-more to the air itself. She began to run her fingers up and down the dusty stack, grinning with wonder. "'Ey, Ayshe((That's how it's pronounced)), get up 'ere, would ya?" Her escort said, snapping her out of her exporation. With a sigh, she turned away from the dust-covered towers of wand-boxes and stepped toward the wooden counter that came just about up to her chin and jumped, resting her elbows on the wooden precipice. With a curious glint in her eyes, she looked up at her escort and raised a question he was actually meant to answer.

"What are we here for, mister?" The Turkish/Spanish girl asked, her accent aannouncing to the people in the store exactly what country she was raised in. "Do I get one of those boxes, or what?" The impatient girl asked, now bouncing with glee. "What's in them, mister? Are they spiders? Are they lizards? Ooh, are they newts-will I have to take out their eyes myself for potions and stuff? That'd be rad!" Ayşe said excitedly, pantomiming what she thought the motion of removing an 'Eye of Newt' would be like-complete with sound effects. Her escort winced, then smiled at the young girl. "None of those, little one-we're 'ere to get you...a wand." The escort said, adopting a mystical tone and moving in close for dramatic effect. Ayşe's tiny mouth dropped open in disbelief as she marveled at the man's words. "No...way. I get a wand-that actually works? Way cool!" She said as she threw herself upward, now laying her stomach on Ollivander's antiquated counter. "'Ey, Olli-you e'en back there?" The escort asked, once again knocking on the counter. "Yeah, Olli-you back there?" Ayşe mimicked, now practically starving for the wand she would recieve.

Ryan turned his head, his red lights falling over his eyes until he flicked them away with a quick shake. His chocolate gaze fell upon a girl, who seemed rather young, small, and new to the whole wizarding lifestyle. For starters, after all, she was oh-too-fastinated with the boxes that lined the walls of the store, casting down shadows upon them all, sucking the daylight away from the store. On top of that, though, she didn't even know what store this was. Leaning his chin upon a hand, still against the counter where he had been talking to Eleanor a moment before, he let a small smile grace his lips, watching her roam around.

"They're wands, luv," he answered her question, looking rather welcoming and approachable, not even sure if she'd heard him. The truth was, he remembered when both he and his sister had started hogwarts, how fastinated they were by everything the saw, even though they'd come to Diagon Ally many times previous their first year. But it was all so different once that parchment was in your hands, its crisp words stainging your sight and mind with the wonders that were to soon befall upon you. And this girl was, he observed, as they had been back then. So, why shouldn't he be kind to her?

He watched her, though, scurry off to her escort, somewhere behind him. A thought struck him, though, and he chuckled lightly to himself; I hope I didn't freak her out... a stranger randomly answering a question someone said allowed, probably unconciously... that, I do believe, would be rather strange!

He was still grinning to himself, thinking about how delighted the girl probably was. But as she continued on with her guesses, her talking and excitment, his face fell and his stomach churned; this girl was cute and all, but she was also insane! Did... she just say... it would be rad?! he thought in shock, his chin raised above his hand slightly. AFter a few more moments, he lowered it down again and realized he probably had heard things. Yeah, that's it. I was hearing things... he convinced himself.

"Hm?" Ryan looked over, feeling something else against the counter, only to see the girl. He gave her a nice smile, wondering what else might come out of this girls mouth, if anything had come out of it before. What a strange little girl... wonder what house she'll end up in.
