Anyways, the title does not lie. I do indeed have a new strategy to getting your homework done completely, especially for those who tend to just get sick and tired of doing homework after a while. Trust me, this is coming from the girl who blows off her homework for talking with people she doesn't even know, and her grades are slipping for it. So here's a place where I'm going to give you some of my homework help tips that are actually helping me this year!
Anyways, I just noticed this today, when I just did all my homework, including make-up homework, and took the time to type up ALL my notes, and organized all of my notebooks (even my Romeo and Juliet work!!!). Sounds like I'm just a geeky loser with no life right? Wrong. During this whole time, I was talking to my boyfriend, and listening to music (well, that's no surprise).
What happened today, was that I bought an energy soda (Mountain Dew MDX). I have always loved Mountain Dew, and I knew that having enough made me hyper beyond reason. I had no clue that having the hyperactivity from a Mountain Dew and the "Power Boost" from the energy soda would practically turn me into an honors student. I had the energy (mental and physical) to do ALL of my homework, and when I got frustrated and didn't understand something, I didn't give up on it like I usually do; I got my boyfriend to help explain it to me! ^^ Alan, you're so awesome.
Okay, so there's the energy drink idea. I wouldn't suggest getting too dependent on that...
Another method I use is listening to music. What music we can listen to while doing homework depends on the music we listen to. Some people listen to new age while doing homework, while others listen to heavy music or classical. The most important thing is finding a playlist of music that doesn't distract you from your studies, but also doesn't bore you to the point that you don't want to do anything anymore. This has been proven through all of my years in school to be successful in getting more work done at a more efficient rate.
So those are two major methods that I use to help get my homework done. I'll post a blog about some of my study habits (like you people who are jealous of my OH SO PRO Spanish skills...heheh....*sweat*) in another blog, so feel free to check back any time! Or even better, post some of your helpful habits too
