The hospital is not the largest but decently sized for the village. The excellent staff can organize and heal patients so quickly that it takes most people longer to travel to the hospital than it does to take care of them.

Kenji followed closely alongside Haruko as she brought him into the village, past the gates and into the town's center. It was not his first time in another village, but for someone who had spent his whole life living among the forest, in between tree tops and over rivers...a village was still a strange place to him. It lacked the serene beauty that nature had to offer and the quiet peacefulness, but it was bustling with energy and life in a way that his hometown never showed. As he was led through the village, he was careful to make a mental map so as not to get lost if he had to navigate around on his own.

...coming to the hospital, it seemed normal enough, compared to other buildings of the type, yet starkly different to the establishment of his home. He trusted Haruko however to show him the way and show him who he was suppose to speak to about being treated. "This is a wonderful village so far. I am still a little uncomfortable with so many people around, and being outside the forest, but I suppose it will have to be something I will have to get used to. Please lead on."

"Medical History?" ...the concept automatically confused Kenji, and it was compounded by the fact that he had been told to write it down. He took the pen in hand and then at the paper again and then up to Haruko all with the same expression...a blank stare. He then smiled to Haruko, cocking his head slightly before handing her the pen back. "I think it might be best if I just talk to someone. Back home we just asked for help and it was given to us...I don't think I'd be able to answer anything on this...ummm...whatever this is. I'll just go talk to a healer."

Turning around calmly, Kenji walked into the hallway where he saw various people moving there and about, poking his head around corners and looking for people before finding someone with a mask on telling someone else to go get something for them. naturally assuming this person to be one of authority, Kenji walked up to him and bowed. Greetings kind Sir, you wouldn't happen to know where I could go to treat my wound would you?"

"Huh?...", the man responded, looking rather caught off guard by the question..."Oh the doctor...ummm, well, there should be one in that room over there, excuse me." without anything else besides pointing towards the room (which happened to be the same as the one Haruko was to be directed to), he walked off. Kenji could see that he was very busy, so he took no offense to it. This building, along with the rest of the village seemed to be very active and people were on a schedule, with things to do and places to go...a concept that kenji had never really truly experienced in his life before.

Shrugging yet another strange experience off, Kenji walked into the room where he was glad to find a woman who was on standby to treat people. Bowing deeply, he walked into the room and explained his injury..."Yes hello, my name is Kenji, it is an honor to meet you. My friend brought me here, see, I'm new to this village. Well, we were having a bit of a contest outside in the field and---" "Relax hun...just take a seat, and tell me where you were injured." "Oh...okay." Kenji looked around for a chair, or a mat or something, but all he could find was a low table. He continued to look confused for a second before the woman patted the padded table to signal where he should go..."Ah...yes, thank you.' Jumping up on the table, he began to explain again..."Well, I had scrapes on my cheeks, a rather sizeable hole in my right hand, a large gash on my lower leg as well...though, I'm not sure you can see them, they were mostly healed by the person who caused the injuries. she is a medical Genin, but she said I should come here anyways."

Just then, in a strange turn of events, Haruko opened the door to the room she was told to go to and instead of seeing an empty room with a waiting doctor, she saw Kenji and the woman who had started to finish healing the wound on his hand...

"Oh hi Haruko." he said as he cocked his head and smiled at her..."I was just talking about you."

"Of course, though I must say things were certainly easier where I came from. You would walk in the door and normally you'd be the only person there, well, besides the healer of course. No medical History, no writing...just plain and simple. I suppose my ways must seem rather unsophisticated for most, but they work for us i suppose." After finishing up with his hand and closing up the wound in all the areas Haruko was not easily able to reach, the doctor moved to his lower leg and healed that up quickly as well.

"Alright, looks like you are all patched up!...I didn't see any wounds on your cheek, so I guess they must have been fully healed. Now on to you young lady." the doctor moved over to Haruko and then immediately began treating her.

"So Haruko, will you be doing some research of your own in the library?...I would hate to keep you somewhere you didn't want to be only on my account. that is unless of course you enjoy studying. what is it you do for enjoyment here when you aren't training?"

"Not at all. I enjoy reading texts of history myself. I find that you can learn the most about a people by reading about their past and understanding where they had come from. I always found it unfortunate however how the archives of my village never had any scrolls of text from before we resided in the forests. I had always wanted to know what life was like on the outside, and where we had come from, but alas, no one ever knew."

..."Either way, there's nothing to be embarrassed about in enjoying to read. It's a much more worthy pass time then what a lot of other people do if you ask me. Also, if it is like Kyoma said, and that there are scrolls which keep the abilities of this village, it would be very interesting to learn some new techniques as well. One must constantly be seeking to improve themselves, wouldn't you agree?

"Oh, well studying has always been a great passion of mine. I sometimes like nothing better then to wash up and sit with ancient scrolls and texts, reading of how things were and where we've come from. Learning new techniques and abilities is always enjoyable as well...pouring through the texts and seeing what I may want to train next."

Kenji continued on, his eyes becoming fixed, staring off into nothingness, still with a smile on his face, but clearly with his mind somewhere else..."Aside from that, when I was home I would often take walks through the forest, commune with the trees and the rivers, grow to know them better. I always found it relaxing to just sit in a tree's branches, close my eyes and connect with the forest. That is probably what I miss most."

suddenly snapping out of it, Kenji looked back to haruko and smiled again, "We should probably hurry on to Kyoma soon shouldn't we?"

After a few minutes, Haruko and Rei reached the hospital and Haruko proceeded to take Oki from Rei's back. Haruko placed Oki's left hand over her shoulders and her own right hand on the petit girl's waist. Haruko stepped into the hospital with Oki and walked over to the counter. "Good evening, I need this girl checked out for any internal damage." The receptionist looked up from her paperwork and stared at the girl leaning on Haruko, "Oh my, what happened Haruko-san, the receptionist stepped around the counter and motioned for a nurse to bring over a wheelchair." Haruko assisted the nurse in placing Oki onto the wheelchair. "We were having a little spar by the barrier river when she fell into the river." The nurse nodded and rolled Oki into a medical room to be checked. After saying goodbye to the receptionist, Haruko exited the hospital and flew back to the common house on Rei.
