Birthday: 1970-05-30 Hometown: Los Angeles, CA Education: Self-taught arrow
“What I hope to create are clothes for those who relate to freedom, rebellion, creation, and self-expression. What it might look like if the world were dressed in slightly mind-bending colors and shapes, smartly designed prêt-a-porter and then experienced an apocalypse.”
“Music is in my blood, as well as art and fashion,” says Jeffrey Sebelia, 36, the founder and designer behind clothing label Cosa Nostra. At age 16, Jeff left home to live in a garage with his punk band where he fell into a life of music, art and fast times, all supported by a mild criminal habit. It was, according to Jeff, “A lifestyle of freedom, rebellion and self-expression. Working for little money and ‘trade.’ ”
Jeff finally began to focus, market, and legitimize his love for art and fashion when Interscope records discovered his band, LIFTER, and signed them for six years beginning in the early nineties and ultimately Cosa Nostra was born. The label has a long line of celebrity clientele, including Gwen Stefani, Billy Bob Thornton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more. Cosa Nostra is sold exclusively at limited high-end designer stores such as Maxfield in Los Angeles, BNY in Santa Monica, Patch in St. Tropez and Harvey Nichols in London and Hong Kong.
“I’ve grown to love fashion, namely John Galliano, Comme Des Garcons, Vivienne Westwood, Ann Demeulemeester, Junya Watanabe, Rick Owens, and Yohji Yamamoto,” says Jeffrey, but it was watching his friend Santino that inspired him to try out for season three. He says, “It seemed fun and challenging.” Jeffrey currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

What did everyone think about the whole angela's mom thing.
i honestly think jeff's mom said it the best in it that every mom sister or relative was there to help the designers, i'm sure there were other people who didn't like what they were wearing but they played it off like they did. and i personally think her mom overreacted

I think she did kind of overreact, but Jeff did a bad job on her outfit. I guess it's just a lack of communication which made the whole situation go awol.
Other than that, I loved his final collection. I would wear most of them (except the Uli clone dress or that mini blue thing). heart domokun

It struck me as uber punk, which made me love him anyway...that said, I thought it unfair that he won after he had already busted in on the fashion world...

Well Jeffrey's Jeffrey. Love him or hate him. I love him but I really think with him you're either one way or the other. I loved the hard rock edginess he brought, plus I kind of have a thing for guys with tatoos. Oh and I loved all of his pieces, at least the ones that were really him.

I love Jeffrey! His collection was ******** amazing, I was so shocked when I saw it all, it was brilliant. He's a great musician too. Darlene was way too sensitive about it all, and what Laura said in the Reunion special was right, most moms were helping the designers, but she was just being a real b***h about all of it :/

Jeffrey was okay. After winning, he really hasn't done much. I have heard that a lot of people in the industry does not want to work with him because of his attitude. His clothes were cool. He did a really really good job with the newspaper dress. But I can't see myself wearing any of his clothes.
