Keep thinking about GS/D, and the lack of update is a bit disappointing--really hope they do make it a trilogy and come out with a third "sequel". In the meantime, are there any other Gundam series (with similar artwork) that people would suggest? This doesn't look too bad, has anyone read it?

There's plenty of other Gundam series, but none that have came out recently. SEED is the latest series of Gundam along with its sequel and side stories. Not to mention, that there really isn't any others with similar artwork.
Though I would suggest perhaps taking an interest in Gundam Wing, G Gundam, 08th MS Team, and Gundam 0083....if you haven't already.

Sadly, the only other series I've seen is Wing (though I did enjoy it, watching through the plot holes XD). However, my friends and I want to see the original Gundam and Z Gundam...
SEED's artwork is different in the fact that its people are 'bug-eyed', as some call it... ^^;;

i've seen quite a few of the Gundam Series; Wing, S, 0083, the original Gundam, Seed, Destiny and Zeta.
Besides Seed, the newest one released was the Zeta movie, a year back or so? that was okay....

Doesn't Zeta Gundam have some of the original characters from Mobile Suit Gundam??? Especially Amaro Ray? I can't stand that character. I really didn't like that series, but the movie Char's Counterattack wasn't that bad.

Mrs. Athrun Zala Doesn't Zeta Gundam have some of the original characters from Mobile Suit Gundam??? Especially Amaro Ray? I can't stand that character. I really didn't like that series, but the movie Char's Counterattack wasn't that bad.

they did that with a couple of the other Gundam Series as well, since no one ever thought of making the movie series back when the original anime was released. its similar to disney i think; they pull the series out of the vault, enhance the pictures and sounds and add bonuses. next thing: all the old fans come running to buy it!

~I think it's the only one. Well, unless you want to count them showing Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam 0083 a couple years back on tv a re-release.
But yeah, I read something about it as well. Something about when Gundam first started, it wasn't that popular and not many people knew about it until the series Gundam Wing came out in the US. It caught a lot of people's attention and then Gundam became a franchise and that's when they started releasing other Gundam series and then decided to bring back the old Mobile Suit Gundam series. Its also the reason why the old creators decided to make movies of the old series as well such as Zeta Gundam. I think Char's Counterattack was one of them...that came out a few years ago.

XD i wonder why they decided to create SD Gundam Force when every other gundam series was made with much more maturity and for an older audience. that took in way more ratings than the "children's gundam series"
yeah yeah yeah! i've seen both the original gundam and zeta gundam, and gseed and gsd of course! XD
didn't know they rereleased zeta though...
