Okay, okay, okay
So
We have Naruto here, a hyperactive, obnoxious failure of a kid, and Sasuke, an ice cube personified with ninja skills, and some psychological problems.
What brought them together and why them? Of course we all know it's supposed to make a story, but I'll get to that. You see, in case you haven't noticed, it's always a Naruto/Sasuke conflict, and the side characters always bash on Naruto and pay more attention to Sasuke. Any event that occurs always augments the skills of one or the other. Whenever Sasuke enters the picture, it's comparing him to Naruto, when he's "offscreen," the characters are either directly or indirectly thinking about him.
So what am I trying to say?

That Naruto, by Kishimoto Masashi, is the story of Sasuke told through Naruto's eyes.
If you haven't noticed, he's always mentioning that Sasuke is ruining his life, going so far as to say "It's Sasuke this, Sasuke that, story of my life!!"
So what do you think?

fangirls can twist anything in their minds.
obscure character pairings. etc.
actually. rule for yaoi fangirling. if there are two male characters, no matter, they're bound to get paired up.
... fangirls are scary. :c
and you bring up a good point. naruto's pov. sasuke's merely a friend, perhaps close.

I almost completely agree with that statement he is always talking about sasuke and his accomplishments so it is almost like telling sasuke's story through another character that seems more imporatant.

I agree. Though Naruto is somewhat about Naruto quest to becoming the top ninja in his village, the story revolves largely around Sasuke and his conversion to evilness.
