It was nighttime and Subaru was performing an exorcism on the possessed girl. Behind him were the worried parents as they watched the ritual performance. As the 13th Sumeragi chanted his spell, a gush of wind blew by and yet the window was shut tight. Loud screamed came out of the girl's mouth, making the mother terrified and worried about losing her daughter. The furnitures around them shook violently, yet the omnyouji continued chanting. The girl let out one final scream before falling back onto her bed. Subaru got up and turned his attention to the parents. "It is done. Your daughter is now free from a possessive spirit."
The parents thanked him and went to their daughter to comfort her as the 13th Sumeragi walked out. When he was out of the house, he looked back through the window to see the parents and daughter hugging and smiled together. A hint of pain shoot through his heart as the omnyouji looked up and said, "Will I be able to be free from my possessive spirit?"
