How To

Asignment Requirments

To turn in an assignment, merely post your paper in this thread. To get full points it must be on time, and meet the length requirment, when none is posted, you must guess the expectation of the teacher... Lecrious likes 2 paragraphs minimum usually, and that means 4-6 sentences each paragraph... and he likes it when you stay on topic...

Lecrious will write in your post in BLUE and make comments, both positive and negative, so you can see how many points he has awarded you.

Reijand allowed herself a small smirk as she sat down to work, this was her favorite class, and, by far, her favorite teacher. She scribbled a small note in the top corner of her paper, hope you had a good summer, and began to write.
I did, and thank you so much for asking my dear!

Potions has always been my strong point, and, for this year, I intend to keep it as such. I expect, as always, to learn new potions. I also hope to find out about new ingredients that we as students were not allowed to use in previous years. For example, Ashwinder ash - the ashwinder's eggs can be used in love potions, and ash itself is supposedly used in a few rare wands. I would like to find out about any uses that it has. Perhaps even delve into more modern potions.

As you likely know, my pepper-up potion is much stronger than it should be. It sped up the test mouse's heart rather than simply make it more energetic! This is one peeve of mine that I would very much like to work on, as I am not allowed to even be near my cauldron during the summer.

Ah, as before I am looking forward to having you in class again, and make sure, after class some time, you sit me dow and show me exactly how you make your Pepper-Up Potion. I wiull try my best to make sure I can help you correct your mistake. And I do think we shall cover one potion which includes Ashwinders Ash in it, and we will be looking at love potions! Such fun times those shall be!

Potions seems, to me, one of the more interesting classes here. It sounds like fun, though I'm sure it's quite different than how it's portrayed to Muggles. I expect to learn the differences between the two and am curious as to what those differences might be. A lot of Muggle films portray witches over a bubbling cauldron, but they're never specific on what they're brewing. I'm curious as to what can be made in a potion.

Ah m'dear! I am looking forward to teaching you the wonder and amazement of Potion making. And we shall go over the differences between muggle portrayed potions, and real ones. But yes, we do tend to be huddled over our bubbling Cauldrons... Anyways, it shall be an utterly delight treat to teach you!

Calvin thought for a while and started to scribble onto the parchment carefully.

Fifth Year

For me, Potions is a subject I found quite diffcult to understand and master. For the past years, I mosty got only "Acceptable" for all assignments and homework but fortunately and luckily, sometimes I manage to obtain an "Exceed Expectations", just occasionally. Therefore this year, I hope that I could master my Potions making skill as this is my O.W.L year. This year, I hope to learn more about creating antidotes for various potions because I plan to pursue the career of an Auror. So mastering potions is a must for me.

Well, m'dear lad, I think it's difficult to master potions if you lack a knack for it. You do have two more years though, besides this one... So I suppose I could attempt to help you out when I have the time. And learning antidotes isn't the only thing you'll need if you want to become an auror. You'll need poisons themselves and lots of beefing up potions. Polyjuices, voice changing potions, gender changing potins, strength increasing potions, potions to up your courageousness...
