Here are some happy little poems I wrote. Some of them don't really have any depth but I hope you enjoy.

My Hero

Hercules or Heracles
Whichever name you chose
He’s still a hero to this day
He could never lose.

Yet I believe a hero
Can be standing at your door
Saving you from danger,
Never wanting more

Today we have our idols
What have they done that’s good?
I’d rather idolize someone
Who’s done as they should

To find your own hero
Read the news each day
You might just find someone
Who deserves a “Hooray!”

The Valentine

The blood red petals will soon fall
and the cards with sweet phrases
will fade in the sun.
The chocolates in the heart shaped box
will be eaten,
and the box discarded.
But the one thing you still hold,
the hand clasping yours,
will last for all time.

Yeah, that one's kind of random because it's not valentine's day but i hope you like it anyway.

Here's another:

Springtime in New England

Two feet of snow
Lay on brown grass
The ground is frozen
And the cold bites into me.

It’s springtime in New England.

Salt streaked cars
Rush by my window
As I turn up the thermostat
And put on a sweater.

It’s springtime in New England.

The cat paws at the door
I let her outside
minutes later I hear her meow
“It’s too cold to be out”

It’s springtime in New England

A cleared off patch of ground
Thaws slowly in the sun
A purple crocus, fragile and dainty
Pops out its head to greet the sun

It’s really springtime in New England.

I really like all of them, especially springtime in new England because it's great imagery (I think that even if I didn't see it every spring here in MA then I would still be able to visualize it) beautiful work...
