I've noticed in my video store last year that the new volumes have "Ah" My Goddess as opposed to "Oh" My Goddess. Can anyone tell me the reason why?

*ahem* well the original title is "Aa! Megami-sama!" which normally translates to "Ah! My Goddess!"
now, way back when America was looking to license the manga and the OAV, they noticed the translation of the title resembled the American phrase "Oh My God!" and decided to distribute it as "Oh My Goddess!" as a pun (i guess) and this decision was even approved by Kosuke Fujishima himself.
Many hard core fans dislike this title, so when Pioneer licensed the movie, they chose to make the fans shutup and title the movie as "Ah! My Goddess!"
