So last night I was avoiding homework and came up with the idea of mapping the progression of two of my characters, which gave me the idea for this thread! (Plus a lot of people were doing it on DA)

SO! How has your art progressed? From your over all artistic style/way of rendering to the design of particular characters that may have changed with the months/years since you've created them. It's a really great thing to do because you can see how much you've accomplished and really how well you've mastered new techniques and programs. Plus it's a great way to procrastinate on homework.

So to get this started, I personally I looked through the inner bowels of my computer and dug up some old images of Helix (A three year old character) and Sapphire (a two year old character).

I definitely think you've improved! Now. I am not going to dig up any of my old, old art, because I think I've thrown most of my sketchbooks from middle school and at least the first half of high school in the bin. But we can go through my deviantart.

4/11/03 - The first thing I ever posted in my dA! I drew it by hand and colored it in MS Paint. X3
2/14/04 - Obviously this was photoreferenced. I did a couple of drawings using Chelsea's pictures.
2/8/05 - Holiday was really cute. I wish I had kept drawing her. She was my tiny muse.
2/17/06 - I started coloring things in photoshop!
1/29/07 - Recentish pencil doodle.

And obviously the art in my sig is brand new, but not super awesome. That was a fun trip down memory lane!
