Willow Tree:
As you get past a clearing in the forest where there is finally open space and grass you see a very large and thick tree. It would take three people holding hands to be the width of it all. The leafs hang off delicatly and while you could climb it; it seems better to just fall asleep under it. There is mostly moss all around the area, and while it is ontop of a hill there is a large pond. A large moon is placed up in the sky at night time, and when you sit down by the tree you can see it reflected in dark waters.
There was a legend about lovers who came here, they weren't allowed to be together because of different reasons for each story told of them. However, they were both sitting by the edge, on their last day together when suddenly one of them slipped into the water when she was sitting on a muddy area. The other soon followed, and when their bodies were found, they were both holding hands with a smile on their face. It is said that this is the place where you can find what your looking for, life, death, answers, or love.

Mel was leaning against the willow tree, unaware of its legends or much of anything at this point. She had been told by Serena that to bring Sei back to life; she would have to be at even terms. She was also told to go to the woods and Mel knew what she had to do, she wasn't going to admit she hadn't been a little scared. She had been ready though, to...die for Sei as strong as that sounded. She wasn't exactly dead yet, so hopefully he wouldn't freak out too much when he saw her. She glanced over at the setting sun and closed her eyes for a minute as she went over what she had been through. It was so random, but there was a serious of things and people she went through in the forset. Mostly she had just been running away from this huge monster, she never got a chance to see it even. She had been cut up by trees, and then tripped by some ghost, over and over [not Sei D8] and an arrow had cut across her skin, pinning her to a tree. In the end, the monster was what had got her though, her clothing was long since gone, black underware still with her though.
That wasn't her worries though anymore; she just needed Sei to show up before she actually died. The cuts and long, deep gashes were along her body, up to her chest and down to her legs. There was a shard of glass still in her side which she pulled out and panted against the tree.

Sei wandered towards the willow tree, intending to meet with Mel. But the sight that greeted him stopped him in his tracks. He froze, going rigid, as he stared in horrified shock at Mel. She was so beat up, most of her clothing gone, bleeding everywhere... He winced, then quickly darted towards her, pulling her into his arms. "Are you ok?" he asked frantically, though it was obvious she wasn't. "What happened? Why is this..?" He had her hand in his, turning it over and over as he helplessly stared at the scratches and cuts.

Mel was glad to be in his arms again, and her body went limp when he held her, she was glad she didn't have to stand up for the moment. "I'm glad you made it..." her voice was weak as possiable, but it was still her voice. "I had to make it even before we brought you back to life" was all she said for her explanation figuring he would understand well enough. She glanced over at the setting sun, it was already almost gone, she leaned into him for support for only a moment longer. She tugged him away again as she fell back against the tree, barely able to stand up, she was about to die after all, not the most fun experience ever. "We just need to wait a minute longer" she said as she closed her eyes for a moment, but hten opened them shortly after, afraid that she might not wake up again.

Sei stared at her with an almost pained expression. She was dying, dying! Of wounds that looked even more painful than those which had killed him. He'd had a single gunshot, though it might've been even more; he couldn't remember. But she was all torn up. It was horrible. He couldn't even look! But he did anyway, carefully holding her to himself. "Wh-what?" he stammered. Make what? Make it back here? Didn't she realize that being revived would be pointless if she died in the process?! She pulled away, and he watched her in stunned silence, then hurried towards her again. The blood he'd gotten on himself from touching her simply fell through him, dropping to the ground, but he didn't pay it any attention. "Please don't," he whispered, staring at her. Please don't die...!

Mel had gone through pain that she didn't want to think about, but she really didn't want Sei to know about it either. She wanted him to calm down of course, but it was hard to focus on much of anything right now. She had been a bit curious to see what the feeling was like when you were about to die, knew it, and couldn't do anything about it. Sei must have felt lonely with no one helping him being around, but Mel didn't in the least bit. "Sei, I didn't just go and kill myself so I would go and die silly" she said chuckling slightly at her joke. She tugged onto his hand as she stood next to him, glancing over at the sky expectantly. She turned back to him as she closed her eyes "I love you. Okay?" she asked with a small smile as she opened one eye then the other. She stood in front of him, not leaning on the tree anymore and kept both of his hands in hers. "Just close your eyes" she said softly as she pressed her head against his and a light soon started to radiate from her.

Sei stared at her blankly, at a loss. But if she'd killed herself... she'd die, right? She wasn't going to stay dead? Would they both be revived again together? His hopes soared at that moment, and he smiled weakly down at her, gripping her hand carefully in his, then sparing the sky a small glance because he'd seen her look. "I love you too.." he said quietly, watching her once again. She moved in front of him, and he stayed still, holding her hands and resting his head against hers also. The light suddenly appeared, but he didn't move, and just lightly closed his eyes.

Mel kept her eyes firmly closed, and the pain in her body went numb, she felt better as if someone had healed her already. She doubted that was it though, because she could still feel the slight bad feeling of blood coming down her arm. That probably wasn't going to go away as quickly, but soon all of her thoughts were cleared. There was not a thought left but what she wanted : for her and Sei to be alive and love each other. She had a feeling that Sei was thinking the same thing, but it was like someone was alligning this for them; it probably was Haru and Serena. When she opened her eyes again, the light was gone however there was a book that was opened in front of them and was floating peacefully. There were fireflies scattered across everywhere as well, and they danced along Mel and Sei's skin. She still held his right hand with her left as she walked over to the book, and very carefully extended her hand.
When she touched it, she jumped slightly because it had opened right up and she couldn't make out many words that were there. It was all kind of large and confusing, maybe even in a different language, and then just like that, the book was gone. Mel blinked, as she looked over at Sei, confused because she was still bleeding, but not dead and-. Wait. Wait! "Sei! Your hand is warm!" she squeeled as she tackled him right down to the ground.

