Okay, I figured to start off with pretty common ground. Harry Potter, like it? Hate it? Why? Can't explain? No problem, just thought I'd ask! I personally love Harry Potter. I've never given much thought into why. I think that it's because...well a lot of reasons actually. It's about a boy who becomes a wizard. Whose ever heard of that(well a lot of people actually)? And it happens in modern times. Whose ever heard of that? I really don't know why I like Harry Potter, but I just do, and I'm highly anticipating the 7th book.

I think it really set grounds for books in the fantasy genre. Which is good, because it good. But I don't like how it's been going. Harry annoys me.
And another bad thing (as an author): Whenever I say I'm writing a fantasy story. The first thing that comes out of someones mouth is: 'Like Harry Potter?' (That and Eragon...)

^If that doesn't make sense to you, it's because I have strong opinions about things, but sometimes they don't come out the way I would like them to. I'm agreeing with Lehcar, in case you didn't get that.

It makes perfect sense. It simply drives me insane when my mother says my story is 'just like Eragon'. When she hasn't read either. I only use a dragon in 'Harte' once! For comic relief.

I don't see anything in your story thats like Eragon except said dragon that i don't think is in any of the chapters you've posted yet...

And yes, Ynar from 'Harte' is my favorite character. Even though I'm the author, I still love him. (He's adorable and cuddly for a monsterous demon okay!?)

I failed in the 'unlikable-villian' concept. I don't have many unlikable characters. Belac is my exception.
JKR did a good job at it though. I'm honestly hoping she wanted Draco Malfloy to have a fan following. I think she did though. Because he has a bigger one than Harry.
