Hello, my Spanish Galleons! heart
This thread is dedicated to those timeless classics that you...HATE. Be it some gory horror text or a mushy love affair that you can't stand, this is the place to renounce your love for a certain book that you mistakingly read.
May I begin?
I HATE The Island of Dr. Moreau! H.G. Wells was imaginative, but in a sick, twisted way. It used sensory description to detail disgusting things like being licked on the leg by abhorred abominations of nauture.
Not to mention, the ending of this novel was greatly dissastisfying. After Prendick escaps from the isle, no one believes what he witnessed, and he's left to read books alone for solace. And something like that.
