Ok, so, Avatar cosplay is amazing. (-points to self-) But, I was sad when I noticed that we didn't have a thread for actual cosplay!
Or...if we did I'm stupid and missed it entirely!
Anyway...I'm going to Anime Boston in two weeks, WOOT, and I've finally been able to take pictures of stuff I've got done on my Fay costume!! I'm pumped, I'm so close to being done it's ridiculous. I might even have time to do the coat...I doubt it but, hey, miracles happen sometimes. Haha.
The Shoe!
So, this is one of two shoes I'll be wearing. It's next to the black paint cause their my mom's old black shoes that she wore to work. As a preschool teacher, nothing stays it's proper color for long, and so there was a random purple dot on them...I had to fix it.
The Shirt!
Guess what! I learned how to sew today. It was fun, and I didn't suck. n_n Anyway, this is the very, very, very unfinished shirt. I'm actually laughing like intense in this picture, because the friend who was taking it told me to turn myself at an angle, so I like, leaned over like you would while doing stretches instead of turning my whole body at an angle. Kind of funny...
The Pocket on the Pants!
So, I took a picture of the bum pocket on these pants, because the design is conveniently Fay...end of story...
The Pants!
These are the pants. I bought them. They say industrial cotton on them.
The Gloves!
They're long...and kind of itchy...They're going to attach to my shirt with velcro!
The Clasp!
This is one of the unfinished clasps. I used two layers of cardboard, and I basecoated them with white paint today.
The Belts!
These are Fay's shirt belt things that the clasps will go with...lol. They're finished! Haha, I bought them that way. I need to attach the clasps to them and sew them onto the shirt, but the shirt needs to be finished first.
You can see my pocketbook in this pic. It's pretending to be a coach and has three donut keychains, haha cuuuuuttte.
I friggin' hate this staff.
Ok, now, I want to see more people's cosplay. Please feel free to show me up with your amazing cosplay skills of amazing!!

If I ever end up doing a CLAMP cosplay I'll be sure to post a pic for you guys. So far I've only done a few cosplays and none of them were CLAMP. I've done a few for Halloween (Kione from Tenchi Muyo and Sai Saici from G Gundam - no pictures) and one for Otakon (Aion from Chrono Crusade - image in Snapshots thread) and this year I'll be doing another for Otakon (Kougaiji from Saiyuki - no images yet) but so far no CLAMP cosplay. Maybe there'll be an xxxHoLic or Tsubasa badge at Otakon this year and I'll get it. (We decide the next years cosplay by what badge I wore at the con the year before.)
PS: Great thread idea Yuko-san.

I've never cosplayed before.Though I'd love to cosplay as Rinoa (FF cool or Lackus (Gundam Seed)
But if I could do a cosplay I'd be...Tomoyo from CCS. Yeah...

I've only cosplayed as Hermione Granger and Alice from McGee's Alice (a.k.a. the creepy, murderous Alice), but I've never done CLAMP. I hope to one day, though. =D Something easier, though - maybe a Piffle World costume, so I can use it in real life. ^_^

I uploaded a picture of staff version 1.0 to my first post...the staff gets its own post, cause I'm wicked pissed off at it.
This is my friend who you will know as J posing with my staff, which is no longer. So I guess this is Fay's staff version 1.0
Alright, so the top is way more intricate than it looks in the pic. I melted the styrofoam and everything, and it was hardcore. And then the paint happened...the paint sucked and weakened the whole structure of the styrofoam, which wasn't that strong to begin with...
And then the breaks began happening. And dilong was like, look, crazy glue! and I was like sweet, this stuff makes hands stick together! it will CERTAINLY glue styrofoam together!
no.
so, then I broke out the hot glue gun, and put the hot glue on top of the crazy glue.
My friend's mom says that heating the contents of crazy glue, ethyl cyanacrylate, creates a cyanide like poison. Yeaaaaaah, good job on my part.
So, an intense burst of woah came and attacked me. I seriously like threw myself away from the scene and clamped my hands over my mouth and nose, which were like BURNING!
LIKE SERIOUSLY.
the back of my throat is all scratchy and stuff now. Scary stuff.
so, then bennet accidentally kicked the end of it, breaking the bottom, and so I was like, OK, I'm done.
and that night I was perusing new methods to create a staff and cardboard was the most popular way, and I was like...where am I going to get massive amounts of cardboard...?
and then my mom and dad were like NEW TV! and I was like OMG! BOX!
And so, a new staff is being borned.

Faikitty-I'm better! Like, my throat has even stopped being like -rampage-
But, it was definitely a sad story. Staff version 2.0 is chilling upstairs underneath books to press it flat. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow when it's pretty, haha. I think I'll post pictures from my friend's Kuro-tan cosplay as well. His stuff is wicked amazing.

Almost poisoning yourself, geez, that's something I would do.
At any rate, your costume is coming along marvelous!! And, I would love to see the Kurogane stuff. CLAMP people must be so hard to cosplay...
