WEll I figure there must be some poets or writers in this guild and they must want to share their work. So let's share it.
We can help each other by giving our insite and criticism. Remeber not all criticism is good, but it is all helpful if given the right way. In no way will be bash, poke fun or insult anyone's story or poems this is a place to post what you've written and see what others have to say about it.
On another note not all of us like to write, or feel talented enough to write something original ((like me)), but love to read then share your favorite stories or poems here and we can have a literary discussion.

Here is a silly really silly attemp at a poem:
The bird has no name, He goes as he came, He flys to be free from the world below, He flys with such ease in the direction the wind blows. He is blue, he is red, he likes to be fed. HE's small, but he's tall, he follows the fall......
-I really don't know where I was going with this peom, I just like to write poems that ryme.

Here's another attempt at a poem:
I gave everything I had to offer, every ounce of my heart, you swore to me we'd never be apart. In the end I lost, they only feeling you left was pity entwined with lust. Why did you fill my heart with illusions of hope, it's now all empty with a love that's no more than a ghost.
You promised to stand by my side when I couldn't stand alone, You promised to help me get a hold of my life when it got out of control. What's the point of all these promises, in the end your gone. You betrayed my heart and left me stranded with nothing to hope for and empty handed.

here's something from a compilation of poetry I've written
Yes, Cards. Torn like the paper they are, strewn across the ground. Let's play fifty-two pickup. Find my pieces, put me back together. But leave out the jokers, the jacks, the aces. Give me kings and queens.

Here's a poemy thing (more like lyrics, actually) I wrote year or couple of years ago.
One, two, three, The faint sound echoes In these halls, Where your song was once played.
Once upon a time, When prince still had his princess, I guess I had a place too.
In these halls, there’s no happiness anymore, Only empty walls sing in their misery. Blood was spread here, wasn’t it? Someone died here in the past, right?
Once upon a time, When stories were still told, Maybe I had a heart too.
No longer can I feel anything. To me the sun is cold like ice, So is this very soul of mine.
Once upon a time, When everything was different, There was happiness too.
I walk through the halls, Looking for something. Perhaps my heart, Perhaps you, so someone would love me again.
Once upon a time, When I had you, I guess it was love back then, right?
As I walk, I think of you, How things were so different in past, If I could, I guess I would return to that time, No matter about the pain.
Once upon a time, When there still was a happy ending, I should have ended it there.

You know completely the taste of sin. Melting sweet in your mouth like [Chocolate]. »@Catz: Good starts, but you seem to mix prose within it. xP so it just comes out messy. But I like the underlying ideas.A moment of pleasure you are fulfilled, but every dream has it's time to [die].

All of my stories are horribly depressing 3nodding
But I did write a cute poem a few Sundays ago while I was attempting to complete an SAT practice test.
I wrote it in the booklet, near #12 in the third english section..
I can't possibly work on Sunday.. Not for faith or religion the shows on television.. or even the notion of Monday my mind is somewhere else my thoughts are on the shelf.. on my desk all my work will stay

I like how it's jagged, I think that works well for this poem. 3nodding

Not for faith or religion the shows on television.. or even the notion of Monday my mind is somewhere else my thoughts are on the shelf.. on my desk all my work will stay I like it. Especially the first 3 lines. It's a good start to something I think can be a bigger poem. Maybe you can start over by making your last line your first line and adding on to it.
I should take in that advice. xp

*Points timidly to poem*
What if I touch here? Does it sting? Does it burn? Does it scar? A white gash? A black mark? A red hot memory? A blue cold thought? I want it to hurt. I want your chest, Your stomach, your shoulders, to contract. To squeeze me out. To admit their hate of me. Their contempt. That you won't see. That you can't see. That I won't let you see. That crawling, Festering, Seething hate. Saved for lovers, and friends, and fears. That hate that grows, like weeds. Digging roots deeper into the soft rotting soil. What if I touch here? Does it cause your lips to tremble? Your knees to fail? Your body to slump into mine? Or does it hurt worse? Knowing its not true? Like white ink, on black paper. Red ice covered in, blue blood. What if I touch here? Does it stop?
Not written for any reason, just how my mind works at two in the morning >.O

[~ Here's a rather recent one. It's more of a story, not a poem:
THE SHADOW OF THE SNOW.
Everyday I pass by a thin, black cat. It seems that it doesn’t like anyone. Though it is as beautiful as a red rose, its attitude defines it all. It always hisses at me, every time I pass by. It is always biting on a bloody rat, making it seem like a blood-thirsty monster. But deep down I know that it has a reason to its violence, even though she acts like a demon.
One day, I saw it covered with blood, as if it was kicked and stomped on. I looked at its mouth and there was no rat. It was holding a newborn kitty.
I understood why it always acts that way; it was protecting something precious to it. I would do the same, even if it destroys my image. I respected the cat every time it passes by me, but it really won’t show any affection
On a winter day, I saw bloody cat-prints on the pure, white snow. I followed the foot-prints and then I saw… The worst sight I have ever seen. The same black cat that always passes me.
Beside it was a small kitten, mourning for the loss of something precious… It was crying and whining, it broke my heart. As I saw a teenager who had bloody hands, laughing and mocking. I broke down to my knees; I thought “What heartless creature would have done this? “ Tears fell out of my eyes, as I carried the cat to a very special place… The place where I always see it pass me, I buried it in the cold, hard ground. As the black cat was under the cold land, the poor kitten was whining and crying.
I put the kitten beside its mother, the creature that protected it till the end. The kitten’s whine put tears on my eyes, The thought of that day still echoes through my mind, the cat who risked its life. ~]

I like how it's jagged, I think that works well for this poem. 3nodding It was part of a larger compilation of untitled poems that all run together in response to something my friend wrote. We spent about an hour writing poems back and forth, each responding to the previous. The whole thing was a bloody mess really, but it was fun, and if you were to read it you would see the context
