i was riding a horse too small for me and well we were doing hunter courses so i felt wierd so i was cantering my line then vertical and i jumped before him and he stopped,i landed on his neck holding on to his ears and of course he descided to jump now so up i go his neck squishing my chest. My coach told me to do it again so i did with out problems though heart sweatdrop

Ah I've been there too, riding a 14hh pony since the horse I was to ride was lame. Same thing happened to me, except I was more... riding the neck, like I would be sitting in a saddle.
We all learn from our mistake, right? Just glad you weren't hurt in any way.

We all learn from our mistake, right? Just glad you weren't hurt in any way. Wow thats a small pony and really? ouch but like you said we learn from our mistakes and it's true.

Yeah, jumping is definately a learning experience. I had a horse refuse on me once. Luckily for me when he stopped I did too and just slid off his back and onto my feet. Probably couldn't do it again if I tried. Everyone afterwards kept coming up to me and asking me how I managed to land on my feet. Honestly, I couldn't tell you. It all happened so fast. I still had the reins in my hand and was looking at my mount eye to eye. I'd much rather stay in the saddle... but sometimes the horse has other ideas! LOL!!!

Yeah I've been there when I was like 9. It was my first time cantering bareback and I was put on this punny pony with the most sideways canter EVER! So we were in the dressage arena and I cantered one way perfectly fine, but when we reversed I fell of...TWICE. I fell off and rolled under the fence at "A" and I slid off and did an emergency dismount thingy un-gracfully and on accident at "C"
