Lately I have found TV to be boring. Comedies are cheesey, dramas are over done, crime shows are just scary. Woohoo more time to play Gaia!!

tv is boring. if you have a favorite show it is most likely that you have already watched all the episodes already or it is no longer on the air. i watch one show "heroes" which is off the air right now til goodness knows when becuause of the new season. thats about it. it sad. so mmorpg's take up the rest of my time.

I enjoy "Monk" and "Numbers" a lot and the original "Law & Order" as well, but I prerecord my shows and watch them while I excercise on my Nordic trak 3 times a week - I wonder if I would find more shows I liked if I exercised more (grin)

Well I have found a few TV shows that I like. The ones I watch are Monk, Psych, Heroes, Smallville, Close to home (I like Jennifer Finnigan) CSI and 2 and a half men. I think there are a few more but these are the ones I remember the most. mrgreen

It gives me the excuse to watch because I am still "doing something useful" if that makes sense. I have a hard time just sitting still most of the time because there is always 101 things to do (grin) I have actually finished 14 afghans while in hospital waiting rooms while members of my family and extended family have been ill enough to be there or while waiting in the surgery waiting rooms. I found I couldn't keep track of what I was reading while I was so worried about everything that was going on.

I like comedy and cheese, so I vote for cheesey comedies - though in reality I hardly watch TV any more.

Actually we don't have satelite, or cable, so I don't have much to miss. Mostly I miss The Simpsons.

Hey Chippy! Glad to see ya back here. But yeah, the only shows I watch are mostly about fantastic or sci-fi stuff. I rarely watch a show based on reality except when I like either an actress or a character. Examples of this are Jennifer Finnigan (close to Home) and Monk (I like the character for some reason, he's just funny as heck). Has anyone seen any of these?

I would like to have my life as a TV Movie. 3nodding Most modern TV shows really are stupid, but you know, the peoples lives are usually comfortable 24/7, they have problems to deal with, but nothing that majorly changed their life during the show.
Wait, this is only true for American TV. But even with that, I don't care for it for that reason. I like how people in TV in America always seem to have the perfect school, a decent sized home, and at least one or two good friends. But even then it's cliche, and crap.
I personally just wish that I had a swimming pool in a school. emo
Does this question involve TV movies? Like epic journeys like Star Wars? Even if it doesn't, I sort of like to live my life like that in real life.
Over all I'd choose real life, even with problems and imperfectness, I'd go nuts in a show like that. xP
