okay... normally I might start an RPG, but I think the rules are asking for just a BIT too much information... Not to mention there's way too much for anyone (especially me since I not only am a full time college student but post/read/write many stories/rpgs) to actually keep track of. I agree that it's all justified, but can't you simplify it more? I mean, dang... Then there's the whole OC thing... I donno if I like that rule since I tend to use characters that have elements out of the usual Inuyasha style.

What's the fun in a crossover anyway if you have to keep Inu and the gang in their world? For purposes of lack of knowledge, I suppose that can be understandable, but making them stay there indefinately just seems a bit... oh, I don't know that I know a good word for it.

♥ | I understand where you might think of it as a lot, but, honestly, it's not. There are only seven or eight things that you really have to keep up with, the hardest one probably being how to post a RPG. But the ones such as "no cutting/suicide/etc." and "stay within the PG-13 limitations" should all be general, as well as the being polite and literate rule as they apply almost everywhere on Gaia itself; there should be no problem remembering these.

There's no rule saying that you have to make your RPG super-detailed. No, actually, it can be minimally detailed. But it all adds up to one thing: in the end, making a RPG can take as long as you want it to, but whether that's five minutes or forever isn't really my business. smile So I see no reason in a simplification of these rules.

As for the OC's...no, I'm not changing this rule. xd At least I'm giving you the chance to have an OC, as I could have said that no OC's are allowed whatsoever and that the use of them will result in the deletion of your RPG or whatever, but I didn't.

And on a little different note, you sort of proved the reason why we have that rule in the first place. confused OC's that go outside the elements of the Inuyasha world don't really belong in the Inuyasha world... Then they get dubbed a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu. sweatdrop

You're going to have to take the crossover rule up with Sugar, since she's the one that made it. neutral But I suppose it has something to do with the entire reason she started this guild: she wanted a guild that she knew would be for Inuyasha only, not other animes. 3nodding | ♥

Hello, hello!

Anya_Eliza
okay... normally I might start an RPG, but I think the rules are asking for just a BIT too much information... Not to mention there's way too much for anyone (especially me since I not only am a full time college student but post/read/write many stories/rpgs) to actually keep track of.

If you are saying that there is too much information to read in the rules, I'm sorry, but it has to all be there. We need to protect our butts as well as everyone who is/will be joining this guild. If you're saying that we ask for too much information on the RPG you want to start, I'm sorry, but because we are only first starting out, there are plenty of people to cover the characters Takahashi-sensei made herself.

We're not saying you can't have an Inuyasha AU RPG, but it needs to be with the characters, until we at least get full enough that all the main characters are taken. Then we can start adding in original characters. And while they can certainly have main parts in an RPG, they must not venture out into their very own world created solely by you. This is an Inuyasha-based Guild with people who love the world of Inuyasha. Taking characters that aren't Inuyasha and placing them in a world that isn't Inuyasha just isn't Inuyasha, understand?

As for keeping track of it, I honestly don't see that there's an overload to keep track of. All we're saying is let us know what your original character is, less you make it an MS, don't start out with Original Characters, because then it's not Inuyasha, and give us a beginning paragraph about what your RPG is going to be like.

If you can come up with a simpler way to say what we need to say then by all means, write it up and send it to us, and we'll see if it works. But if you mean can we simplify the rules by changing them, the answer is a definite no.

As for the OC thing, there are plenty of RPGs out there that allow massive amounts of OC's run the RP, we are not one of them. We are a guild that loves Inuyasha, not Original Characters that people like to throw in. Especially if they don't have an Inuyasha element.

As for the crossover thing, W'nnabe hit it right on the head.
