I finally told someone IRL that I'm a vampire yesterday! She's my friend, and I'd been telling her about psi/sangs for a while. Yesterday, I showed her a poem that I wrote about my awakening. She got it. She's on Gaia, actually. Her name is AmayaRavenChild. 3nodding
Anyway, how has everyone else handled telling friends or family members? Has anyone "come out" completely?

alot of people at my school know because I have either told them or they have seen my website. Thats the thng about my town, it may be getto but its openminded. Lol and Glad to see the world's started using my kittisiums

I've been "out of the coffin" towards my friends for a while now... I just recently told one of my friends that I hadn't told before...
But good for you Nienna... It's good to tell people about you... They won't really know you until you do. Heh...

heheh the friends I had before, well it was really easy to do because we were all somethign. So that was eeasy. As for telling nayone else. I can't do that for some rather... well lets just say I cant tell some people... sweatdrop

All my life I moved around a lot, so when it comes to telling people, I'm really picky on who I tell or I don't tell people at all. Only a few of my close friends know what I really am... Though there are times when I'm with friends and I do things that just catches peoples attention. Its usually enough to make people ask, "How'd you do that...?". One just can't hold back what they really are I guess wink

Our kind's sometimes overwhelming desire to be known. (sorry for the pop culture reference. I know some of you hate that. sweatdrop ) My friend seems really interested in it all! I'm going to show her VK's site and talk to her about it. I'm so glad that I told her. 3nodding whee It just feels like a load has been lifted off of my shoulders. smile

I haven’t told anyone. They are a little close minded and even though I have tried to explain that vampires are real and that they are not the mythical things they now and love, but alas they just look at me funny and say “ahh that’s so cute jay, wake up now” or some other sarcastic remark (we adore sarcasm) I just need to find people who would believe it and be accepting I don’t think I know any people like that.

Yah I would love to tell my best friend in san jose - biggrin blaugh going there on Thursday yippy surprised xd - but I am afraid how she would react and other things. It’s just a little nerve racking.

Been awakened for 9 years now. Learned about it from my family bible. But I have been really afraid to tell anyone about me being a vampire, also cause i have never told anyone that I was almost staked because of this. I told a freind, and while i was sleeping over at their house, they tried to stake me in my sleep. What is up with this world and no one really understanding what we are and that we are not evil.

I don't tell people very often. Too many hunters around here. I did however, run into a demonkin who could tell what i was, and I told my dhampir boyfriend... oh, and my "guardian," who kinda trains me in a lot of spiritual stuff...
I only let people know if they're also some kind of otherkin or have ties to the "supernatural"

I've never been able to anyone I know that I'm psi...
I had a friend I planned to tell this year, she was into the occult so I hoped that she'd understand, but the workload at our school was too much for her and she dropped out...
I guess I'll keep it to myself for a while...