Sei kept his eyes shut tightly, not sure what he was doing. All he did was cling to Mel's hands, the same thought rushing through his mind over and over. He wanted her to live, he wanted to be alive again, and he wanted to be with her. Somehow, he wanted that to happen. All of it. No matter what. It repeated over and over and over... until finally he opened his eyes. The light seemed to have faded, and now a book somehow floated between them. He stared at it, just watching as Mel touched it.
Soon after it disappeared again, and Sei just stared in shocked surprise, not at all sure what was happening. He turned to stare in confusion at Mel, and was in turn tackled to the ground. At first he was stunned, staring at her in absolute shock. Warm? Really, honestly, warm? Very slowly, he raised his hand and then set it against the ground. It collided, landing palm flat in the grass, instead of going through. "It didn't... work," he mumbled, then looked at Mel again. "I-it didn't!" He wrapped his arms around her tightly, feeling like he could cry. He was alive! And Mel seemed fine! Except. the blood seeped onto his clothing now, instead of passing through, and he looked at her in worry. "Are you ok though?"

Mel just grinned right back up at him as she watched him be overflowed with happiness. She couldn't believe they had actually done it, they had brought him back to life! And she wasn't dead either! However, she was a bit dissapointed to see that the blood was still flowing down on her body. She didn't want to worry him and take away his happiness, she wished it would just go away for a little while at least. "Uh...well...I guess I have to be left with the scars, but its really okay" she said as she gave him a nervous reasuring smile. The cuts across her stomach and chest were the deepest, and they were still there, blood coming out deeply. The lesser ones like the scratches had already been like stitched up, and they were no longer there. "I won't die from this obviously, I guess, I think it just has to be a reminder" she said slightly confused herself.
She tugged herself away from him lightly though as she didn't want him to get blood on his clothing, and went over to the pond. She didn't hesitate as she got into the chilly water, and started to work on getting away all the blood that had been on her body.

Sei watched her uncertainly as she spoke, and then heaved a small sigh. Scars as a reminder? He slowly tugged off his own shirt, curiously looking over his shoulder and down his back. After a moment he saw them; three deep scars, placed randomly across his skin, all pretty close to each other. So he guessed... he'd been shot three times by that guy. It'd been so long, he'd forgotten.
Shirt in his hand, he wandered towards the pond and kneeled by the edge, dipping his hand into the water. It felt cold, and wet. He could actually feel the texture and tempterature of the water. He smiled happily, then looked up to Mel. The expression still stayed, but not as bright. He walked right into the water, leaving his shirt by the edge so it'd stay dry, and wrapped his arms around her from behind, his face nuzzling against her neck. She was warm... "Should we head to the hospital?" he asked quietly.

Mel lightly blushed as she felt his hands go around her and his breath against her neck. "I don't want to go" she said her voice slightly shaikly, not really even over everything that happened. She was nervous somehow for some reason now that Sei was again human. As if she wouldn't be warm enough or something, an irriational fear but it was still there never the less. She turned around, her arms branching out as she pointed to her cuts "And uh...they are mostly gone, see?" she said as she looked at them. Though of course, just to her distaste, they were still bleeding, she blinked, her eye catching the reflection of him in the water.
"H-..Hey!" she said as she quickly spun herself around and went to the scars that were on his back. "Where did these.....oh, I'm sorry" she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper as she lightly ran her fingers against the marks. She pressed her head into his back as she almost tried to hid herself "I guess we better go then, just don't leave me alone when we get there" she said as she tugged onto his hands.

Sei watched her, his expression obviously worried. They were still bleeding, and it seemed to him like she'd need stitches or someting. When she pointed to them, he shook his head, smiling lightly. "No... 'mostly gone' isn't good enough, especially when that isn't true in the first place." He jumped lightly at her outburst, wondering if she had had a sudden pang of pain or something. But instead she'd moved around behind him, and begun tracing the scars. He just smiled gently, shaking his head. "It's not your fault," he replied. "So don't apologize for it."
He glanced over his shoulder at her, watching for a moment. "Alright, let's go. You can wear my shirt." That was why he'd left it on shore, so it'd stay dry. He was suddenly realizing random things though. Now that he was alive, he couldn't walk through things, he couldn't become invisible, he had to worry about staying healthy and eating again. He'd been a ghost for so long that all of his friends and family were long since dead. But he guessed it was all definitely worth it. "And I'll carry you, if you don't feel up to walking," he promised softly.

"I-I don't need help" she said softly, her blush still there lightly because now that all the serious life and death was done with she wasn't wearing much clothing. She walked up to shore and quickly slipped the shirt on over her body, since he was so skinny, it came just a little past her waist. She sighed lightly as she turned and looked over at him "I'm glad your okay though" she said her voice soft as ever. She smiled happily as she walked over to him and gave him a soft hug, careful to not get more blood on either of them. Mel took his arm linking it with hers as she started off to the hospital, she wondered why it had been seemingly so easy to do this.
Well...no that's a lie, she had almosted died and dragged Sei along for the ride, listening to the words of for all she knew, hallucinations. But Sei had always been worth the risk; still though, it seemed like brining two people back to life would leave things in a rumble, she shrugged off the thought though. "What will Akane say?" she asked gently as she looked up at him, a little worried now because she stole away Sei for days and fell in love with him and brought him back to life.
