Finally, the long awaited release, the first since June 2006's Kogoeru Yoru ni Saita Hana single, Squall is here.

I love Squall. whee
Squall the single was different from D'espa's normal sound. But, they managed to pull it off amazingly. Desert seemed like another regular screamy D'espairRay song. Which is good. Screen is just...amazing. Hizumi's vocals are the focal point in it, and I just love it.

Squall the single was different from D'espa's normal sound. But, they managed to pull it off amazingly. Desert seemed like another regular screamy D'espairRay song. Which is good. Screen is just...amazing. Hizumi's vocals are the focal point in it, and I just love it. I fully agree. This single did stray slightly from their usual style, but I think it turned out fantastically! Screen is hauntingly beautiful, rivaling that of Kyo (Dir en Grey), and Desert is pure joy! Squall is probably the greater deviation from their style out of the three songs, but it is still really good.

I have yet to see the PV for Squall... Every file for it that I have found is a 30-some MB AVI file and some AVI files don't work on my ancient computer... no worries though because I'm getting a laptp in about a month

Youtube doesn't work on my computer. Our computer is so old it only works with up to flash 6 or 7. In about a month though I'll have a laptop of my own and I'll be able to watch anything and everything.

I Love Squall its actually one of the first D'espairs Ray songs i have heard (ya i just got into them recently >.<) but i Love it along with their other music i agree it is a very different approach for D'espairs Ray it is quite different from their other music but they pulled it off beautifully and with Squall you can really hear how beautiful (and sexy lol) hizumi's voice is. As far as the songs go I love Squall and Desert is a GREAT song, Screen is just AMAZING i almost got chills listening to it rofl xd btw new member, thanks for accepting my request! I definitely say I do prefer the Squall single to Kogoeru Yoru ni Saita Hana...
I don't really think it's up to their potential as exhibitted in the past, but I do absolutely love Screen and Desert

Screen...ah, what can I say about screen...hm, something like, it gave me the shivers the first time I heard it. All the members work so well with each other...I'm surprised they aren't more famous by now :/. Hizumi's vocals are extremely entrancing in this song. I always love it when they add small electronic elements to their songs.
Love Dessert and Screen, however, the track Squall just didn't tickle my fancy. Don't get me wrong, it's not like it's terrible or anything, I just don't care for it nearly as much as the other two. And I don't know what it is about it, but the PV sort of bored me as well. I do however like that they tried to step out of their normal style, and did it pretty well. Impressive, no? Now, if you'll excuse me...
