Shane's Last Will Description: He wore a blood-red top hat, and tipped it politely to everyone he met. Prologue (The Memories of Myself)
"Should I really try to reiterate everything that I have remembered? Some of it is unpleasant, to say the least....But then again, all of these fragments make me believe that at one time, humanity existed within me. Not that I am an 'empty shell' by any means. No, the severe depression following my not-very-traumatic death was short-lived. Why would I wish to remain a recluse when the blessing of a second chance has been offered?
Do I deserve a second chance, after what I have done? Yet have I to know the exact nature of my 'crime,' but there really isn't any other logical explanation for this guilt and regret. So, logically, I must have done something terrible; there is no use dwelling on it, or I really will go mad.
Now, as to what I have recalled thus far...."

Chapter I - Vivification (The Awakening)
What does one really remember about their former existence? I call it an 'existence' (over what most would term their 'life') because the 'living' are really no different from what we are here, in our beautiful Unknown. Minus the tails instead of legs, of course. And the ability to pass through solid objects at will. I suppose that clothing would be a bit different as well...
I digress. The Lady Balatas calls us Ghosts, and yet I find that we are not very much different from what I remember as being human, or what the kind Madame has told me of. I am apparently the newest arrival in a long while, so she was quite ecstatic to have someone to talk to, other than her slightly-questionable...acquaintance. But Balatas tells me that those who end up in this endless world of violet (such a pleasant, soothing color, really) are those who have died, and in most cases, have a reason to regret that they have. This knowledge, plus myself being the newest one to 'Awaken' (as the birth of ghosts in the Unknown is called), makes it seem as though I died some horrible death after living an equally-miserable life.
Though, honestly, at the moment I can't quite say that I was not living a miserable life. Balatas says I will remember whether I did, or not, eventually.
My memories since Awakening....Awakening, date unknown - "I can't say that I remember why I died. Though, obviously, I am dead. Floating around is oddly amusing. I am curious to know more about myself. And to acquire better clothing; I am told, 'All in good time.' How time itself is good, I was never able to comprehend. Such an idiom is especially lost to me here, when time itself is nonexistent."
Awakening, date unknown - "I do not care for this lack of control I have over my small, spectral body. There are times when I can pass through objects, and times when I do not. There is never any pain whenever I happen to be trying to speed through a wall and am not able to, but it certainly is a strange feeling. Having other ghosts pass through oneself is also a very odd sensation...a rush, as though one's blood is singing in exaltation. Pity I do not have any blood...and yet the feeling is familiar. Hm..."
Awakening, date unknown - Familiarity. Things, items of importance, that I recognize...they are becoming ever more clear. Lady Balatas suggests I pursue my memories - a grand idea, a grand adventure! Or is it? My, oh my....

Chapter II - Exhibition (The Revealing)
My memories since the Revealing....Revealing - date unknown - One word comes to my lips as I really begin to remember; Crimson.... Ah, excuse me, but what? My clothes have certainly taken on a very crimson hue...And I've myself a hat. Amusing thing, it is. Though...what is the meaning behind "Crimson"? Perhaps the rest of the phrase will come to me in time.
