What I pulled from a set of dumpsters this night:
6 Encyclopedia Britanicas from 1945 (for collages)
4 Bible Story Picture Books (For collages)
A Boxes of 12 unopened muffins
A Box of unopepend donuts
A River Raft (perfectly good!)
3 Good pairs of shoes
1950's Hair Dryer
oh the goodness!!

ive never found anything that good, just some old dvds, physcology books, and a high voltage sign.

celeste_gabriev Don't you worry about getting food poisoning from the food you find in the dumpster? not really! its more about eating non perishables from the dumpster, or things that are unopened. Dairy products are a no no as well! If you have a chance, you should read the faq in the rules and regulations section! they explain alot. I cannot even begin to list......but I have found everything you could think of, from old bellows cameras (when they had to explode gunpowder for a flash) to clothes with tags still on.... I have furnished my house over and over again xd
I always trade up xp

demilessismore I cannot even begin to list......but I have found everything you could think of, from old bellows cameras (when they had to explode gunpowder for a flash) to clothes with tags still on.... I have furnished my house over and over again xd I always trade up xp oh totally! the bellows cameras sound so amazing! I hope one day i would come across something like that, me being a camera afficianado.

huge box full of womens clothes, all cute and in great shape!
large flower pot
great, black, fishnet laundry duffel bag
2 glass vases
1890's wooden travel trunk from Norway (Name of sender and address painted on trunk) full of Legos!

You guys find the most sweetest things.... Why don't people just give those things away to a second hand shop? If I don't want something and it's in selling condition. I give it to a non profit charity so they can make money by selling it. I would also go dumpster diving and give things to people who need it more than me.

Its because corporations and stores would rather dispose of their perfectly good items then give them away. its the whole idea that if no one is going to buy it, then ill throw it out type motive. its really disheartening and selfish.

In my town the two major grocery stores donate lots of diffrent things they can't sell to a local church. The food is perfectly fine, and it helps feed a lot of needy people. Unfortunatly they have the people who abuse it too but that's another story.
