Yes there is of course a food contest to celebrate all of the new things that are in season this wonderful time of year. Not only are there pie eating contests [xD], but there is watermelon ones, ones with ice cream, and ones who get a brain first FIRST. For those who are risky of course though xD. Also there are a few contests on what you can make, or grow, so if you don't want to eat but love to cook, then come here too! Just be sure to not have a full appite, because yet again we are trying to promate our school and vendors are selling items for your eating pleasure...with our logo.

Harumi glanced over her shoulder towards Aris, then headed off towards the beach. She walked -or rather, skipped- along, humming under her breath, until she finally arrived. Or, she thought she arrived. She peered around, and found herself facing booth after booth of food. For a moment she simply stared, then slowly turned and faced Aris, a broad, chlidish grin upon her face. "Found the food," she announced with a laugh.

Rolling after her he would find it a tad hard from the sand that had been caught up in his blades. Nearly tripping a few times he soimehow managed to keep up. Finally he would roll in behind her panting somewhat as he didn't realize how much harder it would be to move about with sand in the ball bearings....oh come on like you'd know that. "Oh really?",he asked as he suddenyl straightened himself. With a hand on his chin a devious smile would appear on his face as he moved ahead of hana and would roll into the cooking area. "Let's make some food!",he declared as he spread his arms about to the rather well equiped kitchen before him. IN truth whether he did know how to cook was a mystery....

Harumi blinked, suddenly noticing he was panting. Her head tilted curiously as she eyed the skates, but he recovered quickly enough, trying a pose and shouting a declaration. She grinned, clapping her hands together in ancticipation. "Ok!" she agreed almost instantly. Though, if she could cook or not was also a mystery. She looked pretty confident at the moment though, as she turned and stared towards the kitchen that'd somehow been set up. "That one?" she asked, pointing to it, and wondering to herself if ingredients were included. Because she certainly wasn't lugging around a jug of milk, of a carton of eggs with herself.

He would merely nod at her question as he rolled about with that grainy sound still in the air. Simply ignoring it he would make his way to the fridge and yank it open with gutso. "Ooohhh fooodd",he said with a smirk as he searched about the contents of the fridge for some ingredients for something yummy. "Let's make a cake",he said a devious smile as he pulled out a carton of eggs, some milk, strawberries, and well he wasn't sure what else. "Wht else do we need?",he asked her as he balanced them all in one hand before finally setting them down on the nearby counter. Slipping off his jacket he would place it somewhere safe as the sound of multiple metal things hitting each other could be heard as heset it down."Flour!",he said brightening up as he began to raid th epantry.

"Fooood?" Harumi echoed, trailing after him and into the kitchen. She peered over his shoulder and into the fridge, relieved to see they weren't expected to bring their own stuff. That'd just be silly, after all. She grinned to herself as she withdrew, getting out of Aris' way while he unloaded a few ingredients. "...is there water in cakes? And salt and sugar maybe?" She blinked, then turned and while he raided the pantry, began rummaging through the cabinets for a cookbook. She didn't miss the metal clanking from his jacket though, and froze to stare at it for a few second, before continuing her search.

With flour in hand he would grab some vanila as well, and something that had to do with icing. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but it had icing on it so that had to be right...right? "Salt, and sugar?",he reoeated as he reached for them as well as that pile in grew a tad bigger. With everything in hand he would move to lay it with the rest of the ingredients that he had gathered so for. "Can we make a strawberry cake?",he asked pouting slightly at her as a whiny tone played on his words. Of course he was playing with her, but he did want to make a strawberry cake....Noticing her search he would merely wait as he watched her. "Did you find the book?",he asked curiously.

Harumi was a little short, standing on her toes and stretching upwards towards the cabinets. She rooted around a bit, and finally emerged with a book in hand. As she awkwardly tugged it down, reaching with just fingertips, it started to tilt more and more towards her, until it suddenly fell, landing with a thump atop her head. The girl let out a shriek, then pouted as she clutched her head with both hands, eying the book with a sulky glare. But then she sighed, reached down to pick it up, and set it on the counter with another thump. "Strawberry's fine," she mumbled, still sulking as she rubbed her head.

At the sound of dull "Thunk" his head would turn as he found Harumi clutching the top of her head, and a book somewhat nearby. Guessing at what had happened hestifled a chuckle as he found it rather asmusing. Tocover his clear amusement with what had happened he would merely smirk at her lightly. "Want me to kiss it better?",he kidded her as propped himself on an arm and leaned on the counter. Still he would just absent mindedly glance at the book, and wonder how the cake would turn out at the end of this :3

Harumi pouted, glancing towards Aris at the offer. "...I'm fine," she mumbled. "Besides, that doesn't even work!" She rubbed her head one last time, then wandered towards the counter, peering at the book. If she was hurt badly enough, she could always heal herself. But, this wasn't worth the effort it'd require. She sighed, and then opened the book, flipping through the index, finding a page with a strawberry cake, and turning to it. "Here we go.."

Aris would merely shrug at her response at turned about once more as he leaned over the counter to look at the book. It seemed reccent, which had to be a good sign....right? Still he would read off the list as she found the page, and noted that they had mostly everything they needed, didn't they? "It says we need some bowls, and stuff...",he commented as he let his words trail off before pushing off the counter. Wandering about he would bend done, and whip open a door, as he discovered the store of cooking equipment it held. Pulling out all that was needed he would bring them to where everything else was as well before turning to her. "So what's next?",he asked curiously.

Harumi glanced over the page, then towards Aris a moment later. A bowl. Yeah. And also... While he looked for that, she returned to rooting around the cabinets, finding a measuring cup pretty quickly. This time, she sucessfully grabbed it without allowing it to crash down upon her head. She rejoined Aris by the counter and set the cup beside the bowl, once more reading over the book. "Start putting stuff in," she replied, and wandered towards the oven, setting it to start pre-heating.

"Putting stuff in? Okie",he replied as he moved the bowl before himself and would start looking through the ingredients. By pure guessing alone he would start off by pouring some of the flour in of course as he had seen on oh so many television shows. Next he would crack the eggs over the bowl, and allow them to go in as well, also seen on t.v. Finally he would pour some water in, and began to stir, and stir as he would put in some vanilla as well. He was just trying to be right, but who knew he might just get it."Am I doing it right?",he asked her as the book was closest to her.

Harumi set the oven and watched it for a moment, before deciding she had it right. Then she wandered back towards Aris, blinking at the question. "Um, are you measuring?" she asked uncertainly, inching up to his side and peering into the bowl. She wrinkled her nose slightly, but didn't see anything wrong, so she nodded her head lightly. "I guess so," she shrugged. The only real way to know, she guessed, would be tasting it after it was done.
