Is anyone else here interested in Folk music?
If so, do any of you know of some good Folk bands or artists with anarchist or similar ideologies, that are apparent in their music?
I'm talking more Bob Dylan, not Ghost mice. I love Ghost mice and the like, but I'm trying to find more classic folk style music.

Aside from Defiance, Ohio, and early Against Me!, I don't know many anarchist folk bands.
But I do like Fake Problems, they aren't anarchists [that I'm aware of] but I enjoy their music, and they are folk-ish sounding.

Goverment Operated Puppet Aside from Defiance, Ohio, and early Against Me!, I don't know many anarchist folk bands. But I do like Fake Problems, they aren't anarchists [that I'm aware of] but I enjoy their music, and they are folk-ish sounding. yeah I know of all those (and love them) But that's really more all part of the Folk Punk, i was looking for more straight up folk. Also, if you like those, check out: Armed Metropolis, Slug's Revenge, Underhanded Gestures, Gainesville Liberation Front(communists), Eat This McKinley, captain, my captain, Mischief Brew, Spinnaker, Bombs And Beating Hearts, Whiskey Smile, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb. I live in Tampa, Fl, so I'm close to Gainesville, which is practically the epicenter of folk punk, plus, my best friend moved here from Gainesville, and she knows alot of folk punk bands. (she's the one who got me into folk punk)

That's bullshit, schools will teach you how democracy and America is great, and brainwash God into you with the pledge of allegiance (although now you don't have to say it, and I'm glad) but they won't let you know about organizing to protest unfair worker's rights and how it's actually not your land, it's the government's.

If you guys like the music I would suggest seeing if they are playing in your area, give them a donation if you want because they don't really run off of anything else but donations.
