7/7/05- Good news- After months of procrastinating... FLF is back and hopefully better. Bad news- I myself will not participate. I don't general RP anymore, so y'know, I'll sit back and watch you guys have all the fun.

Intro
Sheltered lives are not uncommon. Tyrants rule over everywhere; from Cescion to to Livalir. All the people know is there is day and night. But there are rumors from a far away land. So far away, that one can live a free life, and actually feel the sea breeze, and smell the flowry fields. But was it real? Many have tried to find it, but never got past their city's gates. What is beyond them? And what are the tyrants intentions? Only you can find out.......

Edit by SLJ: Everyone, this is going to be archived since i trust it will be a very successful RP. So please, spend time on your posts. I will be very strict about this, and delete anyone's post who doesn't meet RP Format standard. You may very well have to re-do the whole post a second time, which results in more of your time being wasted because you didn't bother to spend a little more of your time the first time around.

Backstory: Xiao was originally born in Karswan, but due to the population control was sent to Central City. Her parents were both killed by Wanga. Xiao once used her cunning to evade Wanga, and escape his palace. She longs to return to Karswan to be reunited with her sister, who got to remain.

Backstory: When Ranorth was born, he was chosen to lead a life of servitude in to the city gaurd. He rose through the ranks as his skill improved and soon he was the best hunter ever. Being able to walk through the forests without making a sound. He is one of the few citizens allowed to leave the city, as he hunts for the fresh meat that Kerri feeds on. He is the only man who can ignore her come-ons as he has no need for phsycal contact with anyone, prefering his own solitude.

Backstory: Lucky to be in the cheerfulest and ritchest city, Rose had been given a good education by her parents who owns a book store. She can read and write, making her highly intellegent for her age. She studys in the art of black magic from hidden books, and gets her materials by stealing them from others. Her goal: to find out what is out there, beyond the city that she is 'caged' in. Being a black mage, she is sarcastic, cynical and cold on the outside, but strong, smart and clever in the inside.

Backstory: Has lived a fairly ordinary life in Urnaih. He was a decent student in school but graduated just recently. Since then he has gotten a job at one of his favorite stores. He has always had a facination with weapons and armor, and he also would like the chance to actually get to use him. He even got the store owner to make him a custom kind of armor that he could wear around normally and not look awkward.

Backstory: A man inheiring riches, Max couldn't ask for more. He wondered if there is more to life than passing on his kind and skills and running the family business. Some of his strengths plus weaknesses are: runs fast over short distance, decent hand-eye co-ordination, focused when fighting, has fairly good knowledge of what is going on and fairly good overall knowledge. But his endurance isn't that brilliant and his armour cannot withstand axe blows.

Physical description: His light armor is blue, and his long cape is back. His amber eyes are piercing yet warm, and they always have a slightly sad look to them. He has silver hair with black strikes in it reaching about 3 inches below his broad shoulders. His stubborn bangs always hang over his face, covering one eye. His mouth is usually closed, and he doesn't talk much. He hangs a katana at his side, and his magic power is great. He is muscular, yet very slim. He walks around the city in his handmade wooden sandals.
Backstory: He is of a family of respected swordsmen, and he is one, too. His parents and he plan to escape the filthy city of Livalir, and were beginning to plan the escape when a group of murderers cut his parents down from behind. His anger welled up inside of him as he drew his sword, sweeping the blade about him, cutting down every murderer. He continues to plan his escape, alone.

The "World"
The world of Terre is a small place to the citizens. To them, it consisted of five cities; Livalir-The city of the north, Urnaih-The city of the east, Cescion-The city of the south, Karswan-The city of the west, and Central City- the city in the middle of them all. Even the smartest scholars could never imagine a larger world. But there were people who believed that it was more then just the five cities, that there was so much more. For that, they risked lives.
Livalir- Dirty, old, and cold. Livalir gets no funding from Cheat. The citizens are forced to live off mold and rats. Nobody ever smiles. People are lucky to even get out of the city, into the next. It's often dark in this city, even in day.
Urnaih- A brigher city. The citizens are very easy-going, and have a good outlook on life. Many men try to force thier daughters to marry Salimar, so they can prosper. Urnaih is better looking then the other cities, and clean, actually.
Cecsion- A city of red. Being her favorite color, Kerri painted it all red. but, the citizens are very timid. They fear of breaking one of the laws. Because of thier timidity, they often stay inside their homes. From outside, the city looks very nice.
Karswan- the less populated city. Many people are quite rich, and the citizens are very happy and kindly. But, there is a law only 5000 people can live there, since the tyrant is such a good person (He wasn't the one to even make the law.) Many people try to escape to it, but never seem to make it.
Central City- a business city. Many shops, many eateries, many everything. The people here are not afraid to die, since they expect it. The tyrant goes on killing sprees, after all. It's semi nice, pretty clean, easy to set up a trade, easy to live a short life.
Residents of Livalir-
Residents of Urnaih- Amalla, Arkion Lixendor, Maxi Nefererti
Residents of Cescion- Ranorth Greyman
Residents of Karswan- Rose
Residents of Central City- Xiao Myng
As the parties travel, new lands can be unlocked and discovered. But the challenge is, can they pass the gates into the great beyond?
Note: Your character must come from one of these 5 cities, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Note2: The 5 cities are in a state of Medieval (sp >.<) times. There is no electricity or indoor plumbing or guns.

The Tyrants
Each city has a ruler; a tyrant. Each man has his own way of ruling his people, but equally harmful. What are they're intentions, anyhow? None of the citizens have lived to tell the tale of meeting them...
Cheat Gomez- Livalir's Tyrant
A man who has nothing to do with ruling; but with money. Therefore, Livalir is more of a slum than a city. The man makes taxes too high, and keeps the money to himself. He is a burly man, and over eats. Also has a very quick temper. He often hires new employees every couple of days.
Salimar Usuki- Urnaih's Tyrant
A weasly old-timer. Salimar is the oldest of the tyrants. Quite a lady's man; he has 27 wives. He always looking for more also. As for ruling, he does it quite well. He puts a quarter of his money towards the city, and the rest to himself and his wives. Very
Kerri Milana- Cescion's Tyrant
The only female tyrant. She is nasty, and what you call and office whore. She can seduce any an in 2 minutes flat. Kerri wears only the latest fashions, that is, not anything from what her people wears. And she makes the silliest laws.
Sharver Qasway- Karswan's Tyrant
Sharver is probably the most sensible of the Tyrants. He wants so badly to let his people know all of the secrets. But then he would killed. So, he tries to be a good ruler. People often feel good living in Karswan because of him. So, the number of people who live there are limited.
Casa Von Wanga- Central City's Tyrant
The worst of them all. He is the definition of evil. He abuses the people, and goes aroung killing them for no reason. Tall, and sharp bird-ish feature. People fear him, even they don't live in Central City. There has been no one to ever see him without dying.

Endless, endless cleaning, endless customers, endless confinement. I hate this place. Xiao rolled her eyes, the pile of dirty dishes in front of her never washed themselves. And neither did the tables, and the floor and the bar. She never had been cut out for domestic work. She set her rag down on the bar, and lay her head down on the wood. She recoiled, her forehead now dripping with spilled beer. I need to get OUT of here.

Returning from his latest hunt, Ranorth called up to the men on the walls. He dragged his kills in behind him. A healthy buck and a brace of connies. As he passed under the walls and in to the citys perimeter he looked behind him as the heavy gates clanged shut behind him. He knew he was one of the few let out of the city and he enjoyed it. In the forest was where he belonged.
