 Welcome to The Daily Desire! It's not really daily yet, though; we'll need to bring a few more of my friends into this world first. But at least I'm here, and I've always got Dexter and Sinister for company if nothing else . . . Just some reminders for people new to our little 'game' of sorcery and summoning: 1. Please try to add to your tomes Daily; keeping up with your Desires prevents them from growing stale or feral. Worse, if you don't keep up with things, Veled won't be able to keep track and there's a risk the books might be taken away or destroyed if you stop in mid-summon. 2. If you have no clue what's going on, please head to A Bookstore named Desire to get yourself on track. It's a little pricey, but well worth the efforts. 3. Please be considerate when you're interacting with other writers and Desires. You've gotten this far, you know what proper behavior is.

Advice Column! Curious Customer I'm quite interested although I'm not sure exactly what I'd be writing about...or to..  It depends on your own preferences as well as what you're 'aiming' for. In Veled's case, she seemed to write a lot about two things; Getting ignored on art sites, feeling BAD about it because she felt it was wrong to complain about it on actual forums, as well as a little paranoid that it would invite people to insult/critique her work rather than actually looking at it, and, well . . . her furry works. Namely a lot of Ratchet & Clank stuff (whatever the hell a ''Clank' even is . . . a Ratchet's one of those watch-parts, right?) Of course, She wasn't aiming for me, since it was a lab accident that brought me here, but she just sorta took to using it as a diary/log with a little bit of anger-management. We suspect my extra 'features' were part of her personality — a lot of 'internal' management, and a sense that she felt she always needed to be working. Despite what we charge for pages of form, I think that there are other ways to get the special modifications, in light of my own abilities. Charging for the stuff is more of an insurance policy in that light. We're still testing the constraints of the process. That's what Rhapsody and Arcade are here for. (hopefully they'll speak soon . . . Arcade actually has a mouth, but he seems to be a little too scared to use it.)

 Damn am I glad to have a working set of vocal chords over here! First thing's first, the name's Arcade, and hello all you lucky little writers! We ought to be having a whole lot of interesting stuff happening soon, and rest assured, if it's not happening, I'll make it happen . . . All right, onto the daily grind: Veled's currently looking for a publicist to help get the bookstore some more exposure. She's looking for talented folk with previous experience, and hopefully a lot of connections to network from to boot. There's even talk of a free 'directed summon' involved, so if you have any good friends who know their way around the shops, this is your chance to get them a hell of a deal. Also, Melody's been messing around with a sewing machine lately . . . I'm not sure WHAT she's got up her sleeve, but if it involves ether-treated stuffing, it has to be something big. I've managed to get one of her prototypes out here to show you: Freaky, huh?

All right! All of the tomes are sold out, at least for a little while. And check it out, we sold one of my ponies, too! They look like they'll be a big hit, which is good because with the tomes sold out for now, we want to make sure people at least have something they can purchase so they'll remember to come back. Never tried using 'Wrath' ethers in one of these before, though . . .

Not much happening today, BUT . . . Veled seemed really excited when she saw Stari's Tome earlier. We may be getting close to our first official ether treatment!

Veled: " . . . DAMN IT!" Melody: "What? What's wrong?" Veled: "These proportions are out of whack! I had the cuprous sulfate here measured out to the last . . . who's been in my chemcials?" Melody quickly goes quiet, and Veled twigs it.
Veled: "You're just lucky I still have enough for the reaction."
Melody: "Sorry." Veled: "No, sorry is what Adain's going to be if you messed up her new 'toy'. Now gimme a hand or three with the titration . . ."
