Immortal Methos
Vice Captain

PostPosted: Sat Mar 17, 2007 7:05 pm

Name: Adam Pierson
Occupation: Librarian, former Watcher
Identity: Methos (alias: Dr. Benjamin Adams, Et Maru, Death, etc.)

Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 150 lbs
Race: Immortal
Gender: Male
Eye Color: hazel-green
Hair Color: dk brown/black, worn short and a little spikey on top
Distinguishing Features: Slender and lanky, he tends to wear oversized clothes and slouch a bit to make himself appear smaller and weaker than he is. He affects a "poor bookish grad student" appearance, shy and socially awkward. His nose is somewhat prominant but well-shaped, with expressive -- often twinkling -- eyes on either side.

Place of Birth: Unknown, even by Methos. Whatever his root ethnicity may have been contributed to his pale skin, runner's build, and nearly hairless body. He barely grows facial hair, which may be racial but could also mean his first death was in his teens. Over time he has managed to look a bit weathered, upping his apparent age to midtwenties.
Age: 5000+ (but looks like someone in his midtwenties)
Education: His long life has been a varied and constant learning experience. Has earned many degrees over the decades/centuries, but how does a man his apparent age display a diploma from 1453 on his office wall?
Marital Status: Married 67 -- no, 68 times. Currently single.
First Teacher: Unknown.

Special Skills: computer hacking (in fact, nearly everything that has to do with computers); studied off and on through the centuries -- especially in more learned times -- medicine (and has often portrayed himself as a doctor in the past); 5000 years of learning swordplay and using that knowledge to save his own head; melee with all sorts of weapons from guns to throwing knives to clubs; jury-rigging; jack-of-many-trades; chameleon

Quirks: Methos' first instinct when a battle looms is to look for an exit; loves beer; hates mornings; loves old books; can be as cranky and snarky as a 5000 year old adolescent; hates giving advice because "nobody listens to anything I say anyway"; nearly-fatal attraction to Duncan MacLeod. Carries an Ivanhoe broadsword conceiled in a special harness built into his coat, plus any other weapons he can shove into pockets and other hidden sheaths and harnesses. Even carries the occasional vial of poison hidden somewhere.

Powers: Immortal, can totally heal from any wound. Unable to permanently die unless his head is separated from his body. Most Immortals have a photographic memory, and Methos is no exception -- up to a point. Over 5000 years have lead to his earliest memories becoming lost or supressed, and it's possible that some things have leaked out or gotten fuzzy here and there.

History: More than 5000 years of it.

Man, I just had to do it!

Name: Duncan MacLeod
Occupation: Antique Dealer; Martial Arts instructor
Identity: Rightful Clan Chief of the Clan MacLeod

Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 200 lbs
Race: Immortal
Gender: Male
Eye Color: dark brown and soulful
Hair Color: dark brown/black, wavy, worn shoulderlength, often held back with clips
Distinguishing Features: Athletically muscular, he maintains a classically beautiful build. He moves with all the confidence and grace of a prince. His face is a perfect fit for his body, attractive masculine features, a rugged sort of GQ quality. He dresses tastefully and well, rather like a male model.

Place of Birth: In 1592, on the shores of Loch Shiel, Glenfinnan, Scotland. His root ethnicity is Scottish, though his colouring is darker than the norm of his adopted clan. The MacLeods are basically lighter skinned, blue of eye, with red-gold hair. Still, no one in the clan (including Duncan) knew he was adopted other than his foster parents Ian and Mary, until after Duncan’s first death.
Age: 400+ (but looks like someone in his late twenties, early thirties)
Education: Varied. Not so much early on other than training to be chief after his father, but has since become a diligent student of fighting styles, as well as anything else he takes an interest to.
Marital Status: Never married. (Series canon – Endgame broke canon, and the marriage to Kate is ignored here.)
First Teacher: Conner MacLeod, an Immortal “cousin” removed by 50 years difference.

Special Skills: knows many forms of fighting skills studied off and on through the centuries; antique appraisal; melee with all sorts of weapons from guns to throwing knives to clubs; field medicine; teaching; excellent cook; wine tasting – refined taste in general; sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong

Quirks: Duncan has a bad habit of seeing himself as the moral compass for other Immortals; loves hard, honest work; hates bullies (though he often finds himself in that role); loves old books; charm coming out of his a**; hates losing friends or family – is the consummate clan leader in that Protection of those he considers Clan is paramount. Carries a katana conceiled in a special sheath built into his coat.

Powers: Immortal, can totally heal from any wound. Unable to permanently die unless his head is separated from his body. Immortals have photographic memories.

History: More than 400 years of it. Currently: Duncan MacLeod owns a dojo where martial arts are taught, lives over the top of it in a bachelor flat, and does part time teaching and antique trading.

Race: Immortal
Gender: Male

Place of Birth: England, 1216
Age: 790+ (but looks like someone in his late twenties)
Education: A varied and constant learning experience, mostly by way of the School Of Hard Knocks.

Quirks: A lover, not a fighter; thief and opportunist; seductive; dishonest but can be counted on to do the Right Thing. Carries a slim straight sword conceiled somehow in her skimpy outfits. Don't ask...

Powers: Immortal, can totally heal from any wound. Unable to permanently die unless her head is separated from her body. Photographic memory.

History: More than 1185 years of it. Generally tends to make a living outside the law, because it's more fun!

Hey, what about Richie Ryan or the ladies introduced in season six as candidates for "The Raven"?

Don't wanna! biggrin Sadly for Mac, Richie is dead in the time frame I usually RP, and most of those Raven wannabes were silly and annoying. I'm so glad they went for Amanda!

But one of them was Methos's sworn enemy. Surely that counts for something, or did she die in that episode?

All the Raven wannabes were in Season Six, right? In my rentals and back to back series watching, I'm ony up through Season Three. Seen bits and pieces o the rest, though.

Yeah, Season 6. It was one long Raven audition tape of Immortal femes, mostly with names starting with the much over-used letter K. Joe and I were the only ones to save that season. *grumble*
