As you exit through the back of the Leaky Cauldron into Diagon Alley, a flood of busy sights, sounds, and smells meets you. Numerous shops line a narrow street and there are plenty of busy shoppers going about their business.

Woman would you leave already...?! Ania sat silently on a rickety uneven chair inside the leaky Cauldron beside her cousin Kami, and her babbling auntie Kamille. Auntie Kamille was fussing over Kami, making sure everything was in order .Fluffing her hair, straightening her skirt checking her pupils.Ania rolled her eyes and laughed to herself sipping her caramel infused hot apple cider, letting the heat seep through the mug into her cold milky colored hands. She observed her bright blue nail polish admiringly. She had painted little ornate golden R's on her ring fingernails, to show her house pride.Ania looked over at her cousin who was still pleading with her mother to leave, and looked at her fingernails too. She had painted them for her the night before, they were yellow and black diagonal stripes Signaling of course that her cousin was a hufflepuff. Setting down her mug she turned to face her aunt with a humored sigh.
"Aunty Kamille she'll be fine with me... I go alone every year she'll be okay....." She patted her worried aunt on the shoulder and her cousin looked at her mortified. Hesitantly her aunt agreed to leave and let the girls go on with their shopping alone.
After Kami's mother left the shop they both sighed happily. "see..? I told you your mum would listen to reason! Now finish up your coca and lets get going!" Ania leaned her chair back and fourth her stripe covered legs resting on the empty chair next to her.She looked at her blue mary jane's and sighed pulling her feet off the chair. The teen had her blue hair up in pigtails (yes blue she's very accomplished at trasnfiguring) and was wearing a blue sweater over a cute tanktop along with a blue rave tutu and striped leggings Ania sipped the last few drops of cider from her goblet and set down a few sickles. She watched her cousin patiently before getting up."So off to Flourish and Blotts then...?"

Gawd, today had been quite a rollercoaster.
Aidan thought about this as he walked into The Leaky Cauldron through the back entrance, and strode up to the bar. "Bottle of Ogden's," he said to the barman, and laid down a few coins on the wood of the bar. He took the cold bottle and sat himself down at a small table, slouching in the small wooden chair.
He took a drink of the beverage. 'It's good to finally be of-age,' he thought. No more bribing the barman to get his alcohol fixture. Hey, this could be the last good drink he'd have until the first Hogsmeade trip. Best make it worth the while. He ran his fingers through his hair, and looked around the room. A familiar-looking couple of girls caught his eye. Well, of course they caught his eye. One of them had bright blue hair.
They were only a table down, sitting sipping something hot from mugs. Aidan decided to join them. He stood and walked casually over. "Hey," he said, sitting down across from the girls, bottle still in hand.

Ania looked up when she saw a golden sparkle flicker past her and then landing in front of her.It was Aidan....Aidan and his beautiful golden hair. She sat back down and crossed her legs looking from him to Kamille. Kami was sitting in a calm silence, like her cousin often did and Ania smiled and looked back at the blonde boy. "Hey Aidan Whats up? Shopping...? We just finished....though we were thinking about stopping off at flourish and blotts to pick up My Divination book..."
She knew she was babbling...hell everyone did. But she just could not help herself around Aidan it's like she was born a fool. There was just somthing about him...maybe it was his calm demeanor, or maybe his gorgeous green eyes, or even his voice so rough and manly but soft too, he was just perfect.... She laughed awkwardly and waved at Tom for two more of their drinks and was soon brought a new steaming cup of cider and her cousin a warm cocoa.Kami looked up momentarily and smiled "Thanks tom.." She pulled the cup to her lips and sipped the foamy cocoa.
Ania smiled at her cousins meek response and looked back at Aiden."So excited about this term? I know I am With my cousin back for good." She nudged Kami in the arm and was answered by a playful look.Kami held the look. Held it in place. She was afraid of letting it go. She felt as if she had to smile and laugh so she wouldn't yell in Ania's face, or in Aidans. She knew he wasn't that bad but she was VERY protective.

Aidan smiled. Ania was in fact a bright one. And not just her hair. She had this kind of personality that just sort of got into you, made you feel good. He took another drink of firewhisky.
Aidan didn't actually know much about these girls, other than that they were cousins and both very pretty. Not too much younger than him, and one was in Ravenclaw and the other...Hufflepuff, he believed. No matter. House rivalries hardly ever stopped Aidan when it came to a girl he was pursuing. He'd even go out with a Gryffindor if he liked her enough. Well, obviously, given the days actions.
"Shopping? No, not really... more just hanging out, actually. I've finished with all my school shopping a couple days ago." Yet another drink from the brown bottle, he began to feel a slight buzz.
He needed some conversation slightly more stimulating than 'shopping,' so he invented some. "Now, you're name's something like...Ania, right?" he asked. "But what's your name, babe?" he turned to Kami as he asked this question. Of course, he hadn't forgotten her name. He never forgot the name of a pretty girl.
"Back for good? Where's she been?" he laughed slightly at this. [ sorry it's not very good... i'm a bit tired. a couple things though, that i wanted to point out... 1. flourish and blotts is the bookstore, i think you want inks 'n things, the stationery shop for a quill. 2. it is in fact aidAn, with an A. 3. aidan has green eyes [: ok that'll be about all my mistake-pointing for the night. sorry :/ ] she sinks in my mind as she sheds through her skin

