Are you tired of the cutesy anime/manga with little cat girls, school girls, high-pitched voiced-candy shop owning-naive-ditzy-big breasted girls? Tired of the predictable heroes and damsels in distress? Tired of knowing how it's all going to end? Then post about it here.
It's really insane, I don't understand how people keep falling in love with the SAME story over and over. The character ideas are seriously lagging, what with the brief description I just posted above. The stories are redundant, and quite frankly, anime/manga cat girls and school girls and "OMG KAWAIIIIIIIIIiii!!!1@%~!" -girls are generic, outdated, and annoying.

Everyone's taste in Anime varies. I'm the type that likes action and what keeps me wondering and guessing.
Yes, some of those Animes disappoint me. I used to be one of them who liked those Animes and Mangas, but when I found better Animes/Mangas, I forgot them.
I have to agree that the school girl thing is used way too much.

Any idea can get tired and overdone if you aren't careful. I tend to like actions shows with a bit of comedy thrown in. I also like a lot of the school oriented stuff (maybe because I spend so much time there that I can relate.)

yes i am tired of the same anime all the time stressed i want an anime that is inovative, easy to read/watch (anime and manga parts)
and it is easy to watch the story line and come in to it thats all i ask

i agree that the cat-girl thing is a bit stupid (never really liked it) & lately school girl has been used waaaay 2 much. some r good cuz their really not in skool very often while others are waaaay too annoying!

The catgirl thing is very overused on a forum I'm in. But then again, it is manly a neko based forum. Still drives me insane but I don't mind it as much anymore. :/
I actually haven't seen very many anime and the ones I do seem to have different plot lines from one another. So, I never really get bored unless the plot line just doesn't interest me.

I really like Ouran High School Host Club, and it's a High School anime. C:
It doesn't reallt have that love triangle thing so much, and is actually unique from the other High School plots.

Good characters and writing can bring new life to an over-used storyline or premise.
Of course, another reason could very well be that the people getting into these shows some of us may see as cliched and unoriginal have never seen anything like it before, and thus to them, it's original.

I agree though. When I got into anime at first I started out with the common things, like, oh let me think... Sailor Moon.
Now, the plot is original but the characters aren't. A bunch of high school girls in uniforms fighting crime. But I didn't know at the time there were bunches of other animes with those kind of characters, so I thought, "Whoa! This is so cool!"
If anyone of you understand what I'm saying in that mess of grammar. (When I'm thinking and typing at the same time it ruins my concentration on typos and the like...)
