So... i hae no life (just thought i'd get that out of the way) so sometimes i will go to borders or Barnes&Nobles and just sit there all day reading manga (like i did yesterday!!) but i have come to a dead end... all of the mangas i know of i have read to completion! (or at least i can't find the next in the series...) like the first series i read was ruruni kenshin (awsome) it took me about a month of going to B&N on the weekends but i read all 28 books mrgreen and i have read all of the naruto and FMA out, along with a great many other series. so i ask you people that are in this guild, what should i read? what manga rox your sox? personaly i like gory bloody action stuff! the perfect example would be one of my faves, Hellsing. but i also am a fan of a good story, like Ruruni is pretty much a perfect story, it has a good story, a protagonist with a shadowy past, just a pinch of romance (i'm not talking fruits basket, i'm talking "o no the chick is in danger save her!" "thank you for saving me!" that kind of romance) and plety of action romance. so, any sugestions?
(wow i did alot of rambling...)

Let's see... Gory action, huh? Diabolo has a good story, and PLENTY of gore... but it's incredibly short. "Short" as in three books, but still! I still really liked it, and in my opinion the art is incredible; which is always a huge plus for me. Let's see, what else...? Sorry, my brain's kinda dead right now.... gonk

No they are not similar... however if it had mutant cows in that book it would be highly interesting...I think the Butcher would be highly creepy though or just his warcry.Might even work...
I suggest if possible watching Peacemaker. It's similar to the same tale as ruroni kenshin. ^^ Except it isn't in the same way. The advancements in the story are based around the History of the Wolves of Mibu/Shinsingumi. The Manga is diffrent from the anime. (it helps to watch the anime first a lot)
As for messed up and Gorey...well someone once suggested Priest to me. Saying it was "messed up" I have not looked into it yet though so I can't really tell you anything about it...
hm...well there is always Getbackers. ^^ It has action and some comedy thrown in the mix. It is about a Recovery Agiencey who steals/takes back what the employer wants. I like this series...As for gorey...I don't think it really fits what you want for that. It can have creepy ideas but not like Diablo.

hm... never heard of peacemaker (accualy i think there is a topic of that in here?) and if i was going to watch it it would have to be on youtube, I'll look into that. and accualy i have read the first priest! its pretty awsome! ats about this priest who (for some reason) god turned his back on him (or something like that) and satan gave him another chance at life exept now he has to work for the devil. he is still a good guy but satan wants him to kill everyone (or something like that) and he kills deamons. nice and gory mrgreen . and i have also read the first getbackers. it was pretty awsome! i likes there powers! exept... it doesn't realy make sence that they are the only people that have powers... o well, nothing to be done about that.

Hey there is a topic of Peacemaker on here! Priest sounds intresting actually ^^. Maybe I should read it next time I go to the book store. Actually as they do more jobs they encounter others with powers or special talents that rival theres. Like the a few in the trasportation service.
Speaking about demons there is also chrno crusade! That ones pretty good too. It's about hunters of devils (of course) who try to stop a group from switching the place of heaven, hell, and earth. It has a sad ending but it has a few things that are never mentioned much in stories. Like Black Dogs. Also lots of action.

But I still haven't got the last one yet. And since it's been so long, I might need to reread them before I do buy it... sweatdrop

I haven't bought any yet. I have only read the first one and some of the others but...I don't know which ones! I wonder if the last book will be just as sad?

cool, I'll have to look into those to! (if i can remember the names... sweatdrop ) and deamons are always good, exept for the fact that if my mom saw one of the books she would probobly try to burn it... right in the middle of the store... and then scream at me for 3 hours about why i would go to hell if i read it... o wel! (and about the three hour part i'm not joking)

Poor you. Just have a comedy and the ones about demons and devils and what not...when someone walks by, read the comedy or just do what you have been.

everytime someone walks buy? do you have any idea how many people walk buy in the store every miniute? and besides i get so engrosed in my reading that i lose all contact with the outside world...
