We've all done it from time to time, spilled food or liquid into our keyboards. What's the worst thing you've ever let fall between your keys? I've never had anything major, just some sauce and bread crumbs. I can usually get them out quickly.

My brother spilled some weird super sour candy syrup stuff on the desk next to the keayboard and it seeped under it. I stopped it before it got anywhere it could do real damage. Though the bottom of my mouse is all scuzzy now.

I'd say the worst was that frozen fudge pop that melted all over the "N" key but I was able to clean it up.

Popsicles, milk, powerade, various juices, energy drinks, and sodas. Lots and lots of cat hair. Salsa, sour cream, cheese dip, and various kinds of chips. Snot. Drool. Maple syrup. Hair gel. Also once made love with my sweetie sitting on the desk, right on top of the KB, so take that as you will.

Kiretsu Soda on my Brothers Powerbook keyboard. Soup onto mine. crying That killed it. Ack! Anything on a portable's KB is deadly to the poor thing. I've got a Model M, so I just take off the keys and wash it out; in extreme cases the top rack of the dishwasher works just fine. A laptop on the other hand, what a way to ruin a 1000$+ KB. =\

On my old desktop, way back when I was still using the performa, I tripped while leaving the kitchen to the living room, and dropped a bowl of icecream on the keyboard. Needless to say, I got a new one after that. Chocolate surup is not a good toping for a keyboard.

2 drops of water. Killed my favorite, ergonomic keyboard.

Even though I have glasses riddled with various liquids around my keyboard at all times, I have never spilled any...
Maybe a little hair... human, if you will... ^_^;;;

I once spilt gas all over a keyboard but that was on purpose as we were killing a 1998 hp emachine. we covered it in gas and lit it on fire funny thing is it still booted up as it was burning made it to the login screen then died. horrifying really horrifying.

Crumbs. Maybe some rice. For all the times I eat and drink at the computer, I'm surprised I haven't put a keyboard out of commission yet.
