The World of Dreams Every night people go to sleep. They dream. They may not remember their dreams in the morning, but they definitely had them... unless they didn’t sleep. The world of dreams is existent, with something of an impassable wall around each infinitely sized dream. There are spirits who can travel through this wall, beyond it, who can subtly alter the dreams within, who know themselves as the dream gods. But then, one day, something went horribly wrong. The impassable walls disappeared, and one dream melded into another melded into another until it formed a true world, infinite in size and created by many people at once. The people whose dreams were thrown in upheaval are confused, they are no longer the masters of their dreams, nor are they as powerful as they were before. In fact, they even forget that they had a life in another world. They wander about in the Dream World, and when they go to sleep there, they wake up in the real world… and so they refer to the real world as the dream world there. And nobody realizes they are all dreaming the same dream, because they only remember vaguely what the other world is, and… the dream world appearance is quite different from the real world… NOTE: This RP was copied and pasted from an old, dead one in Barton Town (Gaia's public RP forum). 2.Setting:There are two worlds, so I will explain them differently. The real world is a simplistic modern setting, pretty much like the real real world; there are only humans and the normal creatures there, but the dream gods can appear as so-called 'ghosts'. The dream world is a medieval/feudal-timed fantasy setting, with the possiblity of only faulty primitive guns; there can be anything there, as real people or as 'fakes', those created in dreams before the world was adjoined by real people who now seem to actually exist. Both the real people and the 'fakes' awaken as the RP begins in the dream world with absolutely no memory except for their names and what they are, and possibly a knowledge of their powers. Also, the initial placement of beings in the dream world is based on who knows who in the real world, rather than geographically of the real world. Meanwhile, the dream gods remember everything, they know what has happened but are now trying to find out just how, and why.The main enemies in the dream world are the Nightmares. Here is an accurate IC description of a nightmare: Xindaris It was at first like simply a rift within the light that was there, a rift of darkness growing and bulging strangely; and then suddenly it was an animal, but like no animal he had ever seen. It appeared to have four legs from the upper part of the body, but as they went down they appeared to grow thousands of vines forth from them, pitch-black vines covered in thorns. And it had some kind of fur, but it was not fur, it was skin, and it was scales, and its form within the exterior was the very color, the very essence of darkness, fear, and despair; if it were possible, it emanated darkness as the sun emanated light. It was gargantuan in size. He knew, without knowing, what it was... A Nightmare... Keep in mind, however, the nightmares are of varying degrees of power and this one is actually right in the middle.

3.Character application forms:Character types:1. “Real” People: those who exist in both worlds: when they fall asleep in one they wake up in the other. 2. “Dream Gods”: actually spirits, they are able to create a projection of themselves in any world: in the real world, they only appear as phantoms or untouchable, nearly transluscent images of people; in the dream world, their projections are as real or unreal as they want them to be. They are extremely powerful within dreams, to a point, being "dream gods" as they are. 3. “Fakes”: those who exist only in the dream world, after being created by real people or dream gods before the dream world went insane, they remain. They are the only ones who do not dream at night. But what are they? Do they truly exist at all??? Note: If a dream god’s projection in the dream world dies, it doesn’t affect them; dream gods, being considered already dead, are unable to die but they can be pushed out of existence if they overuse their power; if a real person dies in the dream world, they wake up in the real world and when they go to sleep again awaken as an entirely different person; if they die in the real world, then, well, they’re dead, but it may be possible for them to exist as a dream god. 4.Rules:
1.Obey Gaia's rules.
2.Obey this guild's rules.
3.No godmodding. There are many definitions of the word, but this is the one I choose: Raising one's self or one's character to the status of a god in the world of the roleplay, thereby giving one's self or one's character the ability to do absolutely anything, including using other people's characters as if it were one's own and assuming that one's character always hits with an attack, etc. no matter what.
4.PM all applications to me, Xindaris, and await a reply of approval before RPing.
5.To prove you read these rules, put the code symbols #%%$ somewhere in your PM.
6.You are allowed to have up to three different characters, with the condition that at most two of them may be "real", and at most one of them may be a "dream god."
7.You are not required to be superliterate, or to have a certain number of lines/words/phrases/sentences/paragraphs per post, but please, be literate enough to use something different to indicate talking, something else for thoughts, and not to indicate actions with *s, for heaven's sakes...
I, Xindaris, reserve the right to change, edit, add to, remove from, or entirely decapitate these rules at any given time.

On the other side of the coin, though, he is an extremely friendly and well-known personality online, under the general screenname "Sartnis". TABHistory:Ethan is the youngest of three siblings, and has always been an outcast socially at school; he seems not to mind that, in fact even seems to enjoy it. Kiaria, too, woke up. She blinked a few times, then slowly opened her eyes. Her head darted from side to side, and she found that she was in a forest of some sort... "Wha... how did I get here?" she asked, realising she was in a tree. She didn't notice this, until she tried to get up and fell out of it, landing with a loud thud on the ground.

Ersantis heard someone else, and realized his ears were moving. He felt one of them with a hand and walked over toward where he'd heard a thud. "Hello?" he said, seeing the person. She'd fallen over, so he extended his hand and bent a bit to help her up. He realized he had a tail, as well, and was balancing better than...? Well, he wasn't sure what, but he was balancing well.
