Backs of our Hands
It’s not all too bad that our sky will be falling, What bothers me is that I know how it feels, Painting the roses red, losing my mind The train thought it could but it strained on square wheels.
When stars are aligned but the hero has lost, There’s nothing to know but the backs of our hands, We’ve tried to go forward and found future slipping, We’ve tried to go back and we’ve found that we can’t.
So we trace every vein in the sky as it falls Know all its depths as we know our own skin Memorize sunlight as it melts our faces But knowing has never recompensed a sin.

Good job! But do you know what I thought of when I read 'painting the roses red'? That song off Alice In Wonderland.
'We're painting the roses red, we're painting the roses red.' ...Okay, I'm done here.... sweatdrop