Ania giggled girlishly then quickly recovered and nodded when Aidan mentioned her name. As if reading each others minds, the cousins simultaneously thought to themselves okay that was weird.... They looked at each other then back to Aidan quickly shaking off the odd moment.
When he turned to kamille her face brightened in frustration, but to him it probably looked more so like a blush. She fought not snapping at him, and through her teeth she spoke quietly. "I'm Kami...and I've been in france...I left after my first year...." Kami spoke to the ground and huffed slightly.
Ania looked at her puzzled but she ran on "So would you like to join us on our way to Flourish and Blotts? Or were you going-" Kami cut her off sounding rather irritated. "No..I mean no uh we're not even going remember?? I TOLD you I will be lending you mine...." She tugged slightly on ania's arm and ania shook her off still gazing at Aidan. "Anyways..." She spoke louder this time stomping on Ania's foot "...Annabelle we have to get home to pack so Come on...."
They both stood up and as Ania hurriedly left some sickles on the table she gave Aidan and apologetic and quite confused look , then got dragged out of the pub by her seemingly deranged cousin.

Aidan shrugged to himself coolly. He drank another deep drink of firewhisky, half-emptying the bottle. He put his feet up on a stool across from him and took another drink, savoring it. He didn't have to fly home tonight, no worries there. He didn't care if his father screamed at him for being 'intoxicated' in public. He didn't give a damn about much of anything tonight.
He emptied the bottle, a slight dizziness coming upon him as he stood and walked to the bar. "Another bottle, please." He began to pull the notes from his pocket, then had a good thought. "Actually, Tom, make it three more bottles. For the road, you know." he smiled at him devilishly. The barman looked slightly taken aback, but did as Aidan asked, setting three brown bottles on the countertop, dripping with condensation. Aidan loaded them into his arms, something he'd become very talented at, holding several bottles at once, and with his free hand laid a note and three gold coins on the counter. "A tip, my man," he said, indicating the extra galleons.
With that, he turned on his heel into nothingness, and popped back into existence in his own bedroom. He sat down on the king-size bed, popped the top off another bottle, and took a swig, laying back against the soft sheets and staring up at the canopy, which was enchanted to look like a starry sky.

Matt kicked a cobblestone free as he walked, wishing he hadn't snuck off when he did. He thought about the possibility of Alice being upset about it, then the thought was quickly urged out of his mind. Honestly, Matt...she's got Aidan Reece and Rain Larks after her...and those are just the open ones. What makes you think she'd actually ever think about choosing you over any of them?! Be real with yourself, boy. There's nothing significant about you-you're average...basic...run. of. the. mill. The only thing that's significant about you is your missing ring finger...and no one finds that attractive. You should have at least stayed there with her...been a good friend. That's all you'll ever be to her, so you might as well get good at it. He thought as he opened the door to the Leaky Cauldron, alarmed to see Blue and her cousin leaving in a hurry. Startled, he held the door open and watched as the two girls streamed out. A shocked smile spread across his lips as Ania's arm brushed his body. Even the slightest touch from the blue-haired beauty set his heart ablaze...but he had to keep quiet-ironically enough, he liked her too much to tell her. He continued to make his way through the pub and waved at the bartender, who was serving a blond haired man a couple bottles of Firewhiskey. When the man turned, Matt's heart ran cold.
Aidan Reece...a man with a noose around his neck as far as Matt was concerned. The thought occured of tackling him right then and there-but Aidan had the luck of disapparating in the nick of time. You won't live to be free of Hogwarts, Reece-not after the crap you pulled today. An angry sigh escaped the lips of the dark-skinned boy as he sent Tom a nod, heading towards the stairs. "Hey, one o' my waiters called in sick tonight, so you're on call, alright?" The bartender/owner of the pub said as Matt nodded. One thumbs up and a 'sure, no problem' later, Matt was back in his room, flopping down on the bed. Oh yeah. It was going to be a looonng week.
At random, Matt began flipping through his Charms book, hoping maybe to get a leg-up on the rest of the class. He spun his wand on the flat of his palm as he perused the chapter on summoning charms, at the moment finding them completely useless. "Accio, apple." He muttered sarcastically as he picked up a nearby apple and laid back down on his bed, sighing. He took a bite out of the apple and winced as the juice exploded around his mouth. He let out a laugh and put his hand behind his head, realizing that this was exactly what he was going to be doing for the next week or so. Sighing, he leaned over and picked up his walkman, putting a casette inside of the bright yellow contraption. He closed the tape door and pushed play, leaning back as the sounds of Queen dominated his eardrums, the quick melody of Bites the Dust filling his world. After a little, he couldn't help but sing along to the music...not too well mind you, but decently. "Out of the doorway the bullets rip, another one bites the dust!" He sang, barely able to keep up with the quick changes of the song before the craving to play along took over. He lifed his guitar from beside his bed and began strumming the strange chord pattern of the song, playing the high E-minor and switching to a C6 pattern after six beats. He'd probably get outrageously better at guitar now that he had nothing else to do.
