Lets get some serious debate going with a hot topic.

All right, we all know it happens. Women have abortions. Personally, I'm pro-choice and I'm sick of getting pro-life forwards in my inbox. I don't care. There are a ton of reasons why I favor abortion, but I don't have a lot of time to get into it right now.

Where do you stand on the topic and why?

I am pro abortion.

Mistakes are made every day. True this is a very big mistake but can still be rectified 'fore it becomes a burden on its surrounding environment.

I detest in human reproduction. With less human life on the planet the better. I'm not saying that human should die but at least move away from the planet.

I will become anti abortion once we have another place to relocate most of the human from this planet.

Now that I have a little time, I'd like the chance to explain why I'm, as they call it, pro-choice.

First of all, there are plenty of medical reasons why abortion may be the best option. For example, the infant that would only live a short, but extremely painful time; life long disabilities; braindead; mother will be killed. Yes, I know sometimes the child is born normal, despite what the doctors believe. Yes, I know that sometimes parents can cope with disabilities. My own baby sister was born with a disabilitating disease and the doctors DIDN'T catch it. She's a wonderful, brillant little girl, but only from the effort of my step mother and being financially able to go through with proper medical proceedures. Not everyone is capable of the things my step-mother is. You shouldn't force people into a situation they can't handle.

Which brings me to my second point. Teenage mothers. There is the option of adoption, yes. There's a chance at support from family sometimes. But overall, it causes a lot of problems for the mothers. For one, keeping them tied down to the child, so it's hard to become financially stable. I know it might sound odd, but how is the mother supposed to feed the child if she can't afford food? We don't want a ton of people on Welfare just because we forced them into motherhood. My own mother was eighteen when she had me, but my grandparents were very helpful, so she had a chance to go to college, until she became pregnant with my sister. Now she cleans houses and lives off her boyfriend. Not the best living. I love my mom, but I'm sure every now and again she wishes she could have had more.

Third point: Rape. It happens. And sometimes women get pregnant from it. Can you imagine what that's like? Having a constant living reminder of what happened to you? Yes, again, adoption is an option, but not everyone knows what to do for that and it's not exactly something we teach.

And my last point, if someone wants to get rid of a child, they can do it. Saying no to abortion is like saying yes to coathangers folks. I know its a gruesome image, but it happens, and a lot of times it can result in the death of the would-be mother. Abortions have been going on for ages, but only recently have we found a clean, careful way to do it.

Abortion isn't an easy decision, and its one the would-be mother has to live with her entire life, but at least she can go on without bringing another life into society before she is ready. After all, think about the criminals we have in society and how many times we wonder "Why didn't the parents do something?" Let's not force people into something before they're ready, so we don't have to hold their hand the entire way through.

i'm fell aganist abortion. Women wouldn't have do it in the first place, if in the end they would chose abortion. They should at lest have used some form or protection. abortion in a way kills the baby sometimes. I'm full set aganist it

Pro-Choice here. If you really I mean really care about Pro-Life, why arn't you adopting those children then. Some people think they are SO self rightous and crap, but I don't see them making a difference.

Are they giving to shelters?
Are they supporting the unwed mothers?
Are they donating money and time to the welfare of those children?
Are they volunteering to become a foster parent for those unwanted children?
Are they sitting on the couch nodding there heads at Pro-Life?

They are mostly doing the last thing I posted. Before you think you know what its is like being an unwanted child, walk in their shoes.

I'm all for it, but only during certain situations:

1. If the victim was raped

2. If having the child has some sort of disorder or condition that would impair him too badly to do most things normally, or if having the child would risk death for ethier the mother or the child itself.

Otherwise, you should have the freaking child. For teen mothers, they shouldn't deserve it, unless they follow under the two exceptions above. They screwed up their life, and they need to pay the price.

However, that being said, I think the goverment needs to improve on helping teen and/or single mothers, and make sure the man responsible pays as well.
